Bagshot (Disambiguation)
Aside from the fact that some of the shots make it look like I'm wearing hot pink lipstick (I'm not!)... I really like how this one turned out. Here's a link to the Wikipedia article: en.wikipedia.org In the last video I passed a rule which states if a disambiguation page comes up I have to include every given meaning or usage on the page. As such this song turned out to be a bunch of different verses without any kind of chorus, but I think it's a legitimate effort. I think we can probably break the "at least 2 verses and one chorus" rule for disambiguation pages. This was recorded at home and filmed in Lakewood Park. Thanks to Sam (www.smevdesign.co.uk) for doing the WikiRiffs logo. Lyrics Bagshot is a Surrey town, had trouble with highwaymen way back when Now people protested when the bank shut down but it wasn't enough to save it then There's a cricket club and a football team, and a village plan with a community theme And if you're a mountain biker or an enthusiastic hiker Swinley Forest (or Bagshot Heath) will feed your habits and far beneath are the Bagshot beds, consisting of sand, loam and clay And to this day they stretch right to the sea displaying interesting geology... At Bagshot park they've got a sense of humour I'm pretty sure this isn't just an unfounded rumour There's a sign by the pond that says "Please do not walk on the water", it says "Please do not walk on the water"! Well done to the folks who put it there because that's hilarious. There was a witch ...

Samuel G - Essential Disambiguation - Original Music (HD)
PLEASE READ! After over a month of consistent work, I present my first full length multi-instrumental track! I consider this song to be a bit of a rite of passage in my musical 'career' and I feel I've matured from cover artist to an amateur and more 'true' musician. Everything was built and mastered within Ableton Live 8 (from drums to keys and the extra noises in between). Download for free under the tracks tab on my soundcloud page! soundcloud.com The premise of the song comes from exploring the idea of God more than a crisis of faith. I titled this piece with the intention of holding two meanings. In the first, 'essential' means 'needed', ie the idea of the afterlife and God must be clarified (disambiguated). Too often I find myself biting my tongue when discussing my religious beliefs, and I feel a victim of a double standard when people are welcomed to preach theirs. Therefore, I think it essential to challenge the belief in order to further clarify and understand the question 'what is God?'. Growth comes from facing the difficult. I'm always attracted to discussing faith with deep believers in order to mutually inspire thought and progress. 'Essential' can also refer to the 'essence', or soul, which create the title's second meaning. What is a soul? Is there something ethereal inside all of us or are we just animated organisms stimulated by electric currents? If God exists, I think the soul would be the closest relation that we humans could ever have to something ...

Monkey (disambiguation)
A monkey is a primate of the Haplorrhini suborder and simian infraorder, either an Old World monkey or a New World monkey, but excluding apes. There are about 260 known living species of monkey. Many are arboreal, although there are species that live primarily on the ground, such as baboons. Monkeys are generally considered to be intelligent. Unlike apes, monkeys usually have tails. Tailless monkeys may be called "apes", incorrectly according to modern usage; thus the tailless Barbary macaque is called the "Barbary ape". The New World monkeys (super-family Ceboidea) are classified within the parvorder of Platyrrhini, whereas the Old World monkeys (superfamily Cercopithecoidea) form part of the parvorder Catarrhini, which also includes the hominoids (apes, including humans). Thus, as Old World monkeys are more closely related to hominoids than they are to New World monkeys, the monkeys are not a unitary (monophyletic) group. Historical and modern terminology: According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word "monkey" may originate in a German version of the Reynard the Fox fable, published circa 1580. In this version of the fable, a character named Moneke is the son of Martin the Ape. n English, no very clear distinction was originally made between "ape" and "monkey"; thus the 1910 Encyclopædia Britannica entry for "ape" notes that it is either a synonym for "monkey" or is used to mean a tailless humanlike primate. Such confusions persist. Colloquially, the terms ...

