Allen Baron
Allen Baron (born in 1927, Brooklyn, New York, USA) is an American actor, film and television director. He is mostly known for writing and directing the 1961 film noir Blast of Silence, where he also plays the lead role. He went on to direct four other feature films and hundreds of television episodes such as Charlie's Angels, The Dukes of Hazzard, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, The San Pedro Beach Bums, and Cagney & Lacey.

Kyrie Irving
Kyrie Andrew Irving (born March 23, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Irving was born in Melbourne, Australia, but grew up in West Orange, New Jersey. He played collegiately at Duke University before being selected with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Cavaliers. Since being in the NBA, Irving has achieved a number of accolades including being the 2011–12 NBA Rookie of the Year and the 2014 NBA All-Star game MVP.
Early life
Irving was born on March 23, 1992 in Melbourne, Australia. He is the son of Drederick and Elizabeth Irving, and the step-son of Shetellia Irving. He has an older sister, Asia, and a younger sister, London. His father, Drederick, played college basketball at Boston University alongside Shawn Teague and under coach Rick Pitino. After completing his college career, Irving's father moved to Australia to play professionally for the Bulleen Boomers. Irving lived in the Melbourne suburb of Kew before relocating to the United States when he was two years old. He has dual citizenship in the United States and Australia. Irving's mother, Elizabeth, died from an illness when he was four, so Drederick raised him with the help of Irving's aunts.

Blast of Silence
Blast of Silence is an American crime/thriller film released in 1961. It was written and directed by Allen Baron and produced by Merrill Brody who was also the cinematographer.
Characters and story
Frankie Bono (Allen Baron), a hitman from Cleveland, comes to New York City during Christmas week to kill a middle-management mobster, Troiano (Peter H. Clune). First he follows his target to select the best possible location, and orders a gun from rat-loving dealer Big Ralph (Larry Tucker). One night, he meets a former friend from the orphanage he grew up in, rattling his cool and putting his life in danger.
Production notes
According to Turner Classic Movies web site, the "fist fight" scene was filmed on Long Island during Hurricane Donna (September 10–12, 1960), the only hurricane of the 20th century to blanket the entire East Coast from south Florida to Maine.
DVD release
The Criterion Collection released Blast of Silence on DVD in 2008. The disc's special features include a new, restored digital transfer, a making-of featurette (Requiem for a Killer: The Making of Blast of Silence), rare on-set Polaroid photos, and images of locations as they existed in 2008. Also included is a booklet featuring an essay by film critic Terrence Rafferty and a four-page graphic novel by Sean Phillips (Criminal, Sleeper, Marvel Zombies).

Filmemacherin Stalenhoef fand heraus, dass nicht allen Filmmitwirkenden bewusst ist, dass sie Teil einer Komödie sind. Ihr Dokumentarfilm zeigt, wie sich das Verhalten der Bewohner des rumänischen Dorfs Glot durch den Spielfilm verändert hat.
Carmen ist ein 17-jähriges Mädchen mit grossen Träumen. Sie möchte ihr armes Heimatdorf Glot verlassen und nach Spanien ziehen, um dort einen reichen Ehemann zu finden. Als die amerikanische Filmcrew nach Glot kommt und jedem, der sich filmen lässt, 3 € bezahlt, sind Carmen und die Dorfbewohner begeistert. Erst als sie den fertigen Film mit Untertiteln im Fernsehen sehen, begreifen die Mitwirkenden, dass “Borat” und die westliche Welt sich auf die Kosten der Dorfbewohner und ihre Lebensumstände amüsieren. Carmens Grossvater verlangt Vergeltung. Ein deutscher Anwalt verspricht, den Filmproduzenten zu verklagen. Sacha Baron Cohen gewinnt jedoch den Gerichtsstreit und die Dorfgemeinschaft steht erneut vor einer Enttäuschung.
Mercedes Stalenhoef arbeitete 3 Jahre lang an "Borat? Ein Dorf lacht nicht". Der internationale Erfolg von Borat führte dazu, dass sich der low-budget Film zu einer internationalen Kooperation entwickelte. BBC, IKON, YLE und SBS beteiligten sich an dem Film, der auf dem Dokumentarfilmfestival IDFA in Amsterdam Premiere feierte. (2009)
