Channel 2 or TV 2 may refer to:
Israeli News Company (Hebrew: חֵבְרָת הַחדָשוֹת הישראלית - Hevrat HaHadashot HaYisra'elit), which is shortly called "The News Company" ("חברת החדשות" - Hevrat HaHadashot) and also known as חדשות ערוץ 2 lit. [Israeli] channel 2 news, or חדשות 2 lit. News 2) is an Israeli company producing the Prime time news program on the Israeli commercial Channel 2, and most of its current affairs and news programs and items for that commercial channel.
The company is financed by its two concessionaires, Keshet and Reshet (and In the past was also by Telad). The company's Prime time news program receives high ratings relatively to its competitors on other channels. Its main news program on prime time hour is currently presented by Yonit Levi, and Danny Kushmaro, and is the most watched program in a decade (In addition to being the first prime time news program on an Israeli commercial channel), and due to its high ratings, the program's presenters, reporters and commentators, past and present, have become known figures in Israel that are being identified with the term "current affairs".
WGRZ, virtual channel 2 (UHF digital channel 33), is an NBC-affiliated television station located in Buffalo, New York, United States. The station is owned by Tegna. WGRZ maintains studios located at 259 Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo, and its transmitter is located at 11530 Warner Hill Road in South Wales, New York.
WGRZ carries the following programming:
WGRZ-DT2 was affiliated with NBC Weather Plus until that network shut down in December 2008, and aired a locally originated "Weather Plus" channel between that time and June 2009. The DT2 channel then switched to Universal Sports, which it carried through the end of 2011.
Retro Television Network was previously seen on WGRZ-DT3. The 2.3 channel was removed in September 2011 with no replacement in order to provide better picture quality to both the DT2 and the main WGRZ signal; the DT3 subchannel had never gained significant cable carriage and by that time, much of the programming was being duplicated by WBBZ-TV. Although the DT2 subchannel has achieved significant cable penetration dating to its time as a Weather Plus outlet, Universal Sports itself converted to a cable and satellite-only service in January 2012 as part of Comcast's overhaul of the NBC Sports division. WGRZ-DT2 then became an affiliate of Antenna TV, competing with WBBZ-TV. The DT2 subchannel returned to weather on January 1, 2014, affiliating with WeatherNation TV with the local branding StormTeam 2 WeatherNation; Antenna TV then moved to a reactivated DT3.
Buffalo (or buffaloe) may refer to:
New York is a state in the Northeastern United States and is the United States' 27th-most extensive, fourth-most populous, and seventh-most densely populated state. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south and Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border in the Atlantic Ocean with Rhode Island, east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Quebec to the north and Ontario to the west and north. The state of New York, with an estimated 19.8 million residents in 2015, is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City, the state's most populous city and its economic hub.
With an estimated population of nearly 8.5 million in 2014, New York City is the most populous city in the United States and the premier gateway for legal immigration to the United States. The New York City Metropolitan Area is one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world. New York City is a global city, exerting a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment, its fast pace defining the term New York minute. The home of the United Nations Headquarters, New York City is an important center for international diplomacy and has been described as the cultural and financial capital of the world, as well as the world's most economically powerful city. New York City makes up over 40% of the population of New York State. Two-thirds of the state's population lives in the New York City Metropolitan Area, and nearly 40% live on Long Island. Both the state and New York City were named for the 17th century Duke of York, future King James II of England. The next four most populous cities in the state are Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse, while the state capital is Albany.

Station ID's, Newsbriefs and a Promo from March 1989 featuring talent who no longer work at WGRZ-TV, Channel 2 Buffalo. They are: Wes Gorforth (Sports), Allison Rosetti (News), Barry Lillis (Weather and features), and Don Postles (News). The voiceover announcer I believe is the late Frank Benn from WGR Radio 550 AM. One of the news topics in the brief was concern over the operation of the Broadway Market, (an ethnic market on the east side of Buffalo) outside of Easter Week when this played back. It was true in 1989, and is still true 25+ years later. Just shows you that everything old is new again, especially when covering television news in the Buffalo, New York television market.
WGRZ-TV (NBC) has long been the home of the #2 ranked newscast in Buffalo but has been making gains thanks to its aggressive approach of "holding people in power accountable" and "asking the tough questions". WGRZ used Gari Communications' "Image News" package along with these graphics beginning in 1998, before switching to the standardized Gannett graphics/music package on October 21, 2008.
