I can't save you
I can't believe you
I am the ground where you will lie
I am the wind wher you will fly
We've lost in a place
Where time is holding a sick, sick pace
We're starting to rust
when it is all over
We all turn back to dust
Try to see your way son
Try to clear your vision
I am the ground where you will lie
I am the wind where you will fly
We're lost in a place
Where a child is holding a sick, sick face
We're starting to rust
I just lost my best friend
I miss you so much I wish my life would end
I cannot get up from down here
I cried until dust appeared
I'm trying to let go
But it hurts like I've never been hurt before
And it feels like I'll never smile again
I cannot sleep without you there
All I wanted was to be with you everywhere
Let me quietly fade away
The best part of me left today
I'm trying to let go
But it hurts like I've never been hurt before
And it feels like I'll never smile again
I vex my heart with fancies dim:
He still outstript me in the race;
It was but unity of place
That made me dream I ranked with him.
And so May place retain us still,
And he the much-beloved again,
A lord of large experience, train
To riper growth the mind and will:
And what delights can equal those
That stir the spirits inner deeps,
When one that loves but knows not, reaps
A truth from one that loves and
knows?
[Alfred Lord Tennyson]
I once wrote a book about two men
They went round the world and back again
One was Julian - one was me
Such a passion to be free
We watched UFOs from southern shores
back in 65 - or 64
This is memory; these are dreams
Only he knows what I mean
Everything returns to dust
And it all gets blown away
And we all get born again to live another day
And the dust gets blown away
I like counting stars on frosty nights
One million years go by to see that light
I dream of broken wings - I dream of dust
we are gold and we are dust
It's a shame to count the days - so many days
It's a shame to count the days - so many days
Everything returns to dust
And it all gets blown away
And we all get born again to live another day
As the smoke settles in the middle east
USA with no intention to make peace
keeping Americas public in dark
just feeding them with reasons to light the spark of hate
the tradition goes way back, to the first capitalistic attack
an area that for the last 200 years has shown a great example
of our system to fear
Unprovoked Iraqi actions
where just a threat to OPEC's intentions
economical wars in the sign of democracy, shows political agendas of hypocrisy
bush administration oil conventions, time again for the bell of information
Cause the media didn't have the right to cover, the civilians killed
and our own losses
playing world police to withhold, the integrity of the American dream
Time tears a hole in existence to languish supinely in torture see the essence of life in shafts of light and
shade remnants gathered by trembling hands are now scattered across the world to form lifeless clouds of dust
that bind my failing limbs
Seamless visions and blurred moments hold my hands with chains of sand daylights breath as cold as razors cut
my insides and leave me bleeding a wish for deepening darkness to hide me from all the pain and misery falls
dead
Shards of broken light scar me so deep that i darken my eyes to the world and light (is life but foreplay to a
death we fear with each passing breath?)
Perpetual motionless time has numbed all senses that i once held dear the walls drip with moisture in this
lonely shell i slip away so none can see into the inknown where all stands still in a moment of death
Time tears a hole in existence through shafts of light and shade trembling hands scatter my life dust into a
perfect death
The door slams, dust falls down between the cracks
Some ran, some promised they'd be back
Saigon all gone, ashes to dust, a solo dance, a solo dance
Chorus:
And when we leave, we leave our dust, we slap our clothes, we shake it off
Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam
Out of the dust reach tiny hands to touch their fathers in other lands
Love is locked in these lost eyes, love is lost in these cold eyes
And in these wounds too raw to touch, lie ashes ashes, dust to dust
(chorus)
We are free, we are not alone, listen to our sound
Take these hands of flesh and bone, reaching out for love
Discards settle where they must, never knowing who to trust
And in these dreams that lie in rust, ashes ashes, dust to dust
(chorus)
We are free, we are free
[Instrumental]
and at the other end of life you’ll sit beside yourself,
was there ever someone else?
purposeful thinking?
how long will you spend dreaming,
with your hours on the leave?
it’s what becomes of us
when we live because we must
then we settle with the dust
breathe in words and save time
open minds and close eyes
and at the other end of life i’ll sit beside myself,
and “was there ever someone else?”
purposeful thinking
it’s long that i’ve been dreaming,
with my hours on the leave
what became of us?
have i lived because i must?
will i settle with the dust?
oh i’ll
breathe in words and save time
It's 2 a.m. in Town Hall Station
Black walls and sleeping drunks
Are bad companions
Ice is there, fear is there
Everyone is nowhere, there's too much of nothing
Take me away
It' 9 a.m. in Town Hall Station
Flashing faces and gray herds no comparison
So sorry, so straight
Everyone is nowhere, there's too much of nothing
Take me away
It's been a long night and it's cold there, outside
As I watch the break of day
It's starting to rain like the sky is crying in pain for me
I hear the sound of people running around
Life is there, beyond the door
I was with them, I know, just a few days ago but it's over
Dust in the wind
There is nothing lasting long
One thing must pass, the other's born
Dust in the wind
There is nothing left behind
All that we are's dust in the wind
Many were there, for my wounds they have cared
As I was lying on the ground
I wish I'd have made some friends
but now it's too late, I'm alone
Dust in the wind
There is nothing lasting long
One thing must pass, the other's born
Dust in the wind
There is nothing left behind
All that we are's dust in the wind
This is the end, brother give me your hand
I'm afraid to let it go
Noone's to blame if they forget
who's the name on my gravestone
Dust in the wind
There is nothing lasting long
One thing must pass, the other's born
Dust, only dust
There is nothing left behind
All that we are's dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
There is nothing left behind
The sound of the earthquake,
The rhythms that you make,
Are makin' my head shake in two.
