What did I love about my host city, Grenoble, France? Everything is in this video! Diverse food, culture, meeting people, sight seeing-I got it all in Grenoble. All footage is original shot by myself on my Canon Powershot SD980 IS digital camera. Photographs are original taken by myself and Cynthia Cepeda. All audio is original, designed by myself from sound effects in Apple's Garage Band Sound Editing software, and originally recorded off my digital camera from street performances near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Created by Gretchen Bachrodt, 2011. Student studying French and Video Production at the University of Iowa.

Grenoble Trams / Tramway de Grenoble, January 2011
Grenoble's old tramway closed in 1952. A new modern tramway has opened in stages from 1987 onwards. There are currently four overlapping lines that operate as a street-level light rail system. The tramway is almost exclusively private right of way, with some attractive tram and pedestrian only streets and squares in the city centre. Cars are a 1987 design Alstom-Francorail TFS (Tramway Français Standard) and a Grenoble version of the highly-successful Alstom Citadis from 2005. The system is standard gauge (1435mm/ 4'8 ½") 750v dc.

CHAMONIX - GRENOBLE
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc or, more commonly, Chamonix is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It was the site of the 1924 Winter Olympics, the first Winter Olympics. The commune's population of around 9800 ranks 865th within the country of France. Situated near the massive peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges, Chamonix shares the summit of Mont Blanc with its neighboring commune of Courmayeur in Italy, and owns the title of highest commune in France. The commune is well known and loved by skiers and by mountain enthusiasts of all types. Mont Blanc, at a height of 4810 metres, is the third most visited natural site in the world.[2] With an area of 245 square kilometres, Chamonix is the fourth largest commune in mainland France. Grenoble (Arpitan: Grenoblo) is a city in southeastern France, situated at the foot of the French Alps where the river Drac joins the Isère. Located in the Rhône-Alpes region, Grenoble is the capital of the department of Isère. The proximity of the mountains has led to the city being known as the "Capital of Alps." Grenoble's history encompasses a period of more than 2000 years, and the city has been the capital of the Dauphiné since the 11th century. Grenoble experienced a period of economic expansion in the nineteenth and 20th centuries, which is symbolized by the holding of the X Olympic Winter Games in 1968. The city is now a significant scientific center in Europe

Brick @ PLAY IN #2
GIGANTIC KINECT BRICK GAME ON A BUILDING
"This will definitely take your classic video game into epic and interesting proportions! The Kinect Gigantic Brick Game on a Building is as the name suggests; a Kinect-controlled Brick Game which the display is projected on the side of a tall building. This video by WECOMEINPEACE displays this very spectacular Kinect hack and how this project attracts bystanders directly and indirectly. In the video, the side of the tall building serves as the “monitor” for the brick game. Using a variety of high-powered projectors, the building displays the Kinect brick game. Using the Kinect, the user then commences to use his gestures to play the game. Arm movements control the main racket that bounces the ball and with the larger than life screen to view the game, it certainly adds more majesty to an otherwise old game. Kinect games are getting much love and soon, our own buildings might have an interactive Kinect game readily available."

Giant Episode 2 Sun
The second episode of the Giant Serie is all fresh.
As I said, each episode will have a different Giant, this one is the Sun and his lost ray beam.
The idea is to travel through the world of the Giant and discover the untold truth about them and their conflicts with the human being.
Those 2 first episode were autoproduced, we would love to keep on creating episodes, we're looking for someone who could help us on producing it.
Special Big thanks to David Kamp for his great sound ;)

MONCLER GRENOBLE FALL 2012
Moncler Grenoble went back to the New York for the third year, taking center stage with a winter fairy tale at Wollman ice-skating rink, in the hear of Central Park. 180 professional athletes were synchronized skating, in monochrome teams of three, performin an impressive dance while presenting the new Autumn/Winter collection. Luam who has worked with celebrities such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Kelly Rowland and Britney Spears thoughtfully choreographed the act. An orchestra of New York based musicians provided the soundtrack. Inspired by the Sixties, the collection showcases warm furs, soft wools and futuristic fabrics. The surprising mix of shapes are created with the use of plastic, suggesting a new and sophisticated identity. Women`s garments are snug and form a cocoon like silhouette around the figure. Coats and jackets are designed as protective shells in Naplak, a classic material used for bags in the sixties. Glossy, lively substantial, it-s an evolution of the celebrated Moncler Laque. Transparent PVC inserts allow a glimpse of the inner padding, which offers a subtle , futuristic effect to the classic puffer jacktets. The colour palette is neutral and conjures up a vision of mountains with hues of ice, stone and snow. Contrasting colours appear in navy blue and bright red. www.moncler.com
