Marylebone Memories + Regents Park.
First generation diesel multiple units at London Marylebone Station, before one of the trainsheds was removed. Only the high number platforms are being used, as the others are closed for refurbishment. Also listen to announcements. In addition to the trains this videoclip also shows the station concourse. At the end is a short sequence showing the Bakerloo Line Underground platforms (plus train, & pre-dot matrix 'next train' describers). When encoded this was assumed to be from Marylebone too, but onlter watching the final edit before uplifting was it realised that the UndergrounD views actually come from regents park station, which is a couple of stops along the line.

Marylebone Trees Bolsover Street Planting Endorsements
These interviews were taken after Alan Titchmarsh planted the last of 48 new trees on Bolsover Street on 1 April 2011.. He was joined by The Lord Mayor Locum Tenens, Councillor Harvey Marshall, who unveiled a ceremonial plaque for the occasion in front of many local volunteers and a gathering of well wishers. The Lord Mayor Locum Tenens, Councillor Harvey Marshall unveiled a commemorative plaque in honour of the event. The Initiative has benefitted from considerable support from all sides and has recently planted over 160 trees along Marylebone's streets during the last few months. The Bolsover Street planting phase has also played a part in the 'Ulmus Londinium' project, led by the Conservation Foundation -- to provide elm trees in the capital for future generations. Two new Elm trees have now been replanted on the street after an absence of over 150 years. Today's celebration also coincided with the launch of a similar initiative to plant trees in neighbouring Fitzrovia. This W1T Tree Planting Initiative aims to plant the right trees in the right places and hopefully soften the area's hard urban character across Westminster's borough border with Camden. A proposal to plant trees on a further 12 streets in Fitzrovia and Marylebone is currently being evaluated by Westminster City Council.

The London I Remember ~ Church Street, Marylebone, NW8 ~ Requiem For A Dream
This video is about The London I Remember....Church Street, Marylebone, London, NW8 and some of the surrounding areas. I grew up on the Church Street Housing Estate, Westminster and lived in the area for 30 years (1950 to 1980). A lot of the things I remember about this wonderful place have now long gone, however, thanks to the internet I have been able to find photo's of what Church Street was like when I was growing up. This is for our children, grandchildren and their children. If you want to see more from Church Street and the surrounding area visit Church St, St Marylebone, Westminster facebook Group at www.facebook.com I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed making it.

Harrow OT Hill Marylebone & Non-Stop Chesham Trains
Harrow On The Hill station in north London is served by the London Underground Metropolitain Line and mainline services out of London Marylebone station. This mid 1990's view shows a southbound evening peak hour working heading for Marylebone using platform 2 comprised of a first generation 'slam door' diesel multiple unit train, a northbound service for Chesham non-stopping this station using platform 3 plus more... The Chesham train was unable to use platform 1 because it needed to cut across the path of the Marylebone train, so to avoid delaying one of these trains it used an alternative routing and switched to the 'fast' tracks north of the station. By missing out this station the fast Chesham services featured a non-stop run of almost 20 minutes - woe betide any unsuspecting passenger who was on the wrong train! Nowadays Chesham trains call here too.