Magnitized by you
Your love will pull me through
You pull through earth and stone,
You pull through flesh and bones
The sounds of the earthquake
The movements that you make
Are shakin' my head right in two
You know I was never leaving
In each other, we're believin'
Lust will never catch us grieving
Along the way we command it to stay
Everytime our fate is taken
All around the ground is breakin'
We're safe!
it's the love we're makin'
It won't fly apart from the beat of our heart
Like the ground and the sound of the earthquake,
And the rhythms that you make,
You're makin' it shakes my head in two
Rivers, waves they burst and pull
The pilot's ways beneath our oars
Canyons, mountain we just swore
We keep our cool inside heart
Through the massive walls that hit us
All this power will never quit us
No result can ever split us in two
The sound of the earthquake,
The exchanges that we make,
are takin' my head right in two
Mmmmmmmmmhmmmmmm!
The sounds!
You know I was never leaving
In each other, we're believin'
Lust will never catch us grieving
Along the way we command it to stay.
Everytime our fate is taken
All around the ground is breakin'
We're safe! in the love we're makin'
It won't fly apart from the beat of our heart
Like the ground and the sound of the earthquake,
and the rhythms that you make,
You're makin' it shakes my head in two
Magnitized by you
Your love will pull me through
You pull through earth and stone,
You pull through flesh and bones
The sounds of the earthquake
And the rhythms that you make,
Are shakin' my head right in two
Right in two
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmhmmmm!
The sounds of...
Yeah!
It'S Just Another Day
Another Episode
Of Hiding Under The World
It'S Just Another Ray
Of Merciful Hope
I Don'T Expect Many More
I'M Already Insane
I'M Already In Pain
And If This Time
You Don'T Rescue Me
I Won'T Blame You At All
Cause You See
I Know That I'Ve Gone
In Too Deep
For You To Risk A Fall
I'M Already Insane(Yes I Am)
I'M Already In Pain (Oh Yes Oh Yes Oh Yes)
I'M Already Insane
[Chorus]
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
Never Thought That
I Would Be The One With The Winning Hand
So You See
It'S No Blow To My Sophistication
That I'Ve Gone Crazy Again
I'M Already Insane(Yes I Am)
I'M Already In Pain(Oh Yes Oh Yes Oh Yes)
I'M Already Insane
[Chorus]
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I'M Already Insane(Insaane Baby)
Already In So Much Pain
Already Insane(Baby)
Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh
[Chorus]
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I Am Dust Blown Away Over The Edge
I'M Already Insane
I'M Already In Pain
Blades of grass
That shiver as I pass
The world's asleep but I'm awake
I'm walking home home again
Morning stars
Left my shoes back at the bar
Didn't know my house was quite so far,
So far from anywhere
Strange how the ground
Seems up-side down
And morning - it starts without me
Did I let you down?
Should I come around?
Would that make things better baby?
You and I
We get along just fine
But oh, we both want to be right
It's just not possible
Change your mind
Or maybe I'll change mine
But either way we won't arrive
At something plausible
I'll see you 'round
When you're in town
And you can pretend to hate me
All trace of love
Has turned to dust
When the white flame in us is gone
And we that lost the world's delight
Stiffen in darkness.
Left alone
To crumble in our separate light
When your swift hair is quiet in death
And through the lips corruption thrust to still the labor of my breath
When we are dust, when we are dust
When we are dust, when we are dust
When your swift hair is quiet in death
And through the lips corruption thrust to still the labor of my breath
When we are dust, when we are dust
When we are dust, when we are dust
When the white flame in us is gone
And we that lost the world's delight
Stiffen in darkness
Left alone
To crumble in our separate light
When your swift hair is quiet in death
And through the lips corruption thrust to still the labor of my breath
When we are dust, when we are dust
When we are dust, when we are dust
When people stare at the scene like a machine of the team
looking for theme between cracks searching for cream
physical image can never be lost

material whenever your ready your steady rolling with deadly and friendly

Cypress Hill Soul Assasins we smokin 420 all day
we ain't joking serve it up oh yes and the hard stuff
excess of the zes make it sound right beat it up all you want it's a damn
Blood, want to wash away
Got to heat this love
As she breaks
Dust
We fade the scene
Gotta reason in peace Now explain
Feelings go on and on
The killing is all in my name
The rhythm of life is all too strong
To get back
Come down
Riding on a train
In this swirling pool
of blood and brains
Well that's fate
My mind is made
so you´ve come to the end of nothing
sittin´, satrin´, bleedin´, blind
dust is covering your eyes
and your sun is going down
black-thin line through all the years
makes you feel like a men who wants to believe
in our dreams we´ve chased the sun & paid the price
there´s no place left for us in poised paradise
tryin´to find what takes your breath
without fear only we can fly
if you hold your promise before i die
and world- your world is closed inside
your dust filled my veins
we´re shamans on our own graves
when blue tears are falling
we all be running out of flames
my tired eyes must learn to stare
and the dark cold rain brings me back for life again
when the blue tears are falling
we all be burning out of flames
tryin´to find what takes your breath
without fear only we can fly
if you hold your promise before i die
and world- your world is closed inside
tryin´..............
tryin´..............
tryin´..............
