Palermo, raging fire on a ferry SNAV Toscana: all rescued 113 passengers A fire broke out on the ferry SNAV Toscana, moored in the port of Palermo. Firefighters intervened immediately with the men of the Harbour, the police and the police. On board the ferry, from Naples, 113 passengers and 75 crew members, none of whom would be hurt. A bordo del traghetto, proveniente da Napoli, 113 passeggeri e 75 componenti dell’equipaggio, nessuno dei quali sarebbe ferito. L’incendio si è sviluppato nella sala macchine, quando il traghetto era ancora a un miglio dal porto. Il comandante ha subito fatto manovra per entrare nello scalo e agevolare l’intervento dei vigili del fuoco, comunicando alla Capitaneria di porto che la situazione era “sotto controllo”. I 113 passeggeri sono stati fatti radunare nei ponti di riunione, come previsto dal protocollo di emergenza. Una volta attraccato nel molo Santa Lucia, i vigili del fuoco hanno domato le fiamme. L’evacuazione dei passeggeri non è ancora cominciata: si teme infatti che l’apertura del portellone possa di nuovo alimentare il fuoco. “Le squadre di bordo, tempestivamente intervenute come da procedura, stanno ora proseguendo le attività in costante coordinamento con le strutture di terra preposte”, si legge in una nota di Snav. “I passeggeri sono costantemente informati circa l’evolversi della situazione”. La Procura di Palermo sta attendendo la relazione sull’incendio per valutare se aprire un’inchiesta. L’eventuale ipotesi di reato è incendio colposo.
