Swansea 1-5 Manchester United | FA Youth Cup Official Highlights 02-02-12
Swansea City 1-5 Manchester United The FA Youth Cup Fifth Round Thursday 2 February 2012 Liberty Stadium, Swansea City FC Fifth Round Results | Sixth Round Fixtures Gyliano van Velzen scored twice as Manchester United romped to a 5-1 win over Swansea in The FA Youth Cup Fifth Round on Thursday night. The Dutch U17 international scored either side of half-time and was joined on the scoresheet by Jack Barmby, Sam Byrne and Tyler Blackett. Most of the damage was done in the first half as the reigning champions led 3-0 at the interval at the Liberty Stadium. Barmby provided the crucial breakthrough in the 38th minute when he slotted the ball past an onrushing Oliver Davies from Nicolas Ioannou's pass. And the lead was doubled just two minutes later when Mats Daelhi unselfishly squared the ball to Van Velzen who made no mistake with an easy tap-in. And there was still time for Irish striker Byrne to slide the ball past Davies and into the back of the net in first-half injury time after neat build up play between Barmby and Van Velzen. Van Velzen then grabbed his second four minutes after the break to put the tie beyond doubt. But a defensive mix-up and a loose header by captain Blackett allowed James Loveridge to pull one back for the home side. But Blackett made amends and sealed United's emphatic victory with a beautiful free kick in the dying moments of the game. United advance to the quarter final stage where they have a home tie against the winners of the Charlton and ...

Leicester City made it through to the next round of The FA Youth Cup more comfortably by smashing Aldershot for five in their Third Round tie. In a completely one-sided game, Leicester's two strikers, Tom Hopper and Harry Panayiotou both scored twice, whilst Matt Robinson completed the 5-0 rout of the League Two team. Liverpool 9-0 Southend - Official Youth Cup highlights
Official FATV highlights; Including Raheem Sterling's five goals as well as a penalty from England U19 captain Conor Coady and strikes from Stephen Sama, Adam Morgan and Toni Silva. Five-goal Raheem Sterling proved to be the difference as Liverpool's Academy side overwhelmed Southend United with a 9-0 FA Youth Cup Fifth Round victory at Anfield. Sterling was the stand-out performer as the Reds earned a Quarter-Final tie against either Manchester United or Newcastle United thanks to a comprehensive success on Merseyside. Despite that, the young Shrimpers kept going to the end, and were unfortunate not to record a goal of their own on the night. Blues had defeated Academy opposition in each of the previous two rounds, with the more recent victory against Derby County coming away from home at Pride Park, but they were unable to repeat that achievement as a Conor Coady penalty, headers from Stephen Sama and Adam Morgan and Toni Brito E Silva's late strike were added to Sterling's incredible personal haul.

Liverpool vs Man United Youth Cup Highlights
Trouble flared in the stands and four players were sent off during the match as Manchester United came from two goals down to beat Liverpool 3-2 in their FA Youth Cup quarter-final at Anfield. Liverpool's Stephen Sama and United's Paul Pogba were dismissed in quick succession in the second half with the scores at 1-1, Sama for giving away a penalty and Pogba, bizarrely, while taking it. Reds captain Conor Coady and United defender Tyler Blackett then picked up red cards late on. Liverpool, who had notched 55 goals in their last 15 games, including nine in the last round victory over Southend, seized control of the tie, during which a flare lit, thanks to Adam Morgan's brace either side of half-time. And United fortunes flickered back and forth on the hour. They were given a penalty and handed a man advantage (Sama dismissed for his foul on Ryan Tunnicliffe), but despite Pogba tucking the spot-kick away, he picked up a second yellow card for stopping midway through his run up. QPR 1-0 Everton | FA Youth Cup Official Highlights
Queens Park Rangers 1-0 Everton The FA Youth Cup Fourth Round Proper 7pm, Thursday 12 January 2012 Loftus Road, Queens Park Rangers FC Click here for fixtures Plucky Queens Park Rangers were indebted to a stunning solo strike from Bruno Andrade as they edged out Everton 1-0 in the Fourth Round of The FA Youth Cup at Loftus Road. Forward Andrade drifted inside from the right flank before catching Toffees goalkeeper James Fitzgibbon unawares with a sensational 30-yard strike four minutes into the second half to register the only goal of the game and help the hosts claim a memorable scalp. Before the Portuguese's intervention, current FA Premier Academy League champions Everton had seemed the more likely side to seize the initiative, despite Fitzgibbon being called upon to react quickly to beat away an early Andrade effort. Spurred on by a pressing approach that consistently yielded possession, Everton threatened, at times relentlessly. Anton Forrester spun to fire over during the opening gambits and, after England U18s man John Lundstram had been denied by Gareth Deane, Another of Everton's England starlets Hallam Hope was inches away from connecting with a Forrester centre. If that was a narrow escape for Rangers, they were soon thankful for the width of the right-hand upright as Forrester prodded against the woodwork. QPR's patient approach began to frustrate their busy visitors the longer the first half went on and the players went in at the interval with the match ...

