Scratch Acid - Albino Slug
Scratch Acid was an Austin, Texas noise rock group formed in 1982. When they first began, their lineup was Steve Anderson (vocals), David Wm. Sims (guitar), Brett Bradford (guitar), David Yow (bass), and Rey Washam (drums). Anderson was kicked out of the band before the band ever recorded an album, prompting Yow to move to vocals and Sims to move to bass. Scratch Acid's first two albums were released by Texas indie record label Rabid Cat, the third and final release, Berserker EP by Touch and Go Records. A posthumous compilation CD entitled The Greatest Gift, was released by Touch and Go Records in 1991. After developing a reputation as a crazy, noisy punk band, Scratch Acid disbanded in 1987. According to the liner notes of The Greatest Gift, the band members never received compensation from either Rabid Cat or Fundamental Records (who distributed their releases in Europe). Brett Bradford went on to form Colorado punk band Great Caesar's Ghost. They disbanded in 1993. He also formed Sangre De Toro and played with Areola 51. Washam went on to perform with many other bands, including the Big Boys, Ministry, Helios Creed, the Didjits, Lard, and Tad. In 1987, Sims and Washam joined Steve Albini in the band Rapeman, which disbanded just before Sims reunited with Yow in 1989 to form the Jesus Lizard.

People Sound - Noise Rock - Metro Decadent or Decadent Underground (HD)
Band: la chanson de Roland Song: Metro Decadent or Decadent Underground This video has been mounted in 5 minutes. I could mount it more seriously and, more pictures and column effects, but what interested me was to hear the song. The initial part of the playback is out of sync but what was wanted. The song was not ever made .. It 'was only played once. We improvised during a rehearsal, then recorded live in the hall last year. In two of us playing it live, drums and bass. If I were to give a structure would let him so sincerely. Place and shorten only the end. 5 minutes are not many cmq a song is not represented or does not work based on time. These 5 minutes seem like a lot because the video is empty and lacks many things. I could add more pictures, but I mounted a few minutes settling for losing those few good sounds in the right frame, in fact if you listen to the song there are good moments with good connections "audio and video," but it is full of the same mistakes, I did not care to make a video also perfect because I repeat the song you know very well that it is a masterpiece. I just wanted to draw the attention of you all and I did. Perhaps farCome usual is just a rough draft of moderately successful. What can we do that's just me. Maybe I will never carry out a good product, this is my character harmful and delusional. Everything is relative. Questo video è stato montato in 5 minuti. Avrei potuto montarlo meglio e seriamente; montanto altre immagini ed effetti ...

Teaser: "The Island" - La Palma Time Lapse Video
Featured on National Geographic: http://newswatch.nationalgeographic.com/2011/08/15/new-astro-timelapse-video-the-island-showcases-astronomy-haven/ thanks to NG, awesome!
Imagine the world's largest volcanic erosion crater. Then imagine an island with an incredible area to height ratio: low area of 708 square km and the 12 km wide "caldera de taburiente" with it's 2445 m high roque de los muchachos peak... or the near 2000 m high Deseada volcanic twin peaks on the ruta de los Volcanes... Combine that with beautiful starry skies - and you have La Palma (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Palma).
My new TimeLapse project "The Island" is dedicated to this beautiful and lovely Island of the Canaries... Note: this is my second TL project, the first one - "Black Hole Sun" - was reviewed nicely on NAT GEO daily news http://newswatch.nationalgeographic.com/2011/05/26/new-mountain-timelapse-a-soundgarden-of-night-lights/)
"The Island" was filmed by me alone during the first week of August 2011, less than 10 hrs sleep the whole week!
Making-of images: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vertrider/sets/72157627278118235/with/6029262243/
About the project:
I have been to Palma many times for mountain biking and hiking in the past and have written some travel articles about the Island which hosts a spanish national park ("Caldera de Taburiente") and a UNESCO biosphere reservate ("Los Tilos Rainforest". It is a little paradise by itself - for nature lovers and hikers with a faible for dramatic landscapes and climatic zones, that change on every meter of ascent / descent.
I always tried to cover the beauty of it's incredible landscape and endemic nature at day and night with still images - a TimeLapse showing it's celestial beauties matched to the dramatic volcanic landscapes was always a dream, that was slowly getting real, after I had finished "Black Hole Sun" and gained knowledge about landscape TimeLapse photography. As a member of the Instructor team of the Austrian Summit Club and Landscape photographer I love to be outdoors in the Mountains anyway at all times. So this project was always welcome!
La Palma has not only beautiful day landscapes to offer, it is one of the top six places on Earth to view the Night skies and hosts the worlds largest single aperture optical telescope (GTC - grantecan, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roque_de_los_Muchachos_Observatory).
Now during a week of new moon I was finally able to cover most of the scenery I had in mind in TimeLapse technique.
About the production: Astrolandscape TimeLapse is equipment intensive. It was one of the most intense experiences ever in regards of
- carrying around the equipment on the volcanic mountains...
- 4 Nikon DLSR (1 x D3s, D700, 2 x D7000)
- 6 Nikon Pro Lenses (10/2.8 DX, 2 x 14-24/2.8, 24-70/2.8, 50/1.4, 24/1.4)
- up to 5 Manfrotto/Tripods
- Stage Zero Dynamic Perception Dolly
- Orion Astronomic Head
- AstroTrac TT320X-AG
- Rechargeable Batteries, Batteries, Batteries
- VauDe Mountaineering Equipment
- Water / Food / iPad with astronomical software*
- RedBull, RedBull, RedBull
- MacBook Pro**
... but it also has been some of the best times enjoying one of the most dramatic landscapes imaginable in all it's beauty, including unforgettable sunsets, moonsets and sunrises, countless meteor streak sightings (I stopped counting after about 50...) and an eternal Milky Way amazingly glowing from the starry night sky.
Other than in Central Europe (see my other project "Black Hole Sun" http://vimeo.com/24149087) on La Palma's Mountains and in the south, one can truly differentiate the Milky Ways dark dust regions just by eye - no camera needed. It is an incredible view, I tried to capture the best I can. Under these starry skies, and this incredible, eternal glowing band of our galaxy, one can feel the time - directly and pure. It is furthemore a totally silent landscape, dark and mysterious. Only noises from time to time are from the wind touching the big century old pine trees making for a very own orchestral sound.
I am for sure not the most religious person, but if you experience this remarkable landscape and the glowing skies above, there is to say that God had a good day when he created La Palma.
But Nature on La Palma can be harsh and dangerous too: it showed it's strengths more than once with strong to severe winds (up to appr. 70 km/h) on the volcanic ridges. While I of course know that staying on the Cumbre Vieja or the Roque at stormy winds is not the best idea - if there is clear sky and you have to take footage on your planned timed/locations, you have to cope with it, no workaround.
This made it partly quite tough to film - add to that the nights alone in darkness with boosting winds. I could only use the tent twice and on the other days had to seek shelter behind rocks. And La Palma's mountains are really DARK, with only the starry sky above. While I am used to stay out alone on the mountains to capture night skies for Ast