Blades of grass
That shiver as I pass
The worlds asleep but I'm awake
I'm walking home again
Morning stars
Left my shoes back at the bar
Didn't know my house was quite this far
So far from anywhere
Strange how the ground
Tips upside down
And morning it starts without me
Did I let you down
Should I come around
Would that make things better baby
You and I
We get along just fine
But oh we both love to be right
Its just not possible
Change your mind or maybe I'll change mine
But either way we don't arrive at something
Plausible
I'll see ya round when you're in town
And you can pretend to hate me
All trace of love
Has turned to dust
Which I've been collecting lately
My heart never given
So impure
So true
Wearing a smile
I've lost my way
Seeking sacred love in this suicide trance
Free me from my anger
Where have the angels gone?
Close to my heart
And you watch as my tears fall like the rain
Leave me here to bleed
The tears are so pure
How did my life become so obscure?
But no one hears my cries
And it's now dust
If only dust could talk
What would we hear it say?
Before it's brushed aside
Just as it's swept away
It's just the evidence
It's of no consequence
It's only flesh and bone
Why don't we leave it alone?
If only dust could gather into lines of chalk
Around a silhouette detective fiction walks
For it's the only witness that can testify
Can I spit out the truth?
Or would you rather just swallow a lie?
Why did they dam the land?
How did they flood the plain?
Did they erase the name?
And wipe away the stain
You kept your mouth well shut
Appeared to turn your coat
Now there's a name for you but it's stuck in my throat
If dust could only mutter
Or in laughter trill
If it could warn and whisper from the windowsill
But it's the only witness that can testify
Can I split out the truth?
Or would you rather just swallow a lie?
Here comes the juggernaut
Here come The Poisoners
They choke the life and land
And rob the joy from us
Why do they taste of sugar?
Oh, when they're made of money
Here come the Lamb of God
And the butcher's boy, sonny
If dust could only gather in the needle track
Then it would skip a beat and it would jump right back
If dust could only gather in a needle track
Then it would skip a beat
So go on and tear it up
Black and cold with the dust
'Cause I believed in the Lord
But He don't show up anymore
If you can't trust the wind who can you trust?
If you can't love sin, who can you love?
If I begin will you let me finish up?
If I fell down would you pick me up?
If I don't drink from a silver cup like you
Would you say, "So long, farewell, good luck"?
So go on, tear it up
Black and cold with the dust
'Cause I believed in the Lord
But He don't show up anymore
If a man can't lie how can he speak?
If the sun don't rise would the moon be out of reach?
If I came home would you get down on your knees?
So go on, tear it up
Black and cold with the dust
'Cause I believed in the Lord
But He don't show up anymore
'Cause I believed in the Lord
'Cause I believed in the Lord
'Cause I believed in the Lord
He don't show up, He don't show up anymore
Time they call the universal healer
But you're back every three days, settling all around me
A feather duster's no substitute for the real thing
And the dust you left behind is settling still
With you dawn never tasted so good
Swept up like debris on a Saturday night, did we ever have fun?
The dust, the gentle legacy You left behind
Is falling softly on my mind
Dust, the timeless memory of you
I love you, I do for all the little things you do
And I guess I always will
The dust settles again to remind me still
Of a memories I've cherished so long
Hold me close to your side
'Cause my love won't decay anymore
Memories of hope of those long summer days
And the dust you left behind is settling still
With you dawn never tasted so good
Swept up like debris on a Saturday night, did we ever have fun?
And the dust, the gentle legacy, You left behind
Is falling softly on my mind
Dust, the timeless memory of you
I love you, I do for all the little things you do
And I guess I always will
The dust settles again to remind me still
Of a memories I've cherished so long
Feeling your body stretched so long
What was it, went so wrong?
That our love, our love it was gone, oh it was gone
But our friendship going strong, gone strong, so much strong, oh
Going strong, going strong, oh
Feeling your body stretched so long, stretched so long
What was it, went so wrong, went wrong
That our love, that our love it was gone, gone, gone, gone
But our friendship going strong, gone strong
All the little things I've done
Will cease to exist when I'm nothing
Tears that fell things I've made will degrade
When the sun shines
All the thoughts I've thought will slip away
Others might perceive them in another way
What I'm trying to say is
Let me put it in another way for you
I don't want to be dust
I don't want to be dirt on the ground
Some things last forever
I want to stay around
All the breaths I took
The kinds that shook the earth don't last
Beyond the earth
Thousands may pray
But in the end we'll all go away
Like birds that fly before they die
And stars that shine before they fry
And when I look into the sky
I'm high
Higher than a baby's cry
Or its lullaby
Once inside I took the kind of look
That opens up your mind to pray
I mean it when I say
All that will remain of us,
Are a thousand voices floating in the atmosphere,
Shadows falling in the dust,
And I hear your voice singled out and I want to say,
You and I will never die,
So don't think about all the space in-between us,
Get that rubbish off your mind,
And how many times can I tell you I love you?
You never believed in yourself,
You're living life upon a shelf,
And now that the city's burning,
You're radioing in,
I'm radioing out,
Come-in anyone,
Is there anyone around?
All I want to say,
What's it all about?
Radioing in,
I'm radioing out...
Walking down a corridor,
And I hear the sound of conversations through these
walls,
Feeling like a lonely soul,
As the ghosts in the shadows sing-along with the radio,
You and I will never die,
And as the sun's streaming in through the windows from
the streets outside,
Come on baby it's alright,
And how many times can I tell you I love you, singing
You never believed in yourself,
You're living life upon a shelf,
And now that the city's burning,
You're radioing in,
I'm radioing out,
Come-in anyone,
Is there anyone around?
All I want to say,
What's it all about?
Radioing in,
I'm radioing out...
I'm radioing out...
I'm radioing out...
I'm radioing out...
I'm radioing out...
