A Date with BPH - Prostate Enlargement Symptoms, Causes, Complications, Diagnosis
www.ayurstate.com 1) Providing Phytonutrient Nourishment - Years of stressful living caused damage to your body. To help address this, Ayurstate releases hundreds of phytonutrients that act at the molecular level to promote Prostate Health. 2) Increasing Soy Intake - Researchers believe that the increasing estrogen-to-testosterone ratio brought on by aging is one of the factors that adversely affects the size of the prostate gland. 2 ounces or more of soy in your daily diet will help decrease estrogen levels and restore proper estrogen-to-testosterone ratio that becomes skewed as men get into their 60s and beyond. Good sources of soy include tofu (soybean curd), miso, tempeh, roasted soy nuts, and soy flour or powder. 3) Increasing Selenium Intake - Selenium is essential for good prostate health. Selenium-rich foods include wheat germ, tuna, herring and other seafood and shellfish, beef liver and kidney, eggs, sunflower and sesame seeds, cashews, Brazil nuts, mushrooms, garlic, onions, and kelp. 4) Increasing Zinc Intake - 15 mg of zinc are needed daily for healthy prostate function. Pumpkin seed in the shell, oysters, beans, and nuts are excellent sources of zinc. 5) Minimizing Alcohol Consumption - Alcohol depletes both zinc and vitamin B6 (which is necessary for zinc absorption). 6) Eating Healthy - Eat lots of fruits and vegetables to get the necessary antioxidants in your diet. Avoid saturated fats, sugars and processed foods. High-fat foods like meats and dairy ...

BPH Laser Treatment Options
What is BPH? The gradual enlargement of the prostate is a non-cancerous disease common among aging men. The enlarged prostate can intrude into the urethra causing partial or complete obstruction of urine flow. This condition is referred to as benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH. While BPH is usually not life threatening, it can cause considerable discomfort, with complete obstruction leading to emergency surgery for resolution. Over half of all men over 50 have BPH symptoms, with the percentage growing to 80% of men over 80. Due to the overall aging of society, the number of men seeking treatment over the next 20 years is expected to increase. Why Holmium? Tissue Removal The holmium laser is ideal for precisely and cleanly ablating without charring or overheating tissue. Since the holmium absorption depth is only .5 mm or less, tissue is ablated faster than heat is conducted into surrounding tissue. Holmium energy is delivered in a pulsed mode with each pulse containing enough energy to vaporize the tissue. The vaporized tissue is removed before it can conduct heat, which minimizes thermal damage. The resulting what-you-see-is-what-you-get effect contrasts to the coagulating effects of Nd:YAG and KTP lasers whose wavelengths penetrate deeper and extend below the visible tissue surface. Hemostasis Hemostasis with holmium is remarkably good. Its localized coagulation effect seals the tissue and provides hemostasis superior to electrocautery instruments without producing ...

Prostate Fix-Up, Prostatitis, BPH
Prostate concerns and relief. maintenancemotions.com Another serious video for the men this time. (But on one small fun side note: I used the word "issue," approximately 893 and a half times in this video. Apologies, my GOODNESS!! I think I've been watching my "The Saturdays" music video too much...see my favorites...;-). ANYWAY! Back to seriousness: Prostate problems are spreading more and more world-wide at this point, but they are *unquestionably* in far greater numbers anywhere the western diet is found. Coincidence? I THINK NOT. I will cover chronic prostatitis concerns in the next video, since I kinda left that issue hanging. I won't delve much into prostate cancer in my series, unless some really amazing new surgeries or alternatives come along (and a few are, that are minimally invasive, keeping nerves intact, etc). Regarding the prostate massager, it is not uncommon in many parts of Asia for manual prostate massage to be performed on men for the sake of prostate health. There are a few specialists here in America on the west coast who also specialize in this incredibly effective way of minimizing prostate inflammation and/or discomfort. Often times, inflammation does not coincide with discomfort...and yet the massage, and massager mentioned in this video, can be of great assistance. Yes, it does take a slow getting used to for most men...but becomes much easier to use over time. So let's focus on preventative measures, which this video gives us a great head start ...

BPH Treatment Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy Options Part 1
www.balancedhealthtoday.com http www.balancedhealthtoday.com There are several different ways to treat BPH: Watchful Waiting is often chosen by men who are not bothered by symptoms of BPH. They have no treatment but get regular checkups and wait to see whether or not the condition gets worse. Alpha blockers are drugs that help relax muscles near the prostate and may relieve symptoms. Side effects can include headaches. Also, these medicines sometimes make people feel dizzy, lightheaded, or tired. Alpha blockers are new drugs, so doctors do not know their long term effects. Some common alpha blockers are doxazosin (Cardura), prazosin (Minipress), and terazosin (Hytrin). Finasteride (Proscar) is a drug that inhibits the action of the male hormone testosterone. It can shrink the prostate. Side effects of finasteride include declining interest in sex, problems getting an erection, and problems with ejaculation. Again, because it is new, doctors do not know its long-term effects.
