The Indo-Iranians.wmv
A Brief introduction to the Indo-Iranian Community Members In Mumbai, Some of the Bytes are in Farsi (Persian) which is the language commonly spoken in Iran. It is more of a vox-populi than a full-fledged documentary. These are the personal views of few of the Iranian youth away from their country of origin and most of them are born and brought-up in India. This is the rough cut of the video. Editing can be overlooked.

Faces of Ancient Middle East Part 2 (Ancient Iranians)
Iranian peoples first appear in Assyrian records in the 9th century BCE. In Classical Antiquity they were found primarily in Scythia and Persia (Eastern Europe, Central and Western Asia). They divided into "Western" and "Eastern" branches from an early period, roughly corresponding to the territories of Persia and Scythia, respectively. During Late Antiquity, the Iranian populations of Scythia in the Eurasian Steppe were marginalized and assimilated by Turkic and Slavic migrations. The Scythian language was mostly extinct by the 10th century, with the exception of Ossetic spoken in the northern Caucasus. Various Persian empires flourished throughout Antiquity, and fell to the Islamic conquest in the 7th century. Origins The Iranian languages form a sub-branch of the Indo-Iranian sub-family, which is a branch of the family of Indo-European languages. Having descended from the Proto-Indo-Iranians, the Proto-Iranians separated from the Indo-Aryans early in the 2nd millennium BCE. The Proto-Iranians are traced to the Bactria--Margiana Archaeological Complex, a Bronze Age culture of Central Asia. The area between northern Afghanistan and the Aral Sea is hypothesized to have been the region in which the Proto-Iranians first emerged, following the separation of Indo-Aryan tribes. By the 1st millennium BCE, Medes, Persians, Bactrians and Parthians populated the Iranian plateau, while others such as the Scythians, Sarmatians, Cimmerians and Alans populated the steppes north of the ...

Bactria
Bactria :country in northern Afghanistan, in Antiquity famous for its fierce warriors and its ancient religion, which was founded by the prophet Zarathustra. If there was ever a region that can be described with the old geographical cliché that it is a country of opposites, it must be Bactria. Situated between the Hindu Kush mountain range in the south and the river Oxus (Amudar'ya) in the north, it is essentially an east-west zone that consists of extremely fertile alluvial plains, a hot desert, and cold mountains. Bactria (Bactriana, in Persian, also Bhalika in Arabic and Indian languages, and Ta-Hsia in Chinese) was the ancient Greek name of the country between the range of the Hindu Kush and the Amu Darya (Oxus); its capital, Bactra or Balhika or Bokhdi (now Balkh), was located in what is now Afghanistan. It is a mountainous region with a moderate climate. Water is abundant and the land is very fertile. Bactria was the homeland of Aryan tribes who moved south-west into Iran and into North-Western India around 2500-2000 BC Later it became the north province of the Persian Empire in Central Asia.(Cotterell, 59) It was in these regions, where the fertile soil of the mountainous country is surrounded by the Turanian desert, that the prophet Zarathushtra (Zoroaster) was said to have been born and gained his first adherents. Avestan, the language of the oldest portions of the Zoroastrian Avesta, was once called "old-iranic" which is related to Sanskrit. Today some scholars ...

SHAJARIAN, شجريان ♥♥♥ Golbange 2, گلبانگ ♥♥♥ LYRICS
I like Baba-Taher باوا تاهر words mostly because of the language he used which goes back to many centuries ago (almost 1000 years ago) as he died in 1019 (see wikipedia). However the language of BABA-TAHER باوا تاهر , nowadays is called LORI, KURDISH languages but these languages go back to the SASSANIAN PAHLAVI LANGUAGE which has been a part of INDO-IRANIAN language itself. AVESTAN is the oldest recorded Iranian language which is very close to SANSKRIT LANGUAGE (Indo-Aryan language). We as Iranian should be aware of the killing diseases in our culture (language, beliefs, judgments etc). Sad to say, the more educated we get, the more hostile we become to our Iranian heritage). The mullahs, mosques and religious schools have also had a tremendous role in demolishing Iranian culture (always eliminated the non-muslim culture in Iran). We have to pay more attention to the Iranian languages: Kurdish, Lurish, Baluchi, Mazandarani and other similar languages used in Iran because our "dear" Persian language (spec. used in books, newspapers) has been somehow heavily contaminated by Sa-di, Molavi & Hafez words (they knew nothing about IRAN and even they were proud of using Arabic words). Although their works should remain precious for us in the libraries but we should avoid the non-Iranian words they used (they were partially poisoned of Islamic patterns and Semitic languages). Sure they were not aware of the crime they were doing but only repeated what they had learnt from Arabic ...

