WHY ASIANS ARE YELLOW-SKINNED
Some people find yellow an offensive or racist term to describe Asians for various reasons.
"Asians are not actually yellow!"
"Hey, Asians aren’t cowards!"
"There is no ONE Asian colour!"
"Did you know Yellow or Yellow Peril is rooted in historical irrational racist perceptions, that the West had for the East?"
"Labels divide people. We need fewer labels, not more!"
And then there’s the other viewpoint, that 'Yellow' isn’t offensive:
"Why is calling someone white or black not racist, but then when you call them yellow, all of a sudden..."
"Yellow just describes ones' appearance, like calling someone skinny, short, tall, dark-haired…"
"...but Asians actually have a yellow hue to them!"
"Cmon, Asians even call themselves yellow!"
Actually that last one is interesting. Do Asians themselves find Yellow offensive?
Well understandably there are South East Asians, Indians, Afghans, Iraqis who find it offensive because they are far from yellow. But I think, in saying yellow, most people are referring to East Asians anyway.
So do EAST Asians find Yellow offensive?
Recently Apple angered many Asian people by their creation of yellow-shaded emojis, part of their attempt at racial emoji diversity - and many Asians took to Twitter to voice their concerns.
But, hey wait, I’ve heard Asians refer to themselves as Yellow too.
"Yellow Power!"
"Everyone’s got yellow fever!"
"Check out the yellow bullet! (Liu Xiang, Gold Medalist)
"...one of China’s legendary cultural heroes, The Yellow Emperor."
Okay, so the jury is still out on just how offensive it is; but who do we blame for all of this?
Some think it’s to do with the fact that Asian civilisation first developed around the Yellow River in China.
But after doing some research, I found this guy, Johann Friedrich Blumenbach (1752-1840) - a German naturalist, physiologist and anthropologist who was the first to explore the study of mankind as an aspect of natural history.
He came up with the five color typology for humans - the white race (Caucasians), the black race (sub-Saharan Africans), the brown race (Pacific Islanders), the red race (American Indians) and of course, the yellow race (East Asians).
And ever since then, the idea of Asians as yellow has been ingrained in our heads. Look no further than the Power Rangers. Specifically, the yellow power ranger.
Going back to the original question - Why are Asians yellow? (or yellowish)
The answer, is genetic. But more specifically, Asians have more carotene pigments in their skin, and carotene imparts a yellowish coloration.
Also Asians have a low body mass index (BMI) but higher body fat percentage; and much of this fat lies just under their skin. Fat tends to be yellowish in nature, so Asian skin often looks yellowish.
In comparison, Caucasians have less carotene and a much thinner layer of fat under their skin; so they’re less yellowy and more white.
At the end of the day, personally, I don’t really take much offence to being referred to as yellow. But then again, I do make videos on youtube about sensitive racial matters, so I do have to have thick skin (under which there is a layer of yellow fat).
Whatever color we are, it doesn’t really matter. We’re all the same. We are all interchangeable.
Especially when it comes to The Simpsons, the show where white people are yellow, and yellow people are white.

Mongoloid
Mongoloid /ˈmɒŋ.ɡə.lɔɪd/ is the general physical type of some or all of the populations of East Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Eastern Russia, the Arctic, the Americas, parts of the Pacific Islands and parts of South Asia. Individuals within these populations often share certain associated phenotypic traits, such as epicanthic folds (epicanthus), sinodonty and neoteny.
The term "mongoloid" was introduced by early ethnology primarily to describe various central and East Asian populations, one of the proposed three major races (Caucasoid, Mongoloid, Negroid) of humanity. Although some forensic anthropologists and other scientists continue to use the term in some contexts (such as criminal justice), the term mongoloid is now considered derogatory by most anthropologists due to both its association with disputed typological models of racial classification and the connotations of its independent use in reference to Down Syndrome and associated intellectual disabilities, previously referred to as "Mongolian imbecility" or "Mongolian idiocy".

Anglophone Africa and Caribbean

Australia
The Australian Census includes Central Asia. The Australian Census includes four regions of Asia in its official definition. Ching chong
Ching chong and ching chang chong are pejorative terms sometimes employed by speakers of English to mock or play on the Chinese language, people of Chinese ancestry, or other East Asians perceived to be Chinese. Several public commentators have characterized the term as derogatory while noting that assaults or physical intimidation of East Asians are often accompanied by racial slurs or imitation Chinese.
Historical usage
The term "ching chong" is based on how Chinese supposedly sounds to English speakers who do not speak it. The "ch" reflects the relative abundance of voiceless coronal affricates in Chinese (six in Mandarin Chinese: [ts], [tʂ], [tɕ], [tsʰ], [tʂʰ], [tɕʰ]), whereas English only has one: /tʃ/ (written ⟨ch⟩). The "ng" reflects the greater commonness of nasals in syllable codas in many varieties of Chinese; for example, Mandarin only allows [n] or [ŋ] (written ⟨ng⟩ in both English and in romanization of Chinese) in syllable codas.
While usually intended for ethnic Chinese, the slur has also been directed at other East Asians. Mary Paik Lee, a Korean immigrant who arrived with her family in San Francisco in 1906, writes in her autobiography that on her first day of school, girls circled and hit her, chanting:

