Nearly $9.5 million was spent in total on the Senate race between incumbent Democrat U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and Republican challenger Josh Mandel in October.
Ohio ranks No. 4 in the nation for most money spent on advertising in U.S. Senate races in Ocotober, according to a study released Wednesday by the Wesleyan Media Project.
Nearly $9.5 million was spent in total on the Senate race between incumbent Democrat U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and Republican challenger Josh Mandel in October.
Democrats have spent the most in the Brown/Mandel race with $5.1 million to the Republican spending of $4.3 million for the period from Oct. 1 to Oct. 21, according to the report.
Virginia was tops in the nation for spending in Senate races for the month with $14 million.
