Tehran Stock Exchange hits a new record
Tehran Stock Exchange's overall index hits record high. Investors analyze world and domestic economic news, take an educated risk and invest in the stock market, with luck on their side. In the last few months, the price of dollar has seen a hike in Iran's foreign exchange currency market. This translates to more revenue for companies that export. The deputy of Tehran Stock Exchange says the hike in dollar prices is not the only reason that has contributed to Tehran Stock Exchange overall index. He added that the rise in Tehran Stock Exchange Index is not a bubble. Stock brokers here say that this is a good market. They say that the statistics published in this area is confirmed by international watchdog institutions The first rule of the market is that not everyone wins Officials say that there are 326 companies in 37 different types of industries in Tehran Stock Exchange. They add that Iran's Stock Exchange is worth 138000 trillion Rials and the daily transactions are worth around 120 trillion Rials. Companies showing the most profit, are mostly in pharmaceutical, petrochemical and steel businesses.

Tehran Conference belies US Syria claims: Webster Tarpley
An Iranian lawmaker says the United States seeks to downplay Iran's crucial role in resolving the Syrian crisis. Mohammad Saleh Jokar made the remark in response to the US reaction to Iran's holding of a recent consultative meeting on Syria. Iran hosted the day-long meeting on Thursday, August 7 to discuss the Syrian unrest. The gathering was attended by officials and representatives from nearly 30 countries. The United States dismissed the importance of the conference and criticized the Islamic Republic for supporting the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government. Non-Aligned Movement conference in Tehran
This week Iran witnessed maybe one of the biggest international gatherings in its history. Representatives from more than 120 countries came for the 16th summit of the non-aligned-movement; movement that, after the United Nations, has the most members. Such a big event has warranted a lot of preparation on Iran's part. Iran's police have deployed 110 thousand security forces, and a lot of office buildings across the capital have been close for at least five days. In the run up to the NAM summit in Tehran western and Israeli media strove to downplay the significance of the event. Nevertheless state officials from more than 50 countries came to Tehran. Iran has been a member for 33 years but this is the first time it will be assuming the presidency of the Non-Aligned-Movement. In this edition of the show we'll be talking about the NAM summit in Tehran, and discussing NAM's doctrine and goals in general. The latest terror attack bears the hallmark of a 2010 attack that killed Majid Shahriari, a university lecturer, in Tehran. He was on his way to work early Wednesday morning, January 11, when two men on a motorbike attached a sticky bomb to his car. Ahmadi Roshan was killed immediately. Despite what all the media are yammering at you, despite all the fear mongering about Iran's "nuclear threat" (Iran has been fully verified by the IAEA and ALL the U.S. intelligence community agree and are on record that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons), despite talk that Iran is intolerant, despite the daily barrage of bad press and unpleasant innuendo, Iran is a great country, friendly, cultured, fun and spiritually-minded!
