Bansi is a city and a municipal board in Siddharthnagar district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. (Not to be confused with Baansi)
It is the first developed town of the Siddharthnagar district (a.k.a. Naugarh). Before Naugarh (Sidharthnagar) was declared as a new district, the proposed name of the new district around Naugarh was 'Madhavnagar'.
The local municipal corporation tried to do everything possible for the development of Bansi. At that time this was an all-purpose hub the area covered by three districts Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar and Gorakhpur.
This town still faces a lot of challenge related to transportation, roads, water, employment, etc. though often efforts are made for improvement in these sectors.
Bansi is located at the bank of river Rapti at24°52′N 78°29′E / 24.87°N 78.48°E / 24.87; 78.48. It has an average elevation of 370 metres (1213 feet).
As of 2001[update] India census, Bansi had a population of 35,628. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Bansi has an average literacy rate of 54%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 18% of the population is under 6 years of age. The current population of Bansi city is around 80000 and this city is famous for its educational hub in Siddharth Nagar district.Bansi is feel proud of having DIET,Navodaya Vidyalay,Mangal Bazar,Rani Ganj Market and 3 forts spread around the city.

Die Bansi der alten Minangkabaukultur, wird als Medium magischer Praktiken, dem sogenanten "Pitunang" verwendet. Als Herstelungmaterial werden die Bambussorten Talang oder Sariak (33cm länge und 3 cm Durchmesser), verwendet. Gespielt von Pandeka Mihar. http://www.pandeka.com/ ---------------------------------------- The Minangkabau people are an ethnic group from Western Sumatra and they have a lot of very interesting cultural traits. One of the most cited facets of their culture is the fact that they are the largest matrilineal society. While they are also Islamic, they remain quite engaged with their own traditions (prior the arrival of Islam), a fusion of Hinduism, Buddhism and Animistic ( Palbegu )Majusi beliefs. Their architecture is also quite striking, as you can see also in this channel. This video was taken in Ensemble Theater Vienna during dress rehearsal annual gala from Pandeka Mihar Institut on november 30th 2008. http://www.pandeka.com/ ---------------------------------------- Alunan saluang dari seruas bambu itu begitu mendayu seolah menggugah rindu perantau pada kampung halamannya di ranah minang. Padahal alat musik itu sangat sederhana, hanya seruas bambu dengan tiga, empat dan enam lubang nada. Namun di tangan seniman yang ahli ditambah dengan sedikit mantra dan jampi-jampi akan menggugah hati yang mendengarnya, terlebih bila ditujukan pada anak muda yang dimabuk asmara atau kerinduan. Saluang adalah alat musik tiup tradisional dari Sumatera Barat. Terbuat dari sejenis bambu/ Talang pilihan yang tipis,setelah melalui beberapa pengolahan menjadi berwarna kuning gading. Dimainkan dengan ringan dengan satu atau dua pendendang. Ada tiga jenis Saluang: Saluang darek , Saluang Sirompak dan Saluang Pauah dari daerah Padang perbukitan Alat musik ini sering dimainkan seorang pemuda/ pemudi untuk melepas kerinduan, pelipur lara, atau pelepas lelah. Suaranya mengalun indah seperti udara di pegunungan. Sedangkan di daerah pesisir Sumatera Barat lebih dikenal Bansi yang mirip Saluang. Plot: As Pandit Shyam Sunder prayed in Bhagwan Shivji's temple on the occasion of Janamashtami, his wife gives birth to a daughter, Rupa, and passes away, leaving her child to bear the brunt of being an ill-omen. Years later, Rupa burns her face from a frying pot, thus disfiguring the right side of her face completely, so much so that when she matures, the scar being so hideous, that no one in the village nor surrounding area wants to marry her. Then an Engineer named Rajeev arrives from Bombay, he approaches Shyam Sunder to seek his permission and blessings, so that he can marry Rupa. Protesting strongly, Rupa is asked to marry Rajeev and re-locate to his house. When Rajeev finds out that his wife is disfigured, he refuses to have to do anything with her. Then one day when he returns from a trip out of town, he is told that Rupa is expecting his child. Watch what impact this has on Rajiv and what he does to expose Rupa in the community.

The question remains who is this male, and why is he claiming to be Chanda's husband?

Hilarious chaos reigns when Maya assaults her cruel mother-in-law, and Ratan abducts Jaya from her marriage with Shiv.

