Myth and reality about the early Christianity part-1/6
was jesus really born in 25 th december? From Vision Media Productions. The story of Jesus and His followers is clouded in misunderstanding. It's a story often told, but rarely as the Bible tells it. Travel with Dr. David Hulme, publisher of Vision.org and Middle East scholar, through the inspiring and beautiful Holy Land as he separates myth and truth about early Christianity. ** Note: The explanation of hadith regarding the war between Jews and Muslims at the end of time can be found here: www.questionsonislam.com

Islamic Trajectories in Early Christianity by Dr Jerald Dirks
Were Early Christians Trinitarians? Is the Trinity really an ancient pagan belief? Is Jesus God? Did Jesus ever claim to be God? Dr. Jerald Dirks received his Bachelor of Arts (philosophy) from Harvard College in 1971, his Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School in 1974, his Master of Arts (clinical child psychology) from the University of Denver in 1976, his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in clinical psychology from the University of Denver in 1978, and his sessions program certificate in Islamic studies from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in 1998. In 1969, he obtained his License to Preach from the United Methodist Church and was ordained into the Christian ministry (deaconate) by the United Methodist Church in 1972. He converted to Islam in 1993 and completed the 'Umrah and Hajj in 1999. His vocational history includes over five years teaching in American colleges and universities and over 20 years spent in the private practice of psychotherapy. In addition, he has taught at the middle school level at two different private Islamic schools and has served as the psychoeducational consultant at one private Islamic school. Dr. Dirks is the author or co-author of over 60 published articles in the behavioral sciences (primarily in psychosomatic medicine), over 140 published articles on the Arabian horse and its history, and over 220 published articles or formal presentations on Islam, comparative religion, and private Islamic education in America. From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians (01:48:00)
PBS FRONTLINE — From Jesus to Christ : The First Christians (Part 1) Explore the life of Jesus and the movement he started, by challenging familiar assumptions and conventional notions about Christianity's origins. FRONTLINE draws upon controversial new historical evidence and interviews with New Testament scholars to trace Jesus' life. The film focuses on events after his death and on his first followers, men and women whose beliefs, conviction, and martyrdom transformed the Roman Empire in just 300 years. HOUR ONE examines how Judaism and the Roman empire shaped Jesus' life. Jesus was an ordinary Jewish resident of his time, but new archaeological findings show that Jesus was probably not the humble village peasant often portrayed. Nazareth, where he grew up, was about four miles from the cosmopolitan urban center of Sepphoris, one of the Roman provincial cities. While Rome defined one dimension of Jesus' world, the other was symbolized by the great Temple in Jerusalem. Jesus was born, lived, and died a Jew, and he was influenced by the diversity and tensions of Judaism at that time. Jesus was most likely arrested and executed by Roman authorities whose principal concern was to keep peace in the empire Rome had little tolerance for those it judged disruptive of the Pax Romana, (Roman peace) punishing them in many ways, including crucifixion. The death of Jesus was a Roman act; there was little if any notice taken by Jewish people. Jesus was another victim of the Pax ...

Here is a consensus of what four or more writers said, and none contradicted, prior to 325 AD : The Bible - B1. Study or obey God's Word as an authority, B2. Early Christians Prayer
Here are the basic words of Islamic prayer, mostly from the first chapter of the Quran with Biblical references which show similar expressions. Allahu akbar! The Lord be magnified! (Ps.35:27; 48:1; 147:5). I begin in the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (Ps.148:8). All praise is God's (Ps.9:1) Lord of the Worlds (Ps.90:2; 10:16). The Beneficent, the Merciful (Ps.25:6). The Master of the Day of Judgement (Ps.50:6). Thee alone do we worship, of Thee alone do we seek help (Ps.30:8). Guide us on the right path (Ps.27:11; 25:4). The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed Thy bounties (Ps.31:19). Not the path of those on whom fell Thy wrath nor of those gone astray (Ps.28:3). Glory to God in the highest and praise to Him! (Luke 2:14).

Among the most famous of these catacombs are the catacombs of Domatilla, San Callisto, and Sts. Marcellinus and Peter. Other early examples of Roman Christian art can be found in Roman sarcophagi, several of which are now housed in the Vatican.
