Syria, Homs Daraa - Huge Crazy Bombs Falling on Syrian Cities
The Syrian civil war, also referred to as the Syrian uprising is an ongoing internal armed political conflict in Syria. The conflict began on 15 March 2011 with public demonstrations as part of the wider Arab Spring and developed into a nationwide uprising, and a civil war in 2012. Protesters have demanded the end to nearly five decades of Ba'ath Party rule, as well as the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad. In the spring of 2011, the Syrian government deployed the Syrian Army to quell the uprising. Several cities have been besieged, and soldiers were reportedly ordered to open fire on civilians. According to witnesses, soldiers who refused to open fire on civilians were summarily executed by the Syrian Army. Civilians and army defectors began forming fighting units, and unified under the banner of the Free Syrian Army, fighting in an increasingly organized fashion; however, the civilian component of the armed opposition lacks an organized leadership. The Syrian government characterizes the insurgency as "armed terrorist groups". The argument that the opposition should negotiate with the regime about reform was never popular because of the regime's rejection of compromise and its record of detaining critics. According to various sources, including the United Nations, up to 23335 people have been killed, of which about half were civilians, but also including 11930 armed combatants consisting of both the Syrian army and rebel forces and up to 1840 opposition protesters ...

This video clip is from Daraa and was filmed on July 27, 2012 -- The Free Syria Army led an assault on a local Assad military station and over-ran the station. The man in the video is asking a wounded Assad soldier "why didn't you surrender? Don't Worry - We are all Brothers" ===================== Demonstrations out of Death 27-7-2012 Posted by abeer on July 28th, 2012 A sense of joy in most of Syrian cities overshadowed the death Syrians are living daily, where they were able to go out in demonstrations, which they pledged to continue until the regime is toppled, due to withdrawal of some demilitarization. They went out in 795 demonstrations to renew the revolution's oath, confirm their demands, and color Syria's streets with chants of freedom. Residents of Idlib were determined to continue what our revolution's martyrs has started so they went out in 150 demonstrations; despite the massacres that were committed in the governorate. Despite the fierce military attack on Aleppo and the massacres committed in its neighborhoods demonstrators were determined to go out in 125 demonstrations challenging regime's oppression and violence, followed by Hama with 142 demonstrations despite the heavy military deployment and suffocating security siege in the area. Syria: Dispatches from Daraa
www.hrw.org Syrian authorities have tried to keep the world from getting images or information from the Southern city of Daraa, the scene of a massive government crackdown against protesters. But Syrians have documented abuses with cellphones and cameras and made footage available to Human Rights Watch. This video, narrated by HRW's Nadim Houry, gives a glimpse of what the people of Daraa have endured since protests began there in March. Read the report, "We've Never Seen Such Horror" www.hrw.org

This causes grave concern over the fate of these detainees because of the absolute secrecy of such courts. The survival of detainees in such courts remains unknown until a verdict is issued. The military field court was put into law by Legislative Decree 109 under Hafez Al-Assad in 1968, and all members are from the military. This court has been in place since Assad the elder's time, and was used to hand down death sentences against thousands of detainees. The same court system is being used by the younger Assad to try a number of detainees, including those involved in the nonviolent movement (eg, a group of detainees in Daraya). The Syrian regime recently returned to this system of justice to impose the death penalty, life imprisonment, or long sentences on both civilans and military personnel associated with the revolution. Detainees in these courts are not allowed counsel or witnesses during their trials. No information about the sentences is issued. Sentencing is done only in the Saidnaya military prison, where visitors are prohibited. According to lawyer and activist Anwar Al-Bunni, Anas Al-Chaghri is one of the ...

Ze Hijra Ya Rasulullah
Dillam Paz Murda Aawara
Ze Isyaa. Ya Rasulullah!
My body is dissolving in your separation
And my soul is breaking into pieces. Ya Rasulullah!
Due to my sins, My heart is weak and becoming enticed. Ya Rasulullah!

Choon Soo’e Mun Guzar Aari
Manne Miskeen Zanaa Daari

When you pass by me
Then even in my immense poverty, ecstatically,
I must sacrifice my soul on your blessed sandal. Ya Rasulullah!

Ze Jaame Hubb To Mustam

Nu’mi Goyam Ke Mun Bustum
Sukun Daa. Ya Rasulullah!
I am drowned in the taste of your love
And the chain of your love binds my heart.
Yet I don’t say that I know this language (of love). Ya Rasulullah!

I am worried due to my misdeeds;
And I feel that my sins have blackened my heart. Ya Rasulullah!
I am in distress! I am in distress! I am in distress! Ya Rasulullah!

Live update from Syria's Daraa city
Protesters calling for freedom gathered in capital Damascus and other areas around Syria as security forces ordered journalists to leave a southern city where a brutal weeklong siege on demonstrations killed dozens of people. Al Jazeera's special correspondent, reporting from among the pro-reform demonstrators in the southern city of Daraa, 100 kilometres south of Damascus, said: "No one here is calling for a regime change". "No one here is chanting slogans against the president Bashar al-Assad. The people here say they want freedom, they want reforms."
