"I know for a fact that the majority of the citizens of Troy are not fools," writes recall supporter Linda Kajma. "They don’t take their quality of life for granted and they want responsible members on council."

Note: The deadline to submit Letters to the Editor and blog posts relating to the Nov. 6 election was 5 p.m. Sunday; this is the last election-related letter/blog post that will be posted until after the election. Dear Editor: I recently received a mailer from the No Troy Recall group in support of Janice Daniels. Once again, as in past elections, a mailer with unfounded information is sent to Troy voters to try to scare them into keeping her in office. I am not surprised, since this group has done this before and usually the weekend before the election. They travel under numerous …

My name is Jeff Williams and I've been a Troy resident since 1985. I am voting "yes" to recall Mayor Janice Daniels. In the recall document, each of the four items are true. But, one item stands significantly alone. Why? Because it involves our children. On Jan. 9, Mayor Daniels attended a meeting with some of our Troy High School children. Their intent was to develop an anti-bullying campaign for their school. But Mayor Daniels seized that opportunity to inflect her extreme ideology. During that meeting, she made the statement to our children that, "The homosexual lifestyle is dangerous." NO!!! You, Madame Mayor, are dangerous! Why? Because you put our children in harm's way. When you made those bigoted and hurtful comments about …

No one can justify the ongoing distorted views and actions of Troy’s contentious mayor, Janice Daniels. Many witnessed the rage in her eyes and disconnect in her thoughts causing them to question if she is fit to lead. Recent media coverage of Mayor Daniels’ intentional misrepresentation of the Leadership Troy 2012 Distinguished Citizen award honoring Mary Kerwin should serve as a warning to Troy voters as they prepare to vote on the YES: to RECALL Janice Daniels on Nov. 6. With 9,300 petition signatures, the silent majority are prepared to put closure to Mayor Daniels’ repugnance, hostility, mismanagement and intimidation. Her bigotry and hate are learned behaviors with serious consequences. Why any person, or group, would support an …