This talk was a Pecha Kucha from Session RF3 at Open Repositories 2012 (or2012.blogs.edina.ac.uk Researcher Identifiers and National Federated Search Portal for Japanese Institutional Repositories - Kei Kurakawa, National Institute of Informatics, Japan. This paper was originally proposed by: Kei Kurakawa, Hideaki Takeda, Ryo Shiozaki, National Institute of Informatics, Japan, and Shun Morimoto, Hideki Uchijima, Kanazawa University Library, Japan We reported the project to identify authors in JAIRO (Japanese Institutional Repository Online), national federated search portal for Japanese institutional repositories. In order to identify authors, we made name disambiguation framework along with the nature of repository systems installed in Japanese institutions. Researcher Name Resolver functions as a name authority for JAIRO, which holds an author IDs mapping table for local institutional author IDs to interconnect with global author IDs. Complete name disambiguation bring us a new feature of JAIRO that shows grouping items of an author by several viewpoints. We are going to spread our ideas and practice for global audience in Japan.

Disambiguation is an experimental video. If sounds were logically orchestrated together, the viewer expects or demands what he or she should see. The purpose of this one-minute time based media is to challenge the viewer’s expectations with sound and image relations. The video is open for various interpretations. Graphic, rhythmic, temporal and spatial relations within frames were explored through the use of abstract footages. Disambiguation breaks rules and strives to deplete sense. It is designed to create visual stimulation.

Disambiguation
Disambiguation (2004 (2011)) is a programmed 3D environment, projected onto a large plexiglass screen, in which complex semantic processes are experienced in real time. A multitude of slowly moving news headlines forms the textual space, a vast sign system circumscribed by a set of formal and algorithmic rules setting the stage for serious word play.
In the field of computational linguistics, word-sense disambiguation is an analytical task in natural language processing used to reduce the ambiguity and inevitable plurality of meaning of each word in a given sentence. A series of algorithms attempt to isolate "the" meaning, or the specific intention of a particular usage within the context of a singular phrase.
In the work Disambiguation, each word, on the contrary, explores all of its polysemic potential. A word's current position in a phrase is always temporary, briefly revealing but one aspect of its ability to generate meaning. At any given moment, a word or word group can detach itself from a phrase, traverse space and incorporate itself into another, all the while conforming to correct grammatical, morphological and syntactic rules in accord with the aforementioned grammatical analysis. Each new text formed thus maintains and permutates upon its original underlying structure, allowing for meaning to constantly proliferate and shift.
Over time, the deliberately factual or "neutral" wordings of the dispatches, conceived of as simple statements or vessels carrying information, open up to all their latent indeterminateness, and to a conception of language as a material process, a continuous play of signifiers.

The horrors (disambiguation), an acute episode of delirium that is usually caused by withdrawal or abstinence... thehorrors.co.uk The Horrors are a British garage rock band who formed in the summer of 2005. They released their debut album Strange House, which reached #37 on the UK Charts, on March 5 of 2007. They have polarised opinion in the popular music scene by their unusual choice of apparel and obscure musical inspirations. The Horrors have their origin in the early 2000s where they became interested in obscure vinyl and DJing. During trips to London and on the Southend circuit, Rhys Webb met Faris Badwan and Tom Cowan, who had attended Rugby School together, through their shared interests in 60s garage rock, and, in 2005, the three formed a band with Joshua Hayward and Joseph Spurgeon. The band formed around Junkclub, an underground club founded by Oliver Abbott and Rhys. Their first rehearsal consisted of two covers: The Sonics' "The Witch" and Screaming Lord Sutch's "Jack the Ripper" (heavily influenced by previous cover versions by The Fuzztones, One-Way Streets and The Gruesomes) - the latter would eventually find itself as track one on the band's debut album. Having released Strange House, their debut album, in March 2007, The Horrors played a world tour to promote it. A slot as a support act for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in the USA in the summer was cancelled due to lack of funds[3], and the band instead headlined a US tour in June.
