This apparently shows that Miliband is not a serious politician.
However, Cameron seems to have forgotten his own days as an anti-austerity warrior.
Back in 2007, David Cameron launched a campaign against threats to close accident and emergency and maternity units across the UK.
He told the BBC that:
"people simply do not understand why maternity units and accident and emergency units are being shut down when accident and emergency admissions are up and births are up."
He promised that he would have a "bare-knuckle fight" with the government to save them.
The Tories even drew up a list of 29 units they would fight for.
So how has Cameron's bare-knuckle fight gone?
Well of the units on that list:
- Closure of the Chase Farm hospital accident and emergency unit in Enfield was approved by Andrew Lansley last year.
- A decision on the closure of Frenchay A&E is due early next year.
- Closure of King George A&E in Essex was approved by the government last year.
- Hartlepool University hospital A&E was closed last year.
- Queen Mary's Sidcup closed at the end of 2010.
- Consultation to close Trafford General A&E ends this month.
- Queen Elizabeth II hospital A&E in Hertfordshire has closed at night times.
- St Cross A&E in Rugby closed last year.
And it's not just those on Cameron's list. Elsewhere:
- Newark General A&E was closed last year, with disastrous results
- Pontefract A&E closed at night times last year
- Stafford A&E has also closed at night time.
- Ealing, Hammersmith, Charing Cross and Central Middlesex A&Es are all due to close under plans defended by Boris Johnson.
- St Helier A&E in Sutton is under threat of closure.
- Friarage Hospital Maternity unit is also under threat.

Queen Mary's A&E has of course now closed.
