Release Date: 26 September 1997 (USA) The Requiem or Requiem Mass, also known as the Missa pro defunctis (Latin, "Mass for the deceased") or Missa defunctorum ("Mass of the deceased"), is a liturgical service of the Roman Catholic Church celebrated by the priest presider for the repose of the soul of a particular deceased person or persons. It is frequently, but by no means always, celebrated in the context of a funeral. Outside the Catholic Church, the ceremony is used in the Anglo-Catholic branch of Anglicanism and in certain Lutheran churches. A comparable service, with a wholly different ritual form and texts, exists in the Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches. The term "Requiem" is the accusative form of the Latin noun requies (rest, repose). The introit of the liturgy begins with the words "Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine" "Grant them eternal rest, O Lord". The Requiem Mass is notable for the large number of musical compositions that it has inspired, including the requiems of Mozart, Verdi and Fauré. Originally, such compositions were meant to be performed in liturgical service, with monophonic chant. Eventually the dramatic character of the text began to appeal to composers to an extent that they made the requiem a genre of its own, and the requiems of composers such as Verdi are essentially concert pieces rather than ...

Lady GaGa - The Edge Of Glory (Ballad Version)
Hey! Since this video is going to have new viewers, i thought i should tell a little bit about my self, Hi, you can call me Divazzy, I'm 14 years old (May 16th, 1997) and i like to make remixes of songs, specially ballad remixes, ballad remixes is when i take any song, probably a fast dance one, and try my best to turn it into a ballad- slow song! i first started with doing ballad remixes with Britney's amazing songs from femme fatale and such, then i made a whole remix album for britney! so now i'm trying to change things up a little bit and ballad-remix other artist's songs, and well, i did gaga! the next ballad remix will PROBABLY be We Found Love By Rihanna, i still can't find a good quality acapella of it but we'll see. the program i used to remix is FL Studio 10, ran on Parallels Desktop (a mac application that runs windows on a mac ;p) and the video is made with iMovie -pretty simple and the cover is made by me! Thanks for watching and i hope you like what you hear! :) oh and Merry Christmas!

Breathtaking theme for fantastic 1997 lost-in-the-wilderness film. This is one of my favorite Goldsmith scores of all time, and easily one of his most underrated works. Brilliant!
