Chief Keef Under Police Investigation For Tweeting After Rival Chicago Rapper 'JoJo' Gets Murdered! [News Coverage] The death of 18-year old rapper Joseph 'Lil Jojo' Coleman may be connected to a rap music rivalry. Coleman was shot in a drive-by shooting while riding his bike in the Englewood neighborhood on Tuesday. Coleman had recently released a song and music video targeting three other local rappers, including Keith 'Chief Keef' Cozart. The song '3hunna K' mocked rappers Lil' Reese and Chief Keef. Cozart posted comments in response to Coleman's death on Twitter saying, 'It's sad cus ... Jojo wanted to be just like us #LMAO.' Cozart later tweeted that his account had been hacked. Chicago Police are investigating if there is a link between Coleman's JoJo — whose real name was Joseph Coleman — had been feuding with rival rappers Lil Reese, Lil Durk and Chief Keef as well as with the Black Disciple street gang for months before he was fatally shot at 7:30 pm Tuesday near 69th and Princeton in the Englewood neighborhood

The Arlington Police Department assisted in making a wish come true for 7-year-old, Kye
On Saturday, April 14, 2012, APD and AFD came together with "A Wish with Wings" and made a dream come true for a 7-year-old boy, Kye, who has leukemia. We granted a Batman adventure wish for Kye. The adventure began at 10 am and ended with a special ceremony at City Hall where Assistant Police Chief James Hawthorne presented Kye a 'key to the City.' Kye's special day included a bank, fake money, motor officers, a bogus "bomb" and couple of cackling villains whose criminal acts were foiled by the good guys.

Deceit - Badman Silence
What if the smartest, toughest costumed bad ass in the world was totally evil? Meet Nemesis. He's systematically been destroying the lives of every police chief in Asia, and now he's set his sights in Washington, DC. Between you and me, the police don't stand a chance.
Richard Payne aka Creative Immortal has married print and screen with an ultra violent animation of the comic's panels. This mash-up for DJ Deceit's dubstep monster 'Badman Silence' garnered the attention of the Nemesis creators themselves. Millar said of it, 'Brilliant! I love it.' And McNiven stated, 'Absolutely spectacular!!! I was blown away.'

Niskayuna, NY 12309 Police pointing spotlight at us.
My name is Peter Landy, since 2001 we live inside a Niskayuna, NY community watch area controlled by means of organized gang stalking in coordination of Niskayuna, NY Police and the civilians "endowed" with the privilege to place anyone they don't like on their clandestine blacklist.
For the record my address is 1908 Dean St, Niskayuna, NY 12309
This video, taken on 5/13/2011 almost 3am, illustrates Niskayuna, NY Police menacing me with their spotlight to warn me I've been given the dubious honor of being on their target list. As one their officer bragged that "We do things differently here" - which I take as operating outside of rules, regulation and court of justice. This harassment campaign is going on right now and it's intense!
Note Correction: Near the end of this video a caption refers to my meeting with the Police originally referred as Chief Deputy which is an error the correct title is Deputy Chief.

53rd Journalism Awards Gala (part 1)
A. JOURNALISTS OF THE YEAR
A1. PRINT (Over 50,000 circulations)
Patrick Range McDonald, LA Weekly
Comments: "Range" is an appropriate middle name. What incredibly
detailed reporting on a variety of complicated topics. What an ability to
make us feel as if we know the players. What skill in explaining messy
situations. The very essence of solid journalism.
2nd place: David Evans, Bloomberg Markets, "Duping the Families of
Fallen Soldiers"
HM: Mariel Garza, Los Angeles Daily News Editorials
A2. PRINT (Under 50,000 circulation)
Radley Balko, Reason Magazine
Comment: ―Radley Balko is one of those throw-back journalists that
understands the power of groundbreaking reporting and how to make a
significant impact through his work. Time and time again, his stories cause
readers to stop, think, and most significantly, take action.
Congratulations!‖
2nd Place: Dan Evans, Glendale News-Press
HM: Ryan Vaillancourt, Los Angeles Downtown News
A3. TELEVISION JOURNALIST
Ana Garcia and Fred Mamoun, KNBC-TV
Garcia and Mamoun shoot, write and edit compelling stories. One of
their strengths as a team is the obvious respect for their subjects, and the
ability through contacts in the community to land exclusive interviews and
opportunities. They are strong storytellers and the pieces move!
2nd Place: Antonio Valverde, Univision
Valverde has a wide range as a journalist. He is able to work with various
segments of the community to tell compelling stories. He has political
acumen and can accurately and fairly tell stories, while also reaching out
to the disenfranchised to share their stories of life in L.A.
A4. RADIO JOURNALIST
Susan Valot, KPCC
Comments: Well-rounded reports with authoritative, informed tone. Great
use of sound. Valot‘s work is some of the best we‘ve heard.
2nd Place: Brian Watt: KPCC
HM: Kitty Felde: KPCC
A5. ONLINE JOURNALIST

2nd Place: Chris Hedges, Truthdig.com
HM: Robert Scheer, Truthdig.com
A6. SPORTS JOURNALIST

A7. ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST
Kim Masters, KCRW-FM Radio
Comments: Nice voice in both senses of the word, along with substantive
content. Covering a story about outed CIA agent Valerie Plame, she
tracked down Plame to comment on her portrayal, rather than just talking
to the actress. She also gave a lot of information on entertainment agents
that broadened the picture the public was likely to have of that
occupation.

