"Qurbani" (Hindi: क़ुरबानी, Urdu: قربانی) is a 1980 Indian Urdu/Hindi movie. Produced and directed by Feroz Khan (under the banner of FK International). The film stars Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Amrish Puri and Kader Khan. The film's direction, urban setting, music and foreign locales, as well as upmarket images, made it stand out when it was released. Biddu was the music director for the song "Aap Jaisa Koi" which introduced him and Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan to Indian films. The rest of the songs and the background score were set by Kalyanji-Anandji The movie is known for excellent music and songs, including the title qawwali 'Qurbani Qurbani', written by the Urdu Poet Farooq Qaiser, and rendered by Anwar, Kishore Kumar and Aziz Nazan. It also has a gem in Mohammed Rafi rendered song, Kya Dekhte ho', which was written by Indivar. Qurbani became a box office success and the biggest hit of the year. Vinod Khanna also became the front runner for the superstar title. Its songs were a rage and the movie sold the most number of records and tapes in that year. * The qawwali "Qurbani qurbani" received a special award for 'The Most Amazing Evergreen Song' by Bollywood music producer Rakesh Roshan. * To draw shock from the audience, a scene was included having a calculated decimation of a Mercedes Benz in an underground parking lot. Fardeen Khan would play the role of his father. Saif perhaps will play the role of Vinod Khanna and Feroze Khan will be stepping into Amjhad Khan's shoes. Mallika and Fardeen have already agreed to act in the film, but Saif still hasn't given his nod, perhaps because of Fardeen's presence in the film. We always get to see something different in a Feroze Khan movie. Original Qurbani had a lot of glamour in it, which really wasn't what was expected from films at that time. Well, to enter the zone of making remakes, Feroze Khan wouldn't have found a better film than this.

Fardeen Khan to produce Qurbani remake
Fardeen Khan is all set to produce the remake of Qurbani. He is stepping into his fathers shoes. It seems he will be playing the role of Feroz Khan too. As it was reported earlier, Sanjay Dutt will be portraying the role of Amjed Khan in the film. Apparently the film will be produced under Khans banner.

Vinod Khanna (, Punjabi: ਵਿਨੋਦ ਖੰਨਾ born 6 October 1946, Peshawar) is an Indian actor, film producer and politician.
Early life
Khanna was born to Kamla and KC Khanna, a textiles, dyes and chemicals businessman of Hindu Khatri origin, on October 6, 1946, in Peshawar, British India(now in Pakistan). He has three sisters and one brother. Shortly after his birth, India was partioned and the family fled Peshawar and reached Mumbai (then Bombay).At Mumbai, he attended Queen Mary School, Bombay (Mumbai) until class II and then shifted to St. Xavier's High School, Fort. In 1957, the family again shifted to Delhi where he attended a Delhi Public School Society school. Although the family moved back to Mumbai in 1960, he was sent to a boarding school in Devlali. It was during his time at the boarding school that he watched the epic Mughal-e-Azam and fell in love with motion pictures. He graduated with a commerce degree from Sydenham College.
Career
Vinod Khanna debuted in Sunil Dutt's 1968 film Man Ka Meet as a villain. He acted in multi-starrer films often playing supporting and negative roles in hit films such as Purab Aur Paschim (1970), Sachaa Jhutha (1970) and Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971). In the early 1980s, he moved to Rajneeshpuram, Osho's commune in the United States, for four years, cleaning dishes and working as Osho's gardener. His absence from his family, who remained behind in India, caused friction between the couple, and the marriage ended in divorce.In 1990, he married his second wife, Kavita. They have a son, Sakshi, and a daughter Shraddha.

Early life
Fardeen Khan was born to actor turned director Feroz Khan and Sundari. He is the nephew of actor Sanjay Khan and cousin of Suzanne Khan and Zayed Khan, who is also a Bollywood actor. Khan is also the brother-In-Law of Hrithik Roshan, a Bollywood actor and son-In-law of Mumtaz, a Bollywood actress of 1960s.He was schooled at Jamnabai Narsee in Juhu. He also trained at Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting Institute.
Personal life
Khan is married to Mumtaz's daughter, Natasha Madhwani. The wedding took place at Amby Valley, India, in December 2005.