1Dmk4 Footage From Sydney New Years Eve 2009
This is a thrown together piece of footage I took with Canon's new 1Dmk4 which I had the chance to have a play with for a few days thanks to Ben Walton from Team Digital in Perth Western Australia.
I was off on True North again to capture some highlights of their Sydney Rocks cruise for New Years. I packed the 5Dmk2 and of course the Brand Spanking New 1Dmk4.
The pressure was on on two levels. One to shoot some nice footage for the owners of True North and Two to do justice to Canon's new super camera. Unfortunately no one told the weather to play ball and it was a dull grey dreary few days in Sydney.
Of course this is great for even light but if your trying to sell beds on boats blue sky wins out everytime. I alternated between the two camera's so I have more footage from this trip but I wanted to show only 1D footage in this edit.
I couldn't really distinguish between the footage of
the two cameras but noticed that the 1Dmk4 footage looked a little softer than the 5D. Maybe it was due to a smaller sensor and shooting 24p. Don't really know but it made me want to favor the 5D more.
The low light capabilities seemed no better than the 5D and as soon as I see noise in my footage I tend not to push the ISO anymore. At around 400 ISO on both cameras the noise to me became unacceptable but a proper test with both cameras in a studio set up would tell the story better.
Would I buy a 1Dmk4 over a 5Dmk2 if it was just to shoot video? Probably not. This was not a true opportunity to test the camera as I had a job to do and stuffing around was not an option. I'll get another chance with this camera in the next few days so maybe I'll set up some better tests.
Enjoy this for what it is. It's not my best work but at least those of you who are looking at this camera may have a better informed decision if considering buying one.
Gear used included 1Dmk4, 5Dmk2, Canon lenses TS-E 17mm f/4, 24mm f1.4, 85mm f/1.2, 400mm f/5.6, Filters etc etc......

http://www.enpiedeguerra.tv/percebeiros/

He has interviewed the Taliban command- ers who killed Spanish soldiers, met with the twelve-year-old hitmen that Colombian druglords exploit as child soldiers, and even accompanied the American Army on some of their most danger- ous military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. His latest TV documentary took him to Eastern Congo, where he covered the conflict between the Congolese Army and the rebels who fight, kill and rape in order to gain the control of the Coltan and Cassiterite mines.
During his time at Sea Bites, Beriain was in charge of producing the story and coordinating all the members in the team. He was the one who convinced everyone to get on board and as a true leader, he turned a group of people who did not know each other into a real team.

SELFKILL "Highway Dawn" - Where are you going music video
About This Music Video:
Somehow, you don't know when and why you need to "plan" for going back to your hometown.
At the same time, you don't know why and when , "Going home" become one of your "Vacation".
So you can't tell the difference between " You are going home" and "You are going to a vacation.
Your hometown seems not that familiar, but you've been growing up there.

About SELFKILL :
SELFKILL is a post-rock band form in 2002 as a trio in Taipei, Taiwan, They released the full-length debut album”雨停了之後? ”(The moment that the rain stops?) in the White Wabbit Record , 2006. The album mixed with gloomy ambience, noise, distorted guitar riffs and melodic basslines. With this album, the band became the first indie band in Taiwan that plays instrument rock nominated by the Best Band of the Year in Golden Melody Awards in 2007. Waiting for many years, SELFKILL release their new album "公路白" (Highway Dawn) in 2012 summer.
