Best Dublin Pub Snugs with Gerry Cooley
Gerry Cooley Dublin Historian and Tour Guide visits 5 of the best Pub Snugs in Dublin. He does so in the company of fellow Dubliner Anne Cassin of RTE's program Capital D. Anne chooses Ryans of Parkgate street as her favourite while Gerry opts for Toners in Baggot street. In reality all 5 are winners and Gerry salutes all Pub Snug owners applauding them for keeping the old Dublin Pub Snug alive. There are less than twenty Snugs left in all of the City and County of Dublin. Gerry now visits these Snugs as part of his Dublin Tours so if you are ever in Dublin why not join him. In Toners he recites some poetry in honour of WB Yeats who once made a brief visit to Toners Snug in the company of Oliver St Gogarty back in the 1920's. Video and music is by Russell Cooley.

Paddy Cullivan on 'Capital D'
Paddy Cullivan's 'My Dublin' on RTE One's Capital D. Anne Cassin brings Paddy on a trip through memory lane, from his childhood home on North Great Georges St to his Art College days in NCAD to performing in Vicar St with Joan RIvers to the beautiful ruined church that formed the basis of his thesis on the destruction of Dublin. Warning: Paddy says 'fantastic' and 'very unique'. This is because those descriptions are apt.

Lucky Chimney Sweep Wedding Service
This video was broadcast by RTE on its Capital D program which is presented by Anne Cassin on March 12th. To meet a chimney sweep on your wedding day is a sign of good luck. When the chimney sweep attends the wedding, this timeless tradition is said to bring good luck to the married couple. The tradition of a chimney sweep been lucky is thought to originate from the 18th Century, when it is rumoured that an unknown chimney sweep grabbed the reins of a panicking horse saving the rider from a fatal accident. The sweep then disappeared into the crowd before he could be thanked. The grateful rider, being none other then the king himself, afterwards declared that all chimney sweeps should be treated with honour. The 'luck' of the monarch then became the sweeps' talisman.

Traveller Pride Awards 2010 Enterprise and Employment Winners: Laois Traveller Men's Group
This video clip was shown at the 2010 Traveller Pride Awards to highlight the achievement of the Enterprise and Employment Award Winner, the Laois Traveller Men's Group. The work of the Traveller men in Laois is captured in this piece and provided attendees of the awards with a flavour of some of the work the men are carrying out. The second Traveller Pride Awards, which mark the achievements of Irish Travellers across the island of Ireland in a variety of areas took place at a ceremony in Dublin's Button Factory on December 2nd 2010. The awards were hosted by RTÉ presenter Anne Cassin and awards were presented in ten categories in total, including the overall Traveller Pride 2010 Award. The aim of the awards is to celebrate Traveller achievements across the island of Ireland and the contributions that Travellers make to their own community to Irish society. The Awards also highlight some of the obstacles that exist for Travellers in Irish society. The ultimate aim is to instil pride, increase expectations and celebrate Travellers' undoubted positive contribution to Irish life -- and also the pride and determination one must have in order to succeed as a Traveller. THE GOOSEBERRIES THEME SONG.
This is the Theme song to Ireland's answer to the Raspberries, the Gooseberries! It all happened on Jan 20th 2011. Hosted for the fourth year running by satirist Paddy Cullivan, the Gooseberries celebrate all that is truly terrible in Irish TV, Radio, Music and Print. For more info go to www.thegooseberries.com. By the way, the lovely Anne Cassin is only there because Daithi got her name wrong on the Daily Show and we pressed pause. She's great.