All that will remain of us,
Are a thousand voices floating in the atmosphere,
Shadows falling in the dust,
Sometimes you dream, sometimes it seems
There's nothing there at all
You just seem older than yesterday
And you're waiting for tomorrow to call
You draw to the curtain and one thing's for certain
You're cozy in your little room
The carpet's all paid for God bless the TV
Let's go shoot a hole in the moon
And Roy Rogers is riding tonight
Returning to our silver screens
Comic book characters never grow old
Evergreen heroes whose stories were told
Oh the great sequin cowboy who sings of the plains
Of roundups and rustlers and home on the range
Turn on the TV, shut out the lights Roy Rogers is riding tonight
Nine o'clock mornings, five o'clock evenings
I'd liven the pace if I could
Oh I'd rather have a ham in my sandwich than cheese
But complaining wouldn't do any good
Lay back in my armchair, close eyes and think clear
I can hear hoof beats ahead
Roy and Trigger have just hit the hilltop
While the wife and the kids are in bed
And Roy Rogers is riding tonight
Returning to our silver screens
Comic book characters never grow old
Evergreen heroes whose stories were told
Oh the great sequin cowboy who sings of the plains
Of roundups and rustlers and home on the range
Hold me down
Struggled with the feeling, yeah
You're gonna open me up
And I can't stop the bleeding, no
Something in you, oh
Burned by all the fools that passed trough my life,
Scared by the scene that's gonna across my eyes,
Drown in the pain i can't araise,
But I want you, I need you, I can't live without you
babe,
So I gonna run, close my eyes
Let the pain by leave behind me burn to dust
Yeah, I'm gona run, trough the fire
And no way to find me trough the dust (dust, dust)
Slow me down
Encarvy all the pieces, yeah
I don't want to be fooled down
But too much competition, oh, oh, hey, oh yeah
I'm trying to be
Cool with my position, oh
I just don't want to be fooling myself yeah
I've meant to be to change oh, oh, oh yeah yeah
Burned by all the dues I had to pay last time
Scared by the truth I had to realize,
Scared by all the life I have to face
But I want you, I need you, I can't live without you
babe
So I gonna run, close my eyes
Let the pain by leave behind me burn to dust,
Yah, I'm gona run, trough the fire
And nobody's gonna find me trough the dust (dust, dust)
(solo)
Burned by all the fools that let me down last time
Scared by all the things that made em feel all right
Crawling in the pain I can't araise
But i want you, I need you, I can't live without you
babe
So I gonna run, close my eyes
Let the pain by leave behind me burn to dust
Yah, I'm gona run, trough the fire
And no way to find me trough the dust
Yeah, I gonna run, close my eyes
Let the pain by leave behind me burn to dust
Oh, I'm gona run, trough the fire
And ain't no way to catch me trough the dust (dust,
So lead me to the river
Blood runs thicker than the water
Wrap me in your sheets together
Where my earth heart lies forever
The Lowland Scot with English habits
Has brought me to his lowland manners
No they can't understand
The hole that is in my heart
I've lived my life here with the others
I long to live with you my brothers
And my drum will beat this day
Pounding for the Gael
An end to sighs, all hands unite
In the spring that lies behind this sorrow
Deep the faith and pure the light
That shines inside and guides your people
Oh I do believe
Dust will turn the seed
You rise.
You lift the weight from off your head.
Amazed, I'm stunned to see the sun.
We're almost there.
You look me square in the eyes and I can't tell if its you.
Is it in you to free the hope you've tied?
Its crazy, I swear the sun had died.
Ever since the day I was born I filled the void by crawling in arms.
I think he swore to never let me go.
And just because you run from the norm
I think he's saying, "Don't be alarmed."
You'll grow your hair long and swear that you can see.
We'll see.
Alas, you hear a whisper after you're gone. (Are we still safe?)
I try to tear this wall down. (We build it back up again.)
Has Heaven dared to pull me out of the corners that I've crept into?
Is it in you to free the hope you've tied?
Its crazy, I swear the sun had died.
Ever since the day I was born I filled the void by crawling in arms.
I think he swore to never let me go.
And just because you run from the norm
I think he's saying, "Don't be alarmed."
You'll grow your hair long and swear that you can see.
Ever since the day I was born I filled the void by crawling in arms.
I think he swore to never let me go.
And just because you run from the norm
I think he's saying, "Don't be alarmed."
You'll grow your hair long and swear that you can see.
Can I get them word's outta you,
you were talking about the accomplishment
of returning to the accompliceness of earth and man, a
shaman.
The daemon of constant creation is bringing in the
nation of nature
with imagination, hit, through nurture I found it, I
am it.
Forever I will fly for the lives of the infinite minds
despised,
that were taken from the ones that fly high with I,
High, good High, I.
I am like them a mind with a spirit that inhabits us,
too right, were we to feel as it inside we'd not die,
weed not die.
Fierce are the dreams that awake, uplift take the mind
weight.
From body weight to travel lightly on high terrain.
Main are the millions of mountain peaks,
that marry the valley deeps and carry the trees that
release seeds,
and these stretch to the sun and then breathe up a
dream state.
We follow these and wait. We follow these and wait.
Well they shall love it and they shall leave it let
dream be their destiny.
The ground that they step is the ground that they be.
They live as dust and grow as dust and dust is what
they be.
They're living off and dying on their own mentality.
Circling past passed the man had lost the mask, the
glass had shattered.
Now travelling negative acts he had lost the nerve to
act untrue.
Bothering news hard to choose the truth through and
illusion grew, disillusion kneeled that man, making
him think he'd understand it.
So It came to him that night, that the past is past
and the future's future.
One's made up and one's to make up, going from now to
then awakened.