I'm Iranian من ايراني هستم
The Iranian peoples are a collection of ethnic groups, defined along linguistic lines as speaking Iranian languages. They are spread across the Iranian plateau, stretching from the Hindu Kush to central Anatolia and from Central Asia to the Persian Gulf - a region that is sometimes termed Greater Iran. Speakers of Iranian languages, however, were once found throughout Eurasia, from the Balkans to western China. As Iranian peoples are not confined to the borders of the current state of Iran, the term Iranic peoples is sometimes used to avoid confusion with the citizens of Iran. The series of ethnic groups which comprise the Iranian peoples are traced to a branch of the ancient Indo-European Aryans known as the Iranians or Proto-Iranians. Archaeological finds in Russia, Central Asia and the Middle East have elucidated some scant information about the way of life of these early peoples. The Iranian peoples have played an important role throughout history: the Achaemenid Persians established one of the world's first multi-national states and the Scythian-Sarmatian nomads dominated the vast expanses of Russia and western Siberia for centuries with a group of Sarmatian warrior women possibly being the inspiration for the Greek legend of the Amazons. In addition, the various religions of the Iranian peoples, including Zoroastrianism and Manichaeism, are believed by some scholars to be important early philosophical influences on Judeo-Christianity. Early Iranian tribes are the ...

Iranian faces (random selected)
Iran is a multy-racial country.their culture is based on feeling ,peace and philanthropy. as the western tourist say they are so hospitable and friendly. wikipedia: The Iranian peoples (also Iranic peoples) are a historical ethnic-linguistic group, consisting of the speakers of Iranian languages, a major branch of the Indo-European language family, as such forming a branch of Indo-European-speaking peoples. Their historical areas of settlement were on the Iranian plateau mainly in Iran, certain areas of Central Asia such as Tajikestan, most of Afghanistan, parts of Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan and scattered parts of the Caucasus Mountains. Their current distribution is spread across the Iranian plateau, stretching from the Indus in the east to central Anatolia in the west, and from Central Asia and the Caucasus to the Persian Gulf - a region that is sometimes termed the Iranian cultural continent, or Greater Persia by scholars, representing the extent of the Iranian languages and influence of the Persian empire.

Falls pride & falls identity of Iranian people.
Recent research of Central Asian genes Exceptionally high frequencies of M17 are found among the Ishkashimi (68%), Pushtuns (51 %), Pamirians of Tajikistan, Khojant (64%), but are likely "due to drift, as these populations are less diverse, and are characterized by relatively small numbers of individuals living in isolated mountain valleys."[3] (The frequency of the Tajik/Dushanbe population is, at 19%, far lower than the 64% frequency of the Tajik/Khojant population.)[3] The gene has proven to be a "diagnostic Indo-Iranian marker," ( Aryan marker) and "is likely to represent traces of an ancient population migration originating in southern Russia/Ukraine," where it may have been driven by the domestication of the horse around 3000 BC; its distribution and age are "consistent with the inferred movements of these people, who left a clear pattern of archaeological remains known as the Kurgan culture, and are thought to have spoken an early Indo-European language".[3] The frequency of R1a1 in western Iran, as in the Middle East, is only 5% to 10%, but in eastern Iran, the frequency of R1a1 is around 35%.[21] Wells et al. (2001) suggest that the deserts of central Iran acted as "significant barriers to gene flow," and propose two possibilities: Intriguingly, the population of present-day Iran, speaking a major Indo-European language (Farsi), appears to have had little genetic influence from the R1a (M17)-carrying Indo-Iranians. It is possible that the pre-Indo-European ...

THE ARYANS Ⓒ
The term Aryan originates with the Indo-Iranian self-designation arya, attested in the ancient texts of Hinduism and Zoroastrianism, the Rigveda and the Avesta. In the 18th century, the most ancient known Indo-European languages were those of the Indo-Iranians' ancestors. The word Aryan was adopted to refer not only to the Indo-Iranian people, but also to native Indo-European speakers as a whole, including the Albanians, Armenians, Greeks, Latins, and Germans. It was soon recognised that Balts, Celts, and Slavs also belonged to the same group. It was argued that all of these languages originated from a common root — now known as Proto-Indo-European — spoken by an ancient people who must have been the original ancestors of the European, Iranian, and Indo-Aryan peoples. The ethnic group composed of the Proto-Indo-Europeans and their modern descendants was termed the Aryans.

