Corinth, Greece
Tour of the ancient city of Corinth. St. Paul wrote two letters to the Corinthian Christians. Critics claimed Erastus was made up, but an inscription discovered at Corinth has Erastus engraved on it. The Temple of Aphrodite (the goddess of love) on the hill had over a 1000 prostitutes. The Bema or judgment seat is clearly seen with a whipping post in front. Gallio is mentioned in Delphi as ruling 51-52 AD. Paul stayed a year an a half in Corinth, where he wrote I Thessalonians. See Acts 18:1-17.

2 Timothy 4 (New International Version, ©2010) 2 Timothy 4 1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. 6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. Personal Remarks 9 Do your best to come to me quickly, 10 for Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in my ministry. 12 I sent Tychicus to Ephesus. 13 When you come ...

1127 2 Timothy 4 Chronological Bible (Paul's last writing before death)
Chronological Bible part 1127 1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. 12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. 13 The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments. 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much ...

2Tim 4.v1-22:Evil spirited people disperse the sheep.
2Tim. 4.v1-22: I charge thee therefore before God, inhonour of our Brother Christ Jesus and not the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his Royal Kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers of the letters, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. They will read the Bible like a novel without understanding. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. That is, Paul predicted his death to be nigh. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which our Father God and not the Lord Yahweh of the Jews, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Read the Bible - Romans, Chapter 2.
The Apostle Paul is identified as the author of Romans in 1:1. Strangely, even with such evidence, Paul's authorship has been challenged, but never convincingly. Paul wrote Romans shortly before his visit to Jerusalem with the gift from the Gentile congregations. (15:25 & Acts 24:17) Internal indications suggesting that at this time he was a resident of Corinth include the reference to Phoebe, a member of the church at Cenchreae, the port of Corinth. (16:1-2), the reference as Gaius as his host (1 Corinthians 1:14), and to Erastus (Acts 19:22 & 2 Timothy 4:20). The time of writing was probably during his three months in Greece described in Acts 20:2-3. While it is not possible to fix a date, it is known that Gallio, before whom Paul appeared in Acts 18:12, was proconsul (normally a one year appointment) in Achaia in AD 52. Romans is Paul's fullest, grandest, most comprehensive statement of the gospel. It's compressed declarations of vast truths are like coiled springs - once loosed, the leap through the mind and heart to fill one's horizon and shape one's life. Chrysostom, the fifth century's greatest preacher, had Romans read aloud once a week. Augustine, Luther and Wesley, three supremely significant contributors to the Christian heritage, all came to assured faith through the impact of Romans. All the reformers saw Romans as the God-given key to understanding all Scripture, since here Paul brings together all the Bible's greatest themes - sin, law, judgment, human ...