Hey but if that ain't happened what has?
Who are these people wearing masks?
They terribly look like monsters, they terribly look
like...
Fierce are the dreams that awake, uplift take the mind
weight.
From body weight to travel lightly on high terrain.
Main are the millions of mountain peaks, that marry
the valley deeps
and carry the trees that release seeds, and these
stretch to the sun
and then breathe up a dream state.
We follow these and wait. We follow these and wait.
Well they shall love it and they shall leave it let
dream be their destiny.
The ground that they step is the ground that they be.
They live as dust and grow as dust and dust is what
they be.
They're living off and dying on their own mentality.
If each world is a place and each place is a world
then where does that leave he.
In a place in the ground in a group with they like
In a group with they like he, he will share his
energy.
With the ones that are born to the kind that he be.
Shadows of deeds reflect upon, a filter prong,
that pokes and provokes on and on like bong hits,
sacred or sacrilegious and naked in this.
Fears appear as daemons in dream world,
sins appear as evil in this world,
daemons gang as packs in evil clans
and rise within to battle man and
fight for this world with might for this world is
Some of the chances we take,
To make the money we make.
Manufacturing disease
The creature we can see
I'm pleased it some other day
And I've got something to say
You don't need love
So get under the rock
Now, I have a mutated brain
It is the form that's been made
You got for broke
With your prog rock show
Don't you know what I mean?
The sick things that I've seen
When you don't fall down
There's a piercing sound
It was the sky that we learned
That we're to spy on the bird
The clouds all feel
Where we don't feel real
It was implied to make a caption
"It's a pain world", is her reaction
We've answered why it's not been action
we blow the ghosts, is this our faction
This was the movie we made
And we were shooting to fate
We gather dust when you said it's a must
And in the end that we shake
It is the function that's fake
We don't feel real
You don't know how it feels
Now, we've given up a lot
And we've gone right past the spot
We're fueled inside
It's the must that we hide
It was implied to make a caption
"It's a pain world", is her reaction
We've answered why it's not been action
We blow the ghosts, is this our faction
Now, I have a mutated brain
It is the form that's been made
You got for broke
With your prog rock show
It was implied to make a caption
"It's a pain world", is her reaction
We've answered why it's not been action
We blow the ghosts, is this our faction
Listen to words devoid of meaning
To sounds that long for feeling
To wicked eloquence
Hold on the world keeps spinning
Hold on the earth keeps shifting under us
Guiding our decent
And with every breath
Our moments fade away
Hoping to shine again someday
Tonight it's over
As we try so hard not to feel
Midnight surrounds us
As we drift so far from what is real
Dust to dust
Enter a dream world bathed in silence
Of rituals and violence
Unfilled desire
Hold on your senses reeling
Hold on to fantasies unyielding
With secrets deep inside
And with every move
Our chances fade away
Never to see the light of day
Tonight it's over
As we try so hard not to feel
Midnight surrounds us
As we drift so far from what is real
Dust to dust
We lie awake on fallen leaves
As earthworms gather for their feast
We pray the Lord our soul to keep
In dark night shadows we will weep
We're on our way
We're on our way
(2x)
Tonight it's over
As we try so hard not to feel
Midnight surrounds us
As we drift so far from what is real
Tank full primed pinned saves bleed up
Tangled torn assimilate another care of apathy
Dig another well of therapy
Mined cut dirt dug from the ground beneath u
Sink teeth try u turn coming down syndrome
Spray scratch pine, and bring it down into haste
Strive on consistency, why wait, holding a cup of thirst
Lasting thoughts insane tasting insists adding sprinkles
Of salt to the pain.
Coming down syndrome all fate lies in wait
To pin you down excavate
Rife mediocrity
Lactate, cold inner emptiness
Inspire? substitutes, dialate, instant fried
Inside decay dependents day banal the fruit ferment the
Flesh
The memories I can't recall depend the trend for warts n' all
A path direct to self neglect, to compensate correct in hate
Polluted crushed impatient scud, diluted vibrant pissing in
It's
Blood
Come to kill yourself.
Apocalypse lights set way
Theocratic lessons...insight??