White people
White people is a racial classification specifier, depending on context used for people of Europid ancestry. The contemporary usage of "white people" or a "white race" as a large group of (mainly European) populations contrasting with "black", American Indian, "colored" or non-white originates in the 17th century. It is today particularly used as a racial classifier in multiracial societies, such as the United States (White American), the United Kingdom (White British), Brazil (White Brazilian), and South Africa (White South African). Various social constructions of whiteness have been significant to national identity, public policy, religion, population statistics, racial segregation, affirmative action, white privilege, eugenics, racial marginalization and racial quotas.

Some people find yellow an offensive or racist term to describe Asians for various reasons.
"Asians are not actually yellow!"
"Hey, Asians aren’t cowards!"
"There is no ONE Asian colour!"
"Did you know Yellow or Yellow Peril is rooted in historical irrational racist perceptions, that the West had for the East?"
"Labels divide people. We need fewer labels, not more!"
And then there’s the other viewpoint, that 'Yellow' isn’t offensive:
"Why is calling someone white or black not racist, but then when you call them yellow, all of a sudden..."
"Yellow just describes ones' appearance, like calling someone skinny, short, tall, dark-haired…"
"...but Asians actually have a yellow hue to them!"
"Cmon, Asians even call themselves yellow!"
Actually that last one is interesting. Do Asians themselves find Yellow offensive?
Well understandably there are South East Asians, Indians, Afghans, Iraqis who find it offensive because they are far from yellow. But I think, in saying yellow, most people are referring to East Asians anyway.
So do EAST Asians find Yellow offensive?
Recently Apple angered many Asian people by their creation of yellow-shaded emojis, part of their attempt at racial emoji diversity - and many Asians took to Twitter to voice their concerns.
But, hey wait, I’ve heard Asians refer to themselves as Yellow too.
"Yellow Power!"
"Everyone’s got yellow fever!"
"Check out the yellow bullet! (Liu Xiang, Gold Medalist)
"...one of China’s legendary cultural heroes, The Yellow Emperor."
Okay, so the jury is still out on just how offensive it is; but who do we blame for all of this?
Some think it’s to do with the fact that Asian civilisation first developed around the Yellow River in China.
But after doing some research, I found this guy, Johann Friedrich Blumenbach (1752-1840) - a German naturalist, physiologist and anthropologist who was the first to explore the study of mankind as an aspect of natural history.
He came up with the five color typology for humans - the white race (Caucasians), the black race (sub-Saharan Africans), the brown race (Pacific Islanders), the red race (American Indians) and of course, the yellow race (East Asians).
And ever since then, the idea of Asians as yellow has been ingrained in our heads. Look no further than the Power Rangers. Specifically, the yellow power ranger.
Going back to the original question - Why are Asians yellow? (or yellowish)
The answer, is genetic. But more specifically, Asians have more carotene pigments in their skin, and carotene imparts a yellowish coloration.
Also Asians have a low body mass index (BMI) but higher body fat percentage; and much of this fat lies just under their skin. Fat tends to be yellowish in nature, so Asian skin often looks yellowish.
In comparison, Caucasians have less carotene and a much thinner layer of fat under their skin; so they’re less yellowy and more white.
At the end of the day, personally, I don’t really take much offence to being referred to as yellow. But then again, I do make videos on youtube about sensitive racial matters, so I do have to have thick skin (under which there is a layer of yellow fat).
Whatever color we are, it doesn’t really matter. We’re all the same. We are all interchangeable.
Especially when it comes to The Simpsons, the show where white people are yellow, and yellow people are white.