HIGHLIGHTS: FA YOUTH CUP City U18s v Corby Town U18s at Ewen Fields
A Jordi Hiwula hat-trick finally saw off a stubborn Corby Town in the FA Youth Cup at Ewen Fields. The visitors took an early lead through James Harrison but Hiwula equalised before the break. City's in-form talisman then went onto score again, before Adam Drury made it three and Hiwula sealed his hat-trick to send the Blues through to the fourth round of the competition. Corby started brightly, with Harrison producing a looping header that almost beat City goalkeeper Angus Gunn after just three minutes. The Steelboys, encouraged by a vocal travelling support, dominated the opening 20 minutes and their efforts were rewarded when Harrison lifted the ball over Gunn. The lead was deserved as City struggled to impose themselves against the tenacious visitors. Despite that, Adam Sadler's Blues remained focused and equalised through the Under 18's top scorer Hiwula 10 minutes later. Although Corby kept their heads up and displayed dogged determination, the combined creativity of City's Alex Henshall, Denis Suarez and Albert Rusnak was always going to threaten and proved the key to the Blues' victory. After the break the home side found momentum and took the lead when Hiwula slotted home after Suarez's effort was saved but not cleared by Corby's goalkeeper Danny Wallace. City maintained possession well and soon it was three when midfielder Drury slotted in Rusnak's cross from close range. Corby began to tire in the latter stages and the Blues youngsters pressed on, with Hiwula ...

Subscribe for FREE and never miss another CityTV video. www.youtube.com www.mcfc.co.uk http www.twitter.com MATCH REPORT: City u18s are through to the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup after a convincing 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium. A pair of late magical solo goals from Marcos Lopes and Jose Angel Pozo saw off a stubborn Burnley outfit on a fantastic night for City's Academy. Thick freezing fog in the Manchester area wasn't enough to deter 2570 fans from taking advantage of free entry for seasoncard holders and low ticket prices for fans looking to catch a glimpse of the future. Burnley had taken 1000 supporters to Old Trafford in the last round and they showed up in numbers again, licking their lips at the prospect of a second big name scalp after dumping Manchester United out in the last round. Attilio Lombardo and Adam Sadler opted to make just one change from the u18 side that dispatched Sunderland at Edgeley Park in the last round, bringing in England youth international right-back Shay Facey for Belgian defender Mathias Bossaerts. That meant that there was a place for Portuguese forward Marcos "Rony" Lopes, back at the scene of his debut goal for the first-team in the FA Cup win over Watford. The visitors flew out of the blocks and were first to force an effort on goal after 2 minutes when City captain Karim Rekik was pick-pocketed ...

Manchester United 4-1 (6-3 agg) Sheffield United - FA Youth Cup Final Second Leg Official Highlights
The FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON Old Trafford youngsters lift Youth Cup By - Monday, 23 May, 2011 Manchester United overcome Sheffield United to clinch silverware. Manchester United win 6-3 on aggregate Ravel Morrison and Will Keane scored a brace apiece to see off Sheffield United and help Manchester United's youngsters lift The FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON. A day after their senior counterparts were handed the Premier League trophy, Old Trafford's up and coming talent earned their own moment of glory as they beat the Blades 6-3 on aggregate to register the club's tenth success in the competition. Morrison got the scoring underway finishing well into the bottom corner before Keane got his first from the penalty spot after Terry Kennedy's handball inside the area. Sheffield United's Harry Maguire went off on a stretcher early in the second half shortly before Morrison made it 3-0 with low drill into the corner. Joe Ironside pulled one back for the visitors but Keane responded with another to round off the scoring and see United claim the Youth Cup for the first time since 2003.

Piazon struck 20 minutes from time to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory for Adi Viveash's men, who will face Blackburn Rovers in The Final. Jack Barmby gave United the lead and levelled it on aggregate just before the break to keep up his record of having scored in every round of The Cup, but Piazon's leveller was enough to tie the game and send Chelsea through after a thoroughly entertaining 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea went into the match looking to protect, or build upon, their first leg advantage granted to them courtesy of goals from Amin Affane and Islam Feruz. Chelsea 4-0 Blackburn Rovers The FA Youth Cup The Final First Leg 7pm, Friday 20 April 2012 Stamford Bridge, Chelsea FC Chelsea made big strides towards lifting The FA Youth Cup this season, with a comprehensive victory over Blackburn Rovers in the first-leg of The Final at Stamford Bridge on Friday evening. Two goals in the first-half from captain Nathaniel Chalobah and Lewis Baker put them in control, before a brace from Islam Feruz after the break was enough to give Adi Viveash's team a solid advantage ahead of the second-leg at Ewood Park in early May. Whilst the scoreline may suggest the home side dominated this game, that wasn't always the case and they had goalkeeper Jamal Blackman to be grateful to on several occasions, with the England U19 international making a number of good saves to earn a his side a clean sheet. Bolton 1-2 Southampton - FA Youth Cup Official highlights- 11-01-12
Southampton came back from a goal down to beat Bolton 2-1 at St Mary's in The FA Youth Cup Fourth Round. The visitors took the lead in the first half on Wednesday night via an Oscar Threlkeld header before Corby Moore hit the leveller on 55 minutes with a similar headed goal. With ten minutes remaining Saints secured their place in the Fifth Round where they will face Nottingham Forest or Wigan Athletic. Jack Stephens weaved his way through the Bolton defence before providing an inviting pass for Jake Sinclair to convert. In Wales, Tottenham enjoyed a fantastic Wednesday night with a Premier League win for Harry Redknapp's first team and a 2-1 triumph for the U18s against Cardiff. Two goals in as many first-half minutes from Jack Munns and Souleymane Coulibaly put Spurs in the driving seat at the new Cardiff City Stadium. Jesse Darko pulled one back for the Welsh club on the hour mark but failed to inspire a comeback. Spurs U18s coach Alex Inglethorpe said: "I was really pleased that we didn't collapse in on ourselves after their goal and even though there was only a one-goal difference, we were brave in how we played in that final half-hour." Chelsea and Norwich were still level at 0-0 after 120 minutes but The Blues progressed after winning 4-2 in the penalty shootout. The famous West Ham Academy side made light work of Brighton with a 4-1 win at Upton Park. A Rob Hall double and strikes from Elliot Lee and Matthias Fanimo were enough to see the Hammers over the line in ...
