History
The channel was launched on the 28 March 2008 by the INX Network, which was then headed by Indrani Mukerjea.NewsX is India's first HDTV enabled channel. The presentation is minimalistic in its on-screen graphics and activity. The present colour scheme includes simple black backgrounds with yellow and white text.
On 9 January 2009, it was announced that NewsX had been purchased by Indi-Media Network, a partnership between the NaiDunia CEO Vinay Chhajlani and former Businessworld editor Jehangir Pochaa.
In September 2010, NewsX announced its intention to re-brand as IMN News.