HM: George Pennacchio, KABC-TV

B1. HARD NEWS
Tracy Manzer and Sarah Peters, Long Beach Press-Telegram, "Heroes foil
bank heist"
Comments: The writing was appropriately-paced for the category and
the story content. I enjoyed the writers' use of sensory details and factual
information, presented with a slightly humorous/sarcastic tone that made
this piece fun to read.
B2. NEWS FEATURE
Patrick Range McDonald, LA Weekly, ―The Parent Trigger‖.
Comments: Documents a groundswell of democracy while explaining a
new law through a real-world prism. Powerful. Incredibly well-sourced and
informative, yet provides a human touch. The story of poor minorities trying
to make a change documented how the masses can move the
establishment. Inspiring to others, this story shows what newspaper do like
no other. Bravo.
2nd Place: Thomas Curven, Los Angeles Times, ―Walking Away from Grief‖
HM: Kristopher Hanson, Long Beach Press-Telegram, ―Dangers Close to

B4. INVESTIGATIVE/SERIES
David Evans, Bloomberg News, "Fallen Soldiers' Families Denied Cash
Payout as Insurers Profit"
Comments: These articles are the soul of great investigative journalism,
uncovering a shocking system whereby the families of slain soldiers are
tricked about benefits, and where shameless insurance companies reap
big profits at the expense of those families.
Best of all, it led to immediate Congressional investigations and action.
2nd place: Beth Barrett, LA Weekly, "The Dance of the Lemons"
HM: Monica Alonzo and Simone Wilson, LA Weekly, "Culture of Cruelty"
B5. BUSINESS
Alana Semuels, Los Angeles Times, "California unfriendly to business?
Figures say no"
Comments: This is an authoritative and well-documented piece that
refutes the common wisdom of California's tax structure being unfriendly
to business.

We Are All Now Terrorist
A commercial fisherman was investigated by police for purchasing a few boxes of ammunition at his local gun store, a shocking example of how Americans are being intimidated out of exercising their second amendment rights even as the federal government buys up bullets in vast quantities. www.youtube.com youtu.be In a You Tube clip, Brian Loftus reveals how on the 28th of August he purchased a few boxes of ammunition from his local gun shop only to receive a phone call later that same evening at 9:30pm from the State Police. The cops said they needed to talk to Loftus because he had "purchased a large amount of ammunition." Loftus said the police told him someone who was in the gun store while he made the purchase who works for the Chief of Police reported Loftus to make sure he "wasn't going to do something crazy." Loftus told the police he had no criminal record, a fact they immediately confirmed having admitted that they had already checked his record. Jennifer Jones: AZ Police Chief Declares Martial Law After Being Exposed on Infowars.com
Alex continues his conversation with Jennifer Jones, the Arizona woman who was arrested for daring to speak her mind during a city hall meeting in the town of Quartzsite. Quartzsite Police Chief Jeff Gilbert has asked the town council to declare a "state of emergency" due to all of the publicity the town has received over the arrest of a reporter at an open meeting in June. The town council voted 5-0 in favor of the action; Mayor Ed Foster did not attend the emergency meeting Sunday afternoon. Gilbert reportedly said the action was needed because Jennifer Jones was "inciting riots" after videos of her arrest at the meeting sprung up across the Internet. It was not immediately clear what outside assistance, if any, Gilbert seeks to enforce the state of emergency. www2.az-independent.com thedesertfreedompress.blogspot.com www.infowars.com www.prisonplanet.tv www.infowars.net www.prisonplanet.com

China Focus - Wang Lijun's Unreported Background
Most people know Wang Lijun, the police chief in Chongqing who fled to the US consulate in February, as just that a Police Chief. But very few knew that he was also involved in something very different to police work, something more a medical doctor would do. No, Wang himself is not a doctor and has no medical degree, but from 2003 through 2008, Wang was not only the Party Secretary of the Jinzhou Public Security Bureau in Liaoning province, he was also in charge of the police department's so-called On-Site Psychology Research Center. There he proudly oversaw thousands of organ transplants from executed prisoners, and personally conducted psychological experiments on them. In this episode of China Focus, we discuss why this side of Wang Lijun is something that China's state-run media are now trying to downplay--because it may relate to the scandal involving ousted Chinese official Bo Xilai and his wife, Gu Kailai.
