* In the Christian tradition, the number thirteen contains negative connotations of bad luck and betrayal. It’s also the number of participants who attended the Last Supper, and it was Judas Iscariot, the disciple who betrayed Jesus, who was the 13th to sit at the table.On the other hand, in Judaism, thirteen is considered a positive number as it’s the age at which a boy matures and becomes a Bar Mitzvah – an adult committed to the Torah and the community. In addition, thirteen is the number of principles of Jewish faith according to Maimonides, while according to the Torah, God has 13 Attributes of Mercy.