This is how Real Iranian Aryan look like!!
Aryan is a term used by old persian kings. Its sad people from europe want to steel this term and call themself aryan despite the fact that the term aryan means "iranian". I am sick and tired of stupid and uneducated people who think that iranian aryans look like white people. The real aryans of iran look like typical black haired and brown eyed iranians you see on tehran or in shiraz. Darius called himself aryan 2000 years ago, and he had black hair and brown eyes. I dont concider white-looking iranians with blue eyes and blond hair aryan or persian. These people are mix of other, many times russian/east european people. The men on this video are all Iranian Aryan. They were geniuses. They created, invented and discovered so much. Howard R. Turner writes: "Persian artists and scientists, princes and labourers together made a unique culture that has directly and indirectly influenced societies on every continent." A very very famous American philosopher and scientist sad persians (many of the men on my video) were and is still one of the greatest and most genius people mankind have ever seen. Search on Will durant on google. How can people spit on these mens faces and call them arabs? The people on this video were all patriots who always refered themselfs as Iranian or aryans. Its a shame some idiots call them "arabs". For example, Ibn-sina or Avicenna, was one of the greatest scientist during the hole middle age. European and American scientist usually call Avicenna the ...

ARYAN INVASION 卐
ARyans did NOT originate in India, nor did their solar cross symbol (swastika 卐), pre-dating Sanskrit itself, which is part of the Indo-European/Indo-Iranian (Indo-Aryan) language tree. Recent genetic study of the demographies of India indeed support the theory and found a strong link with similar gene pattern among Middle Eastern, central Asian, and European with Indo-european language speaking group of north India. Indo-Aryan language derives from an earlier Proto-Indo-Iranian stage, usually identified with the Bronze Age Sintashta and Andronovo culture north of the Caspian Sea. Their migration to and within Northwestern parts of South Asia is consequently presumed to have taken place in the Middle to Late Bronze Age, contemporary to the Late Harappan phase (ca. 1700 to 1300 BCE). داستان تغيير نام پرسيا به ايران - هيتلر و رضا Persia or Iran
209.85.135.104 The name Iran means "Land of the Aryans". Aryan is an English word derived from the Sanskrit "Ārya" meaning "noble" or "honorable". The Avestan cognate is "Airya" and the Old Persian equivalent is "Ariya". It is widely held to have been used as an ethnic self-designation of the Proto-Indo-Iranians[citation needed]. Since, in the 19th century, the Indo-Iranians were the most ancient known speakers of Indo-European languages, the word Aryan was adopted to refer not only to the Indo-Iranian people, but also to Indo-European speakers as a whole In Europe, the concept of an Aryan race became influential in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as linguists and ethnologists argued that speakers of these Indo-European languages constitute a distinctive race, descended from an ancient people, who were referred to as the "primitive Aryans", but are now known as Proto-Indo-Europeans.

Faces of Ancient Middle East Part 11 (Hurro-Urartian peoples)
The Hurrians (cuneiform Ḫu-ur-ri ) were a people of the Ancient Near East who lived in Northern Mesopotamia and adjacent regions during the Bronze Age.The largest and most influential Hurrian nation was the kingdom of Mitanni. The population of the Hittite Empire in Anatolia to a large part consisted of Hurrians, and there is significant Hurrian influence in Hittite mythology. By the Early Iron Age, the Hurrians had been assimilated with other peoples, except perhaps in the kingdom of Urartu. According to IM Diakonoff and S. Starostin, the Hurrian, Hattic, and Urartaean languages are related to the Northeast Caucasian languages. The ethnicity of the people of Mitanni is difficult to ascertain. A treatise on the training of chariot horses contains a number of Indo-Aryan glosses.Kammenhuber (1968) suggested that this vocabulary was derived from the still undivided Indo-Iranian language, but Mayrhofer (1974) has shown that specifically Indo-Aryan features are present. The names of the Mitanni aristocracy frequently are of Indo-Aryan origin, but it is specifically their deities which show Indo-Aryan roots (Mitra, Varuna, Indra, Nasatya), though some think that they are probably more immediately related to the Kassites. The common people's language, the Hurrian language is neither Indo-European nor Semitic.Hurrian, and thus the Hurrians, are therefore believed to be relatives of Urartu, both belonging to the Hurro-Urartian language family. It had been held that nothing more can ...
