Exotic and Unusual Pets - Kinkajou
Exotic Pets - Kinkajou - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. This is a kinkajou. Kinkajous come from South America. They are a member of the raccoon family. They are very loving, they are very active. They are very jumpy, and they like to play and run around a lot. And they are herboreal, and they have a prehensile tail that helps them climb. They eat fruits and vegetables in the wild, a little bit of meat. Every once in a while, they might catch a bug. They like bananas, pears, apples, and we feed them a thing called monkey biscuits. This is a baby. They get about twice as big as this. And in captivity, they make very very very good pets. They are very loving, and they are very playful. It is usually better to have them fixed as adults, if you are not planning on breeding them. This keeps them even more loving and more calm. You need to check your regulations where you live, and make sure that you do not need a permit, or if these are allowed. This is probably, everything good about a monkey without any of the bad things about a monkey. And they like to be played with, loved, cuddled. And then when you are done with them, you put them back in their very big cage, and they go to sleep. And they actually like that too. It is like having a big live teddy bear in your house. I like these a lot, and they are very fun.

My Sisters Kinkajou
This is My Sisters new pet. It's a Kinkajou. This will explain what it is.... Kinkajoukĭng'kəjoo′, nocturnal, arboreal mammal, Potos flavus, found from Mexico to Brazil and related to the raccoon. It has a long, slender body with soft, short, woolly hair of any of various shades of brown or yellow. Its tail is prehensile and is used to grasp branches when the animal climbs. Kinkajous also have a long extrudable tongue, possibly used to reach nectar and honey. The kinkajou spends most of its time in trees. It eats insects, fruits, and honey and is sometimes called honey-bear, a name also applied to a true bear of SE Asia. Kinkajous are classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Mammalia, order Carnivora, family Procyonidae.

Christmas surprise, getting a kinkajou
Christmas day, my mom surprised me with a kinkajou, the animal I wanted for 2 years now. This is my reaction. SUBSCRIBE PLEASE :) *Please do not post negative comments. I uploaded this video for kinkajou lovers out there, not people who are just going to Troll around and use nasty language* Thankyou :) - I know my sister was screaming "Dalmation, Dalmation, Etc." she just had a little sibling jealousy at the time. If you have 4 siblings or more (like me) you know how it can get sometimes. She was fine after about 10 min.

Riku the Kinkajou Gets a Bath...and It's Not Pretty
So although I show a very cute and cuddly aspect of these creatures as pets it's time for a realistic as well as funny video of him getting a bath. Yes, these creatures are a lot of work and most of the time after a bath my arms get scratched up but I enjoy him nonetheless and if you are considering getting one I urge you to really see what these animals encompass as a whole as it can be difficult sometimes.
