DIY is a well known phrase but our answer to the problems of this type of society that we live in, is DIO Do It Ourselves. We can work together to create communities that can work in federation with other like-minded communities. The ordinary people have all the skills and imagination necessary to build and sustain healthy, just and happy environments. We don't need a bunch of power hungry parasites to tell us what is best for us, why should we believe a group of egotistical arrogant political careerists that tell us that to control our lives is too difficult, so we should leave that part to them. It is our lives, it is our world.
We are the ones who knead and yet we have no bread, we are the ones who dig for coal and yet we are cold.
We are the ones who have nothing, and we are coming to take the world.
I am slowly but surely working on some new content for my blog. My goal will be to post weekly, but that will depend on my schedule. My personal and professional life are keeping me busy, but I like it that way. Aside from work I am taking an MOOC on Game Theory through Coursera. It is a seven week class that requires a commitment of seven hours a week. I’m excited to test this newish trend in continuing education.
On the home front I plan on doing some home minor home renovations. I’m new to the DIY home improvement scene, but I am eager to make it work. If things go well I’ll post pictures. If they don’t go well I’ll post rants.

Detroit, a bustling busy thriving city that capitalism decided to kill off, however, the residents had other thoughts. So as industry and services pulled out, the people started to recreate Detroit in a different shape and form. This is just a little excerpt of what they are up to. It was filmed by a group from Glasgow who were curious and eager to find out what the people of Detroit were upto.
Every month or so, over the last 7 years or there abouts, ann arky has produced a free paper and handed it out on the streets of Glasgow. It is now available as a PDF HERE. At the moment only the most recent ones are available but I hope to get them all up for downloading if you're interested. Have a look and let me know what you think.