Blind, stray
Lessons sold
Sought like gold
Laughing nihilist, burns away
Bleed thru
Chastities not my enemy, it's you
I watch the sign of love as you surrender
I wipe the last tears from your eyes
It seems we're all forgiven
It seems there's no return
People are deaf and blind
We aren't looking for salvation
Dust
The skies are grey and the ground is frozen
The walls are black and won't do you harm
It's burning through your skin
Your wounded, precious skin
And People are deaf and blind
See the stranger as he cries
We're all lost, We're going down
Death is close, a warning sound
Dust
Obsessions in my brain
Standing by a cross
We aren't looking for salvation
Dust
We're all forgiven
By God
A hand, for you, rip it all apart
I played with your heart
Dust
I've tried believin' even tried cheatin' myself
of almost everything just to fashion reason out of what
must have been nothin' at all
Now I can't when exactly I saw through the darkness and into the light
Fantastic as it was it was cool and bright
Like on a steely night of shadows
Still far from home
When I came round
I saw myself on a merry go round
With my heart on the ground
And there I see
The rains coming down to wash away the dream we found
Lyin' there for all to see in the dust of memories
Where the rain beats down to wash away the dream we found
Now there's nothing left for me
But you can set me free
I won't believe ya neither deceive ya when you say we gotta carry on
'Cos I know the dream is over
The one we shared so long...too long
When we could have been getting on just being friends
And not holding on to the past
Which is just sand
I guess we try to belong
'Cos we have to be strong just to get it done
But I was on the ground most of the time
On a merry go round looking up but going down
And there I see the rains comin' down to wash away the dream we found
Lyin' there for all to see in the dust of memories
Where the rain beats down to wash away the dream we found
Now there's nothing left for me
Can you see? The rain beat down, rain come down
But what can we do with a thing like you
A heart with a hard on for ignorance
A child of fools where nothing rings true
In a myth that's cruel, where I see the cross
You see the nail, where you see the mytsery I see the failure
And it's bringing me down, I'm just a clown
On a merry go round looking up but going down
And there I see the rains comin' down to wash away the dream we found
Lyin' there for all to see in the dust of memories
Where the rain beats down to wash away the dream we found
A spider fingered vice all sugar and spice
Runnin' down my face feelin' like black rain
Clawin' under my skin and running through my veins
Like a poison I must suck just to change my luck
Where the rain beats down to wash away the dream we found
Rain beat down...down...rain beat down
Down Down Down Down Down Yeah
And now I'm close as I should be
To going under
I'm diving into shallow ground
Afraid you're never coming back
To hold me up from
This single memory of us
Still thinking we were here
Back into dust as we were, as we are
Into the vapor horizon too far
To go
To go
The canvas paints beyond itself
And very dangerous
With my imagination now
If I invented every time
That we were morphing
Into a meaning that was way too much
For me to know
Back into dust as we were, as we are
Into the vapor horizon too far
We are a strange star, a cosmo
It's you
And me
And us
Ooh we were so perfect in my mind
Ooh it was a major calling
Ooh the falling out of space and empty time
Ooh it was a pillar falling hard
Back into dust as we were, as we are
Into the vapor horizon too far
We are a strange star, a cosmo
It's you
And me
And us
And us
[The Phanatik]
Who am I? Just a bag of dust puttin' trust in the Most High
Why boast? I know that I'm nothin'
Huffin' and puffin' someone else's air through my lungs
'Cause everything belongs to the Son
That was hung up on the Cross
Strung up for the lost
Ya'll know they slayed Him
He rose from the grave, came to save, though they played Him
Some hate Him, mocked Him, to the ground His blood spilled
To this day they be dockin' the things that got Him killed
Shrilled and screamed knowing He'd redeem half the planet
How could He stand in knowing He'd be taken for granted
Disadvantaged became dust just like you and me
Human beings just so He can put His deed at calvary
Now how do we say thanks, better yet check how could He take it
Despising all the shame being plain in sight-naked
Crowned with thorns scorned by the unrighteous judges
The King's arms expands shook hands with death's clutches
Seal the deal kill one for all called it grace
Meaning the Supreme Being would die in our place
He was rich and became poor so that we through His poverty
Could become rich hit the lottery
Pottery is all I am in the hands of the maker
Just a custom of dust and plus the salt from the shaker
Meek and lowly Jesus preach we be holy
I gotta give the props to the potter who molds me
'Cause dust...
[Chorus]
Dust is all I am that's what I come from. Taken from the dust
Dust is what I am that's what I come from. You and me from the dust
Dust is all I am that's what I come from. God breathed from the dust
Dust is all I am that's what I come from. True indeed from the dust
Dust is all I am that's what I come from. It's you and me from the dust
Dust is all I am that's what I come from. Would you believe from the dust
Dust is what I am that's what I come from. Every human being from the dust
Dust is all I am that's what I come from

I can't lose I refuse to choose death over life
I was done in then had a run in with Christ
Now I'm freed what made Him bleed and cling to a tree
And get nailed to the form of a lower case t?
No beatin' around the bush the Rose of Sharon got crowned with thorns
And was risen up on a third day morn
Now it's on, for anyone who's got the time of day
Let Him change ya act and ya scene just like a drama play
I'ma say it once, twice, even a thousand times
Every day of the year Jesus Christ be my valentine
Who's standin' on faulty ground?
If you ain't down then be salty now
(Tell me) What do you see when you close your eyes?
What do you see when your life goes by?
Question for your next session with your cypha'
Eternal lifa' who's God bring's it hypa'
Is it the God who spoke that spark this?
Reached into the abyss with His fist and pulled light out of darkness
Mark this day and walk this way
You want eternal life (well) then you ain't got no cost to pay (why?)
'Cause Christ paid it all when His blood flooded the streets
In the 199's with the ruggedest beats
We gets biz like show
So 'ey G. act like ya know
Tell me yo what made Him pay the debt that you owe
Was it love? Unlike this world has ever seen before
Born I guess on the flesh that was torn
Mourn for the Bright and the Morning Star who died for you
'Father forgive them for they know not what they do' (ooh true)
You're missin' His touch I tell ya this much
He thirsted, cursed it, vinegar upon some hyssop
Now there's ever livin' water come place ya order
I'll pour out my spirit upon your sons and your daughters
Before the times up come line up by the creek
And bathe in the blood of the lamb as it leaks
God speaks to dust and it becomes man
Then He breathes on us and we become dust again
'Cause Dust
[Chorus]

Dust consists of particles in the atmosphere that come from various sources such as soil dust lifted by wind (an Aeolian process), volcanic eruptions, and pollution. Dust in homes, offices, and other human environments contains small amounts of plant pollen, human and animal hairs, textile fibers, paper fibers, minerals from outdoor soil, human skin cells, burnt meteorite particles and many other materials which may be found in the local environment.[1]

Dust may worsen hay fever. Circulating outdoor air through a house by keeping doors and windows open, or at least slightly ajar, may reduce the risk of hay fever-causing dust. In colder climates, occupants seal even the smallest air gaps, and eliminate outside fresh air circulating inside the house. So it is essential to manage dust and airflow.
