Colin Dodds - Debit Credit Theory (Accounting Rap Song)
Educational rap for a high school accounting course Get it on iTunes: itunes.apple.com Yo, yo, you wanna be an accountant? Think it over, It ain't easy, you might need a four leaf clover. If you ain't willing to work hard, then can it - It's the most sought after job on this planet. Now, you tell me you wanna be an impartial judge of my solvency? Now, you tell me you wanna protect the world from corporate fraudulency? Now, all that sounds like fun, son, but you gotta walk before you can run. To know what these numbers mean you gotta know the debit credit theory! Debits on the left, credits on the right, Debit left! Credit right! Debit left! Credit right! For complete satisfaction, Balance all of your transactions. So, if you really wanna know, 'bout your cash flow, where your money go? Then give in to the temptation, Understand the fundamental accounting equation. An asset increasing is a debit, An asset decreasing is a credit. The reverse is true for liabilities and equity, If you get this then you get accountancy! You ain't born a high roller, gotta work your way up to controller. Video by: Mike Withers and Colin Dodds Song by: Colin Dodds Much thanks to: Mike Withers, Dave, Alex, Besh, Jonathan, Ryan, Sascha, Shannon

Credit vs. Debit -- Why CREDIT IS BETTER
Jon shares some financial advice as to why credit cards are entirely better than their debit counterparts for four main reasons: 1) Credit is safer; 2) They build your credit history; 3) They're required for special purchases like car rentals, and 4) they earn you points and cash-back rewards. Obviously, this entire argument is based on the assumption that your spending habits are equal with both: and you never spend more than you have available in your checking account. This discussion is mainly directed to Americans, aged 18 or older, where this advice applies most directly/accurately. Netspend Debit Card - Free $20 referral bonuses for everyone you refer!
Signup Free at www.mynetspendcard.com?uref=8669768247 When you click the link above and sign-up for your free Netspend Debit Card you will receive the card in 10 days or so. Activate it and then add at least $40 to your account using one of the many options available on-line or through local retailers. You will receive a $20 bonus for loading your first $40 and I will receive a $20 bonus for referring you once you load your first $40. You can then refer family and friends and receive $20 referral fees every time someone signs up! Now this may not sound like much but in fact it can add up quickly! An extra $20 never hurt anyone and Netspend is happy to pay for the referral fee! So why use Netspend? For me personally I want to control "automated payments" that I set-up on-line and I do not want to use my bank card or PayPal card for many of the on-line transactions I do. In addition since I load the amount I want to use I control how much I can spend in certain areas and this helps me to also protect against loss in the event my card is stolen! So please go to http and sign-up today! You will be glad you did! This is also a great way to "work from home" and earn real money ethically and honestly! On Facebook; www.facebook.com

Debits and Credits (Financial Accounting Series)
In this financial accounting tutorial I delve into the importance of using debits and credit within the double entry accounting system. All accounts in your business (cash, revenues etc.) constantly change, and in order to increase or decrease the balances of these accounts we must debit or credit them through journal entries (which we will learn about). Essentially, debits increase account balances on the left side of the accounting equation while credits decrease left side balances. Credits increase account balances on the right side while debits decrease right side balances. Subscribe: www.youtube.com ** Ninjanotes is privately owned and exclusive to ninjanotes.ca. UK chip and pin credit / debit cards are insecure (11Feb10)
A not totally unsurprising development from those that look at security, the supposedly secure chip and pin facility in UK credit and debit cards is easily broken and fraudulent transactions are easily made. Unsurprisingly, the useless UK banks say it's not our problem. The chip and pin system was designed to offload blame for fraud onto the customer away from the banks that enable the fraud in the first place. And now with RFID in UK credit and debit cards, fraud will be even easier and impossible to dispute. Recorded from Newsnight, 11 February 2010.

Credit or Debit? TELL ME!
FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER! www.twitter.com I HATE credit cards. I recommend that EVERYONE should pay cash money! Remember the borrower is slave to the lender. Whenever I buy something and they ask me Credit or Debit? I never know what to say. Even though it says very clearly on my card DEBIT! I usually switch it up trying to determine which one will get me the hey out of there the fastest. Im going to say CREDEBIT from now on!
