Symon Gould (died November 24, 1963) was the founder of the American Vegetarian Party, formed in 1948. He was their candidate for President of the United States in the 1960 and 1964 presidential elections.

Gould was also secretary of the Vegetarian Society of New York, and a promoter of Herbert M. Shelton's American Natural Hygiene Society (Iacobbo 158, 161).

He was a bibliophile, rare book dealer, and director of the American Library Service.[1][2]

Gould had also been the founder of the International Film Arts Guild in New York. According to one account, he edited the American print of the silent film Nosferatu (Skal 2004:149). Gould is credited with boosting the "art house theater" (or "little cinema") movement by his screenings at the Cameo Theatre in New York (Melnick and Fuchs 2004:69).

Simone Dinnerstein (born September 18, 1972) is an American classical pianist who became celebrated, both critically and commercially, for her self-financed recording of Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations, released in 2007.

Simone Andréa Dinnerstein was born in New York, New York, USA. She studied in the pre-college program at the Manhattan School of Music with Solomon Mikowsky. She later attended The Juilliard School of Music and was a student of Peter Serkin. She also studied in London with Maria Curcio.

When the Telarc label released the self-financed recording of Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations (Telarc CD-80692), her career was "launched into the stratosphere" with the album outselling The White Stripes on Amazon.com. In its first week of commercial release, the recording was at No.1 on the Billboard classical music CD sales chart. The disc appeared on a number of “Best of 2007” lists, including those of The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, Time Out New York, several radio stations, iTunes “Editor’s Choice Best Classical,” Amazon.com Best CDs of 2007, and Barnes & Noble's Top 5 Debut CDs of 2007.

Yves Daoust (born 10 April 1946) is a Canadian composer who is particularly known for his works of electroacoustic music. He currently resides in Montréal.

Born in Longueuil, Daoust began his musical studies at the age of seven, studying the piano with Alice Vigeant. At sixteen, his first experiments in electroacoustic music: he "prepared" the family piano in order to realize the soundtrack for a friend's 8 mm experimental film. At nineteen, Daoust completed his first electronic work: an hour of music for a gestual theater work to be premiered in Berlin (Germany) as part of an international amateur theatre festival. At twenty he entered the Conservatoire, initially in the piano class of Irving Heller and subsequently in the composition class of Gilles Tremblay.

After an encounter with Maurice Blackburn, Daoust entered a training program in film music techniques at the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). This was followed by an apprenticeship at the IMEB from 1974-76. In this context he developed his style and solidified several friendships that endure to this day.

Mike Lindup (born Michael Lindup, 17 March 1959, in London, England) is best known as the keyboard player and falsetto voiced singer, who joined with Mark King and brothers Phil and Boon Gould to form the 1980s - 1990s British funk/rock/pop band, Level 42.

Since July 2000 he has been part of the live line-up of UK/Brazilian outfit Da Lata, playing keyboards, percussion and providing backing vocals, who have been performing from clubs to festivals in the UK & Europe, US & Canada, Japan, South Africa and China.

In 2006 he rejoined Level 42, replacing Lyndon Connah, for touring appearances and the recording of the album Retroglide.

In 2009 he appears on Phil Gould's first solo album, Watertight.

In 2012 he dueted with Leee John on a version of Something About You at the Leicester Square Theatre, London.

His mother is the actress, singer and songwriter Nadia Cattouse and his father is David Lindup.

Charly Wingate (born May 21, 1978), better known as Max B, is an American rapper and songwriter from Harlem and is known for his original rap style of mumbled delivery, catchy sing-song choruses & hooks, and his energetic personality in interviews and videos.

In 2009, Max B began serving a 75-year prison sentence for charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault and murder.

He was incarcerated on robbery charges from 1997 to 2005, He had come up with a second alias Biggaveli or Biggaveli denoting his belief that he is a combination of rappers: The Notorious B.I.G. ("Biggie Smalls"), Jay-Z ("Jigga") and Tupac Shakur ("Makaveli").

His manager Mike Bruno, whose name denotes his belief that he is a combination of boxers: Mike Tyson ("Mike") and Frank Bruno ("Bruno"), passed a demo along to Diplomats member Jim Jones in 2005, and Max B came to prominence through his affiliation with the Harlem collective The Diplomats, and with rappers Jim Jones and Cam'Ron in particular. In 2006 Jones formed the collective ByrdGang with Max B as a starring member. Fellow ByrdGang-member Stack Bundles was killed in 2007. Max B expressed the loss: "That was fucked up because the nigga Stacks was close to me, I ain't even gonna front. I was in jail at the time, so a nigga was sitting. A nigga learned to cope with that thing pretty well though, R.I.P. to Stacks. Shout out to my nigga, he played me all the joints he had. Man, that was my nigga."