House dust mites are ubiquitous everywhere humans live indoors. Positive tests for dust mite allergies are extremely common among people with asthma. Dust mites are microscopic arachnids whose primary food is dead human skin cells. They do not actually live on people, though. It is probably not possible to entirely eradicate them. They and their feces and other allergens they produce are major constituents of house dust, but because they are so heavy they are not long suspended in the air. They generally are on the floor and other surfaces, until disturbed (by walking, for example). Sources suggest it could take somewhere between 20 minutes and 2 hours for them to settle back down out of the air. Dust mites are a nesting species that prefer a dark, warm and humid climate, and they therefore flourish in mattresses, bedding, upholstered furniture, and carpets. Their feces include enzymes that are released upon contact with a moist surface, as happens when a person breathes it in, and these enzymes actually kill cells within the human body.[2] Sources suggest that house dust mites did not become a problem until humans began to use textiles, such as western style blankets and clothing.[3]
Alternatively, the hygiene hypothesis posits that the modern obsession with cleanliness is as much a problem as house dust mites. The hygiene hypothesis argues that our lack of prior pathogenic exposure may in fact encourage the development of ailments including hay fever and asthma.[4][5]
Dust comes from arid and dry regions where high velocity winds are able to remove mostly silt-sized material, deflating susceptible surfaces. This includes areas where grazing, ploughing, vehicle use and other human activities have further destabilized the land, though not all source areas have been largely affected by anthropogenic impacts.[6] One-third of the global land area is covered by dust-producing surfaces, made up of hyper-arid regions like the Sahara that covers 0.9 billion hectares, and drylands, which occupy 5.2 billion hectares.[7]
Dust in the atmosphere is produced by saltation and sandblasting of sand-sized grains, and it is transported through the troposphere. This airborne dust is considered an aerosol and once in the atmosphere, it can produce strong local radiative forcing. Saharan dust in particular can be transported and deposited as far as the Caribbean and Amazonia, and may affect air temperatures, cause ocean cooling, and alter rainfall amounts.[6]
Coal dust is responsible for the lung disease known as pneumoconiosis, including black lung disease, that occurs among coal miners. The danger of coal dust resulted in environmental legislation regulating work place air quality in some jurisdictions. In addition, if enough coal dust is dispersed within the air in a given area, it can create an explosion hazard under certain circumstances.
Dust kicked up by vehicles traveling on roads[8] may make up 33% of air pollution[9] Road dust consists of deposition of vehicle exhausts and industrial exhausts, tire and brake wear, dust from paved roads or potholes, and dust from construction sites.[10] Road dust represents a significant source contributing to the generation and release of particulate matter into the atmosphere.[11] Control of road dust is a significant challenge in urban areas, and also in other spheres with high levels of vehicular traffic upon unsealed roads such as mines and garbage dumps. Road dust may be suppressed by mechanical methods like sweeping vehicles,[12] with vegetable oils,[13] or with water sprayers.
The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandates facilities that generate dust minimize or mitigate the production of dust in their operation. The most frequent dust control violations occur at new residential housing developments in urban areas. United States Federal law requires that construction sites obtain permits to conduct earth moving, and include plans to control dust emissions. Control measures include such simple practices as spraying construction and demolition sites with water, and preventing the tracking of dust onto adjacent roads. US federal laws require dust control on sources such as vacant lots, unpaved parking lots, and unpaved roads. Dust in such places may be suppressed by mechanical methods,[citation needed] including paving or laying down gravel, or stabilizing the surface with water, vegetable oils[13] or other dust suppressants, or by using water misters to suppress dust that is already airborne.[citation needed]
Dust control is the suppression of solid particles with diameters less than 500 micrometers. Dust in the airstream poses a serious health threat to children,[14] older people, and those with respiratory illnesses. House dust can become airborne easily. Care should be exercised when removing dust to avoid causing the dust to become airborne. Some dust removing devices trap some dust. One way to repel dust is with an electrical charge.[citation needed] Certified HEPA (tested to MIL STD 282) can effectively trap 99.97% of dust at 0.3 micrometres. Not all HEPA (type/media) filters can effectively stop dust, while vacuums with HEPA (type/media) filters, water, or cyclones may filter more effectively than without, they may still exhaust millions of particles per cubic foot of air circulated. Laser Particle Counters are an effective way to measure filter effectiveness, medical grade can test for particles as small as 0.3 micrometres. In order to test for dust in the air, there are several options available. Preweighted filter and matched weight filters made from polyvinyl chloride or mixed cellulose ester are suitable for respirable dust (less than 10 micrometres in diameter).[15]
A dust resistant surface is a state of prevention against dust contamination or damage, by a design or treatment of materials and items in manufacturing or through a repair process. A reduced tacticity of a synthetic layer or covering can protect surfaces and release small molecules that could have remained attached. A panel, container or enclosure with seams may feature types of strengthened rigidity or sealant to vulnerable edges and joins.
Cosmic dust is widely present in space, where gas and dust clouds are primary precursors for planetary systems. The zodiacal light, as seen in a dark night sky, is produced by sunlight reflected from particles of dust in orbit around the Sun. The tails of comets are produced by emissions of dust and ionized gas from the body of the comet. Dust also covers solid planetary bodies, and vast dust storms occur on Mars that cover almost the entire planet. Interstellar dust is found between the stars, and high concentrations produce diffuse nebulae and reflection nebulae.