WHY ASIANS ARE YELLOW-SKINNED
Some people find yellow an offensive or racist term to describe Asians for various reasons.
"Asians are not actually yellow!"
"Hey, Asians aren’t cowards!"
"There is no ONE Asian colour!"
"Did you know Yellow or Yellow Peril is rooted in historical irrational racist perceptions, that the West had for the East?"
"Labels divide people. We need fewer labels, not more!"
And then there’s the other viewpoint, that 'Yellow' isn’t offensive:
"Why is calling someone white or black not racist, but then when you call them yellow, all of a sudden..."
"Yellow just describes ones' appearance, like calling someone skinny, short, tall, dark-haired…"
"...but Asians actually have a yellow hue to them!"
"Cmon, Asians even call themselves yellow!"
Actually that last one is interesting. Do Asians themselves find Yellow offensive?
Well understandably there are South East Asians, Indians, Afghans, Iraqis who find it offensive because they are far from yellow. But I think, in saying yellow, most people are referring to East Asians anyway.
So do EAST Asians find Yellow offensive?
Recently Apple angered many Asian people by their creation of yellow-shaded emojis, part of their attempt at racial emoji diversity - and many Asians took to Twitter to voice their concerns.
But, hey wait, I’ve heard Asians refer to themselves as Yellow too.
"Yellow Power!"
"Everyone’s got yellow fever!"
"Check out the yellow bullet! (Liu Xiang, Gold Medalist)
"...one of China’s legendary cultural heroes, The Yellow Emperor."
Okay, so the jury is still out on just how offensive it is; but who do we blame for all of this?
Some think it’s to do with the fact that Asian civilisation first developed around the Yellow River in China.
But after doing some research, I found this guy, Johann Friedrich Blumenbach (1752-1840) - a German naturalist, physiologist and anthropologist who was the first to explore the study of mankind as an aspect of natural history.
He came up with the five color typology for humans - the white race (Caucasians), the black race (sub-Saharan Africans), the brown race (Pacific Islanders), the red race (American Indians) and of course, the yellow race (East Asians).
And ever since then, the idea of Asians as yellow has been ingrained in our heads. Look no further than the Power Rangers. Specifically, the yellow power ranger.
Going back to the original question - Why are Asians yellow? (or yellowish)
The answer, is genetic. But more specifically, Asians have more carotene pigments in their skin, and carotene imparts a yellowish coloration.
Also Asians have a low body mass index (BMI) but higher body fat percentage; and much of this fat lies just under their skin. Fat tends to be yellowish in nature, so Asian skin often looks yellowish.
In comparison, Caucasians have less carotene and a much thinner layer of fat under their skin; so they’re less yellowy and more white.
At the end of the day, personally, I don’t really take much offence to being referred to as yellow. But then again, I do make videos on youtube about sensitive racial matters, so I do have to have thick skin (under which there is a layer of yellow fat).
Whatever color we are, it doesn’t really matter. We’re all the same. We are all interchangeable.
Especially when it comes to The Simpsons, the show where white people are yellow, and yellow people are white.

He knows he's got it, you know he's got it, and it's a trip just experiencing him perform."[citation needed]
His first album release was in 1982 entitled Mister Yellowman followed by Zungguzungguguzungguzeng in 1983 earning instant success. Yellowman's sexually explicit lyrics in popular songs such as "Them a Mad Over Me" boasted of his sexual prowess, like those of other reggae singers/deejays, earned Yellowman criticism in the mid-1980s.[1] Yellowman appeared in Jamaican Dancehall Volcano Hi-power 1983 which featured other major dancehall musicians such as Massive Dread, Josey Wales, Burro Banton and Eek-A-Mouse.[1]
Yellowman has had a substantial influence on the world of hip hop. He is widely credited for leading the way for the succession of reggae artists that were embraced by the growing hip-hop community in America during the 1980s. Eazy-E used a sample of his voice from his recording "Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt", which also became a major hit by Eazy-E with the same title.[3] The basic rhythm of his hit "Zungguzungguguzungguzeng" can be traced throughout the hip hop scene as it was reused by such hip hop giants as KRS-One, Sublime, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, and Blackstar, formed by Mos Def and Talib Kweli.[5] The rhythm borrowed by Yellowman in this song was referred to by him as "mad mad", as the rhythm was originally cut by Alton Ellis in 1967 at Studio One as "Mad Mad Mad". There has been a constant renaming of this signature rhythm (or riddim), such as "Diseases" (after the popular version of the tune by Papa Michigan and General Smiley). Yellowman changed the melodic phrasing of this rhythm from AA to AB, when he began ending the second line in the chorus on a higher note. Many of the previously mentioned artists composing songs based on Yellowman's original riddim differed in their choice of using either the AA or AB pattern. However, this riddim has little to do with Yellowman's talent, as it was most likely written by the Roots Radics band, also responsible for countless other reggae riddims recorded at the time.

my mind is full of doubt.
they need agriculture.
in order to have the idea of agriculture, they need the idea of flatness.
in order to have the idea of flatness, they need the idea of containment,
the idea of gravity.
if your mind can understand the idea of the room, the city,
it's too late for you.
people who make cities are doomed to moving rocks through struggle.
rocks do not get up and dance around for people who make cities.
for people who make cities, rocks appear to be dead.
the idea of agriculture is not to feed the people.
the idea of agriculture is improvement.
flatness as a solution to the problem of gravity,
confused with the idea of feeding the people,
is something we have to live with.
the rocks have stopped dancing.
our motto is: in entertainment, what goes up must come down.
but, let's go on.
later, there will be enough time to talk about agriculture,

it was inevitable.