Die Bansi der alten Minangkabaukultur, wird als Medium magischer Praktiken, dem sogenanten "Pitunang" verwendet. Als Herstelungmaterial werden die Bambussorten Talang oder Sariak (33cm länge und 3 cm Durchmesser), verwendet.

The Minangkabau people are an ethnic group from Western Sumatra and they have a lot of very interesting cultural traits. One of the most cited facets of their culture is the fact that they are the largest matrilineal society. While they are also Islamic, they remain quite engaged with their own traditions (prior the arrival of Islam), a fusion of Hinduism, Buddhism and Animistic ( Palbegu )Majusi beliefs.
Their architecture is also quite striking, as you can see also in this channel.
This video was taken in Ensemble Theater Vienna during dress rehearsal annual gala from Pandeka Mihar Institut on november 30th 2008.

Alunan saluang dari seruas bambu itu begitu mendayu seolah menggugah rindu perantau pada kampung halamannya di ranah minang. Padahal alat musik itu sangat sederhana, hanya seruas bambu dengan tiga, empat dan enam lubang nada.
Namun di tangan seniman yang ahli ditambah dengan sedikit mantra dan jampi-jampi akan menggugah hati yang mendengarnya, terlebih bila ditujukan pada anak muda yang dimabuk asmara atau kerinduan.
Saluang adalah alat musik tiup tradisional dari Sumatera Barat. Terbuat dari sejenis bambu/ Talang pilihan yang tipis,setelah melalui beberapa pengolahan menjadi berwarna kuning gading. Dimainkan dengan ringan dengan satu atau dua pendendang. Ada tiga jenis Saluang: Saluang darek , Saluang Sirompak dan Saluang Pauah dari daerah Padang perbukitan
Alat musik ini sering dimainkan seorang pemuda/ pemudi untuk melepas kerinduan, pelipur lara, atau pelepas lelah. Suaranya mengalun indah seperti udara di pegunungan.
Sedangkan di daerah pesisir Sumatera Barat lebih dikenal Bansi yang mirip Saluang. Sama-sama terbuat dari jenis bambu/ Talang atau Sariak tipis, lebih pendek dari Saluang. Namun nada yang dimainkan lebih meriah. Mungkin untuk mengalahkan suara deburan ombak di pesisir atau membuat ikan menjadi jinak. (padangkini2008yanti)

For people who are not used to Trekking, it is a difficult trekking route of about 4.8 km length and 900 meter uphill, but not dangerous. If you are visiting Bhutan, Physically and Mentally Fit, then visit to Tiger's Net is a must. Also if you get a good guide to tell you stories associated with it, your joy will be multiplied. I visited this monastery on 1st January 2016. The weather was cold and hence we could enjoy it most. It is not advisable to hike in rainy season, as the muddy path will become slipper as well. -

There was a couple from brighton staying next door.. one morning me and the guy decided we'd climb the gros piton, he'd bring drinking heavily the night before as it was valentines day, i however decided to dodge the love struck couples out in town and had an early night.. anyway we turned up and met a friendly guide for the piton outside the start of the trail who had already finished for the day, she told sneakily told us you don't have to pay for a guide if you take the long walmk down to the beach and start from lower down, i went to the interpretation centre to ask if i can pay a small fee to let us start the trail from where we were but the girl there was pretty rude and told us we would have to pay 35us dollars to go with a guide. I left thinking she wasn't too helpful and walked down to the beach to start the trail up the well beaten path to the top, halfway up i met another rude guide who on her way down and was shouting to us "you are breaking the law, don't break the law!" "you have to pay, don't break the law" i told her that i,d offered to pay an admission fee of 10ec but still wasn't happy.. anyway we trugded on to the top for the amazing view, it took us an hour and 45minutes of to get up from the sea level and maybe and hour and a half of knee crunching back down to the interpretation centre.. i felt bad about not paying as i'm " ...

Tiger Nest or Taktshang Monastery in Paro, Bhutan offers a Unique Trekking experience. For people who are not used to Trekking, it is a difficult trekking route of about 4.8 km length and 900 meter uphill, but not dangerous.
If you are visiting Bhutan, Physically and Mentally Fit, then visit to Tiger's Net is a must. Also if you get a good guide to tell you stories associated with it, your joy will be multiplied.
I visited this monastery on 1st January 2016. The weather was cold and hence we could enjoy it most. It is not advisable to hike in rainy season, as the muddy path will become slipper as well.