Dust is widely present in the galaxy. Ambient radiation heats dust and re-emits radiation into the microwave band, which may distort the cosmic microwave background power spectrum. Dust in this regime has a complicated emission spectrum, and includes both thermal dust emission and spinning dust emission.[16]
Dust samples returned from outer space may provide information about conditions in the early solar system. Several spacecraft have sought to gather samples of dust and other materials. Among these craft was Stardust, which flew past Comet Wild 2 in 2004, and returned a capsule of the comet's remains to Earth in January 2006. In 2010 the Japanese Hayabusa spacecraft returned samples of dust from the surface of an asteroid.

David Lee Murphy (born January 7, 1959) is an American country music artist. Signed to MCA Nashville Records in 1994, Murphy made his first appearance on the Billboard country charts that year with "Just Once", a song from the soundtrack to the 1994 film 8 Seconds. A year later, Murphy's debut album Out with a Bang was released; overall, it produced four chart singles. His follow-up albums, Gettin' Out the Good Stuff (1996) and We Can't All Be Angels (1997) were less successful than their predecessors, and by 1998, Murphy was dropped from MCA's roster. A fourth album, Tryin' to Get There, was released in 2004 on Koch Entertainment (now E1 Music), with the Top 5 single "Loco" being released from that album before Koch closed its country division in 2005.
Murphy's four albums produced a total of thirteen singles on the country charts, including the Number One hit "Dust on the Bottle" from 1995 and four more Top Ten hits. Although he has not recorded since 2004, Murphy has co-written several singles for other artists, including the Number One hits "Living in Fast Forward" for Kenny Chesney, "Big Green Tractor" for Jason Aldean and "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" for Thompson Square.

David Lee Murphy was born on January 7, 1959 in Herrin, Illinois.[1] By 1983, he had moved to Nashville, Tennessee, seeking a successful career in country music. Two years later, he was spotted by record producer Tony Brown at a club in Nashville, although Brown did not sign Murphy to a record deal until nearly a decade later.[2] In the meantime, however, Murphy did co-write album cuts for Reba McEntire and Doug Stone.[2]
Murphy's first recording for MCA Nashville was the song "Just Once", which was included on the soundtrack to the 1994 film 8 Seconds.[1] In 1994, "Just Once" entered the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts, reaching a peak of #36. The same year, Murphy began work on his debut album Out with a Bang, released in early 1995. The album produced three hit singles overall, including "Party Crowd", which became the most-played country song of 1995, as well as "Dust on the Bottle", his first and only Number One single.[1] Out with a Bang became the best-selling album for a new male country act in all of 1995, and was certified platinum by the RIAA.[1]
Gettin' Out the Good Stuff was the title of Murphy's second album, released in 1996. Although it produced back-to-back Top 5 singles in "Every Time I Get Around You" and "The Road You Leave Behind", the album did not sell as well as Out With a Bang had;[1][3] in addition, its third and fourth singles both failed to reach Top 40. "Every Time I Get Around You" was also a #2 on the RPM Country Tracks charts in Canada, and was named as that publication's Number One country song for the year 1996.[4]
Murphy's third and final album for MCA, titled We Can't All Be Angels, was released in 1997.[5] In a 1997 interview, Murphy revealed that he had intended for this album to be experimental in nature, saying that he "wanted to create just a whole different tone, sonically. I just wanted a different sounding record."[5] We Can't All Be Angels sold even lower than Out With a Bang had; its two singles, "All Lit up in Love" and "Just Don't Wait Around 'Til She's Leavin'", peaked at #25 and #37, respectively, on the country charts. By 1998, Murphy was dropped from MCA's roster.[1][3]
By the 2000s, Murphy had shifted his focus to songwriting. One of his first cuts in the 2000s was the title track to Aaron Tippin's 2000 album People Like Us; this song was a Top 20 for Tippin in 2001. Trick Pony also entered the country Top 20 one year later with another one of Murphy's compositions — the title track to their 2002 album On a Mission.[2] Murphy also co-wrote album cuts for several other artists, including Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, and Hank Williams, Jr.[2]
Koch Entertainment signed Murphy to his second recording contract in 2004. That year, he released his fourth studio album, Tryin' to Get There. The album, whose title track was co-written by Waylon Jennings prior to his death in 2002,[6] produced the Top Five hit "Loco", which reached #5 in 2004. The only other single from Tryin' to Get There was "Inspiration", a collaboration with singer and guitarist Lee Roy Parnell, which peaked at #48. Koch closed its Nashville division in early 2005, and Murphy was once again without a record deal.
Following the closure of Koch Nashville, Murphy continued working as a songwriter, scoring his first outside Number One with Kenny Chesney's 2006 single "Living in Fast Forward". 2007 produced three more chart singles co-written by Murphy: Gary Allan's "A Feelin' Like That" (co-written by Ira Dean, then a member of Trick Pony), Van Zant's "Goes Down Easy", and Blake Shelton's "The More I Drink". 2008 saw the release of Keith Anderson's "Somebody Needs a Hug" and the Eli Young Band's "Always the Love Songs", two more songs co-written by Murphy, and Jason Aldean topped the country charts in September 2009 with "Big Green Tractor", which Murphy wrote with Jim Collins. Josh Thompson charted in 2010 with "Way Out Here", another Murphy co-write.
Other Murphy co-writes include Thompson Square's "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" and Kenny Chesney's "Live a Little".
Murphy is married to his wife, Donna, and they have three sons. They live on a secluded farm just outside of Nashville.
In 2000, Murphy hosted a series of concerts in his hometown of Herrin, Illinois, raising $25,000 for the Jack Murphy fund, which David Lee started in honor of his father, Dr. Jack Murphy, a local civic leader and educator.[7]
