EUROPE, Wake Up and Defend Yourself!
Christianity and European Pagan Culture being the dominant feature in shaping European culture for at least the last 1700 years. The culture of Europe might better be described as a series of overlapping cultures. Whether it is a question of West as opposed to East; Christianity as opposed to Islam; many have claimed to identify cultural fault lines across the continent. There are many cultural innovations and movements, often at odds with each other, such as Christian proselytism or Humanism. Thus the question of "common culture" or "common values" is far more complex than it seems. Our Civilization is under attack and we are in a Cultural war with forces of barbarism, Totalitarianism and stand in front of a new Neo-Fascism in the 21rst Century from outside which is Islamic Fascism and from inside which is the Marxist off springs Socialism, Communism, Supranationalism, multiculturalism and left radical ideologies and 'progressive' movements. Defending our freedoms and Liberties is an ongoing struggle. In the last years, we are witnessing a dangerous process which takes place in the continent of Europe. Europe changes its face every day, and in 2050, if necessary steps are not taken within the next decades, we will find ourselves in an Islamic continent. The dangerous process is caused by the European Muslims, but also by their supporters and weak politicians. As a result of intensified immigration from Muslims countries and high fertility among Muslims, the demographic ...

Istanbul 2010 - European Capital of Culture
The city of culture, the city where continents meet. Official video of Istanbul 2010; European Capital of Culture. Istanbul (Turkish: İstanbul, historically also known as Byzantium and Constantinople) is the largest city in Turkey and fifth largest city proper in the world with a population of 12.6 million. Istanbul is also a megacity, as well as the cultural and financial centre of Turkey. It is located on the Bosphorus Strait and encompasses the natural harbour known as the Golden Horn, in the northwest of the country. It extends both on the European (Thrace) and on the Asian (Anatolia) sides of the Bosphorus, and is thereby the only metropolis in the world that is situated on two continents. In its long history, Istanbul has served as the capital city of the Roman Empire (330 - 395), the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire (395 - 1204 and 1261 - 1453), the Latin Empire (1204 - 1261), and the Ottoman Empire (1453 - 1922). The city was chosen as joint European Capital of Culture for 2010. Istanbul welcomes you...

Body Art Decade: 2001-2010. 10 years of nudist body art.
This is a short excerpt from the upcoming movie "Body Art Decade: 2001-2010."
This documentary film is the first of its kind ever - featuring a high-resolution photo essay showing 10 years of body art and nudist culture. Hundreds of photos were painstakingly chosen for inclusion in the film, from a library of over 10,000 photos! And the quality is superb, with most photos being 6 - 12 megapixel resolution, much more clear than even HD video. And at the center of the Eastern European nudist culture is Volodia Gaidamakin, the most prolific body artist and nudist photographer in Eastern Europe. This movie takes you through 10 years of Volodia's work, with an interview with the artist (subtitled in English) where he describes his art, his inspiration, and his hope for the future.
But there's much more - in addition to the photo essay, the film features highlights of Candid-HD.com's HD video coverage of the past four years' annual Body Art Festivals, so you can see Volodia's work not only in still photos but also in HD video. It is an incredible and very interesting documentary film about the man at the center of Eastern European nudist culture, and it's a must-see for anyone with an appreciation of nudist culture and body art.
NOTE: This clip contains nudity - non-erotic, non-sexual nudity. If you are offended by the non-erotic portrayal of the nudist lifestyle, please don't watch it! Uploader to Vimeo is the producer and copyright holder for this film.

Chirality is a scientific term describing a structure that is not identical to its mirror image. “Chiral” collects cinematic etudes, which develop various conceptual approaches in order to expand the two-dimensional image into space. They are projected onto a sculpture (510 x 260 x 370 cm) and a screen (250 x 200 cm) made from handmade Taiwanese paper and develop very different lives on these configurations of the same material.
The amalgamation of volumetric lights sets ideas from Chinese calligraphy into motion and melts them with influences from European Art Informel as well as impasto painting to an abstract-organic sculpture. The installation is completed by a soundtrack by Austrian composer Richard Eigner (www.ritornell.at). With the premiere in MOCA Taipei the first iteration of the long-term project was presented…

euronews the network - Common culture and European cinema
www.euronews.com A quote, commonly ascribed to one of the fathers of the European Union, Jean Monnet said: "If I had to do it again, I would start with culture". As Europeans struggle among themselves over a financial crisis and as the world's movie industry attend the Cannes Film Festival; how much could the lack of EU solidarity be due to the lack of a common culture? If Europeans could laugh sing and cry together to the same home grown films and music, would that help create a common European identity? Should the EU and member states intervene, or should they stay out of contemporary culture and leave it to the free-market and the consumers? Wired into this edition of The Network is Edouard Waintrop, Head of the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival; Juliette Duret, Coordinator and Film Curator at the Bozar Cinema in Brussels and Michael Bartholomew, former European Head of the Motion Picture Association of America or MPAA. Ometeotl, intro to the Myth of "Gods" part 1 of 2
For so long Western (European) culture has seeing nature in terms of control and exploitation but for Indigenous cultures nature is the source of all harmony and balance. Our ancestors they teach us that is our duty/responsibility as human beings thru art, "religion", science to understand the harmony; not to abuse it or needlessly to change it but to go with the force of nature and to maintain a balance between it's duality. Ometeotl This is an effort to clear out the lies and misconceptions about the history, science, spirituality and all of the different aspects of life of The Original Inhabitants Indigenous First People of the "Western Hemisphere" what we call Abya Yala. I'd like to give credit and respect to the living energy, the sustainer of life, to my ancestors and to those who have inspired me. Copyright Kurly Tlapoyawa 2000

Minimal Cinema presents: Commercial -- Anton Perich & Kristina Korsholm for EUROPEAN CULTURE a minimal spot by Mauro John Capece & Claudio Romano; Produced by Betty L'innocente; Press Agency: Maura Narcisi; Music: Betty Poison, "Time"; Backstage: Marco Fioramanti.
