Exploring the dilapidated ruins of civilisation, abandoned factories, creepy theme parks, military bases, and underground vaults containing the remnants of a by gone era. And with a bit of comedy and humour chucked in there too, can't be too serious about these things.

In an appearance at Brave New Books, Dr. Andrew Wakefield is finally given a chance to defend his research into Autism and the MMR Vaccine. His famous paper which suggested that there may be a link between the MMR Vaccine and Autism, was ridiculed and distorted by pharmaceutical companies in order to escape the suggestion that the MMR Vaccine may be causing Autism in children.
Dr. Wakefield's public humiliation began after he published a medical paper in the Lancet Medical Journal in 1998. The journalist Brian Deer accused him of being a fraud, for manually altering test results and diagnoses.
Dr. Wakefield's response to this would have been highly comical if not for the persecution he has suffered as a result of Brian Deer's claim. He explains how in no way possible was he guilty of any sort of fraudulence and shows that Brian Deer was the fraud.
Apart from the false statements, Dr. Andrew Wakefield describes how Brian Deer deliberately hid key proof of Wakefield's innocence.
The video discusses vaccines in depth, and gives 100% proof that vaccines cause Autism with references to many prominent scientists and their studies. Also shows Court cases where it was proven to the judge that Autism was caused by the MMR vaccine.
Anyone doing a study on the links between MMR vaccine and autism, must get information from both sides. Coordinates: 53°40′48″N 1°29′31″W / 53.6801°N 1.4920°W / 53.6801; -1.4920
Wakefield is a city in West Yorkshire, England, on the River Calder and the eastern edge of the Pennines, which had a population of 76,886 in 2001.
Wakefield was dubbed the "Merrie City" in the Middle Ages and in 1538 John Leland described it as, "a very quick market town and meately large; well served of fish and flesh both from sea and by rivers ... so that all vitaile is very good and chepe there. A right honest man shall fare well for 2d. a meal. ... There be plenti of se coal in the quarters about Wakefield".
The Battle of Wakefield took place in the Wars of the Roses and it was a Royalist stronghold in the Civil War. Wakefield became an important market town and centre for wool, exploiting its position on the navigable River Calder to become an inland port.
In the 18th century, Wakefield traded in corn, coal mining and textiles and in 1888 its parish church acquired cathedral status. It became the county town and seat of the West Riding County Council in 1889 and the West Yorkshire Metropolitan Council from 1974 until it was dissolved in 1986.

Muck and needles galore this one, and our first satanic room find. Exploring the dilapidated ruins of civilisation, abandoned factories, creepy theme parks, military bases, and underground vaults containing the remnants of a by gone era. In an appearance at Brave New Books, Dr. Andrew Wakefield is finally given a chance to defend his research into Autism and the MMR Vaccine. His famous paper which suggested that there may be a link between the MMR Vaccine and Autism, was ridiculed and distorted by pharmaceutical companies in order to escape the suggestion that the MMR Vaccine may be causing Autism in children. Dr. Wakefield's public humiliation began after he published a medical paper in the Lancet Medical Journal in 1998. The journalist Brian Deer accused him of being a fraud, for manually altering test results and diagnoses. Dr. Wakefield's response to this would have been highly comical if not for the persecution he has suffered as a result of Brian Deer's claim. In an appearance at Brave New Books, Dr. Andrew Wakefield is finally given a chance to defend his research into Autism and the MMR Vaccine. His famous paper which suggested that there may be a link between the MMR Vaccine and Autism, was ridiculed and distorted by pharmaceutical companies in order to escape the suggestion that the MMR Vaccine may be causing Autism in children.
Dr. Wakefield's public humiliation began after he published a medical paper in the Lancet Medical Journal in 1998. The journalist Brian Deer accused him of being a fraud, for manually altering test results and diagnoses.
Dr. Wakefield's response to this would have been highly comical if not for the persecution he has suffered as a result of Brian Deer's claim. He explains how in no way possible was he guilty of any sort of fraudulence and shows that Brian Deer was the fraud.
Apart from the false statements, Dr. Andrew Wakefield describes how Brian Deer deliberately hid key proof of Wakefield's innocence.
The video discusses vaccines in depth, and gives 100% proof that vaccines cause Autism with references to many prominent scientists and their studies. Also shows Court cases where it was proven to the judge that Autism was caused by the MMR vaccine.
Anyone doing a study on the links between MMR vaccine and autism, must get information from both sides. For this first of Wandering Onwards I headed to Wakefield then stayed in Chelsea, Quebec. My goals for launching this project were and will remain simple, (i) be outdoors; (ii) explore somewhere new; (iii) document the experience. Also, to enjoy some great burgers (thanks to Le Hibou and Chelsea Pub). Wakefield is a beautiful place. Had it been more convenient I would have enjoyed travelling by kayak (definitely worth a return to do). It felt like a place where people appreciated their surroundings and didn't let life lead to worry. I had intended to explore Gatineau as well, however, being new to this whole high-km biking my legs gave out. This is likely a blessing in disguise though because now I can do a full weekend just in Gatineau Hills. When doing new things, most important is st...

In this video, we meet Bonnie from Wakefield, Québec, Canada who is living on a gorgeous tiny house boat that is full of character and charm. The River Den (or La Tannière) has custom-made asymmetrical windows, a classic ship's wheel, antique fireplace, and hand-built furniture — all of which give the boat a warm and cozy feel that makes you feel at home as soon as you step on board. The boat is docked on the shore of the Gatineau River and Bonnie lives in it as often as she can when she's not renting it out on Airbnb (https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/9678942?guests=1&s;=vNzQNzuG).
The tiny houseboat was designed by Bonnie and her boatbuilding friend, Denis Tremblay, who is known locally as the Wakefield Pirate. Denis and a few of his friends built the boat by hand, including the aluminum frame and the custom windows, the cabinets, and the grill floor in the loft.
The boat is built on 5 pontoons that are designed to provide flotation while still taking on some water to keep the boat weighed down in the water for stability. The pontoons are also designed to freeze in the ice and are made by a local company called Les Quais Navigables (http://www.quaisnavigables.com).
It's a 4-season house boat that is fully insulated and has an antique wood burning fireplace to provide heat in winter. For power, they installed a deep cycle marine battery that provides 12-Volt power for the lights, bilge pump, and navigation lights. They have a Separett composting toilet from Sweden (https://www.separett-usa.com), and a sink that pumps water from the river for washing dishes. For refrigeration, Bonnie uses a cooler with ice, but she might invest in some solar panels so that she can power a proper fridge eventually.
The main floor has a kitchen, toilet, dining room and living room, and upstairs there is cozy a sleeping loft with a grill floor that allows heat to rise through the floor, and sun & dust to travel down to the main level. One of the windows in the loft opens up onto a gorgeous rooftop patio with a cedar deck and has space for some solar panels if/when Bonnie decides she needs them.
The boat has a gas motor and can be taken out on the river which is quite impressive considering it's size! To make sure the boat was still road worthy, they built a wedge roof over the loft that can be taken apart if Bonnie wants to transport it to a different location. The boat is currently docked in the quaint little town of Wakefield, Québec where there are cute cafes, restaurants and shops right across the street.
