A JJ's Ruff Roads video reel of about 5 different rescues that I was able to get footage of.. ENJOY! Video 1 Buck, a Cane Corso that lived on the streets in the Akron, Oh area for almost 1 1/2 years. Buck was VERY elusive and Very skittish. It took a dedicated couple to feed and watch his where abouts for 8 months. I tracked him many of times, but he was not going for a trap, kennel, etc. I decided that we'd set up a temporary kennel panel behind a building that he traveled behind often. The couple and 3 of us planned to put the scenario in action one Sunday morning. The couple fed Buck at his normal time (0600) and we waited and watched. Finally he went behind building. Panel was in place at other end and the other was moved quickly over to block the side he went in.. Even though, Buck was unfortunately Heartworm positive and had to under go treatment... he is safe and living the life he never knew existed. Video 2(start time at 4.56 min mark) Jacobs Story. Jacob was a scared boy that lived in a ball field in North Hill, Oh for just over a year. He survived only by a 60yr older gentleman that religiously fed him through the fence. As gifted from God, I learned of Jacobs story while searching for another dog in the area. I then worked with Larry, the kind man that fed him for over a year and I planned to set up a crate/food/water in an abandoned garage on the property of the field. Each day, either Larry or myself would crawl through a hole in the fence to replenish his food/water. I would watch Jacob through my binoculars about 5 days a week and watch his routine. You could not get within 100 ft of the boy or he would bolt. The fenced ball park kept him safe. Within a month, Jacob was eating out of dog crate that I had a manual trap door on. One day at feeding, I waited. Jacob was safe and still in foster with me. Unfortunately, he was Heartworm positive as well and had to go through treatment. Video 3 (start time at 11.23 minute mark) Thelma & Louise were two girls that lived on the streets of Akron for almost a year. Neighbors complained about them chasing feral cats and threatened to shoot them. My friend, Pam and I went into action. We set up manual trigger crates for them to become comfy eating out of. It was all about 3 days and we were able to one by one bring them to safety. Thelma was too, heartworm positive and underwent treatment. Thelma and Louise both have been adopted and have loving homes. Video 4( start time at 19.20 minute mark) Ol Girl I called her was wondering a neighborhood for at least 3 months known of. A kind couple fed her under their carport but they could not get close to her. I went out to set up crate scenario. After a couple days, Ol Girl started to get comfy enough to go in. Finally, she was safe. Ol Girl, now named Cali is in a foster home waiting for her forever family.. Video 5(start time at 26.14 minute mark) Warner was a little pitbull that my co- worker had called me about. Business people said, he was dumped at the abandoned Time Warner building early that morning. He paced along the building crying and whining all day. I went to location just before 6pm to rescue him. Warner is now safe and in foster care as well. Video 6( start time at 57:54 minute mark) Honcho was an owners LOST Chihuahua of 2 weeks. With different sightings we were able to pinpoint his hang out. I saw him one evening and left food. Came back the next day and he has eating it. I set up my trap that day. It was in the evening around 10pm that Honcho finally took the bait. The owners sat and watched as we patiently waited for Honcho to go in the trap. Honcho was SAFE and returned to his owners.
