King Carlo Alberto of Sardinia
Carlo Alberto was the King of Piedmont-Sardinia from 1831 to 1849. He is most remembered for authorizing the constitution that served his kingdom and later the Kingdom of Italy for the next hundred years as well as waging war to drive the Austrians out of northern Italy. Despite his tenacity however he was defeated by the Austrians and was finally forced to abdicate and go into exile in Portugal. He died in 1849 at the age of 50 and was returned to Turin for burial.

Greater Empire of Roman Italy and Sardinia (alternate history) Flag & Anthem
Inspired by TomNUFC's Alternate Histories (only that my recordings are shittier). In 1849, the King of Sardinia starts a campaign of wars on its neighbor Italian countries. After some were conquered, he proclaims himself Emperor of Greater Italy and Rome, uniting the Italian peoples and soon many other European and North African states under the insignias of the Ancient Romans. As there was already a lot of Italian patriotism, Fascism was prevented; Yet, the rapid expansionism led to big area losses of the Empire after the end of the 20-year World War in 1934, and the collapse of the whole Realm in 1954, when Communist revolutionaries overthrew the totalitarian monarchy and founded the Federation of Italian Democratic Republics (FRDI). The anthem is the old anthem of the Kingdom of Sardinia, the national emblem is a Roman laurel wreath and eagle holding lightning bolds in front of the cross of burgundy, the imperial crown is levitating over the eagle's head. The flag is the coat of arms within "SPQR" in golden letters spelled out in the middle white stripe of the horizontal, Italian tricolour.

Villasimius Sardinia
Ferries to Sardinia: ferriessardinia.in Villasimìus is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cagliari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 35 km east of Cagliari. Dur to its strategically important site, Villasimius' territory was inhabited since prehistoric times, as testified by nuraghe (19th-6th centuries BC), Phoenician-Carthaginian (7th-2nd centuries BC) and Roman (3rd century BC-6th century AD) remains. During the giudicati (Sardinian kingdoms), Aragonese and Spanish dominations, the territory suffered numerous pirate raids, and became increasingly depopulated. The village name was, at least from the 13th century, Carbonara; this was repopulated from the early 19th century, when it was under the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont, becoming a comune in 1838. Villasimius' economy was traditionally based on agriculture and shepherding and, from 1875, to the extraction of granite. Tourism began to grow of importance from the 1960s, and is now Villasimius main economical activity. In 1998 the Protected Sea Area of Capo Carbonara was created on the coast. ( source Wikipedia )

Il Risorgimento
After occupations by both Austria and France, Italy finally saw its chance for union in the late 19th century. With a few strong leaders staging revolts across the peninsula, Italy had hope, it just needed to unite. From Sardinia Sicily, revolts were actually becoming successful. With help from the French, the Italians united with leadership from Vittorio Emmanuele II of Savoy from Piedmont-Sardinia. Other daring leaders soon joined in, and the Italians were finally united against the Austrians. After years and wars, the Italian armies made progress, freeing the north and Sardinia. They even created a flag for themselves, modeled after Napoleon's tricolore. Alfonso La Marmora, Camillo Benso di Cavour, Giuseppe Mazzini, and other leaders banded armies behind them. The most famous of these generals was Giuseppe Garibaldi originally from Nice. Leading his iconic army called the "red shirts" he led successful battles in southern Italy against the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, which had refused to join the young nation. Garibaldi smashed the Neapolitans, working up the peninsula toward Rome. Eventually he met Vittorio Emmanuele II, and he historically turned over all his lands to the crown of Italy. Finally, north and south were joined. All that was left outside Italian borders were Venetia, still held by Austria, and the Papal States, with a strong French guard. After a strategic alliance against Austria, Italy was rewarded Venetia. With the Prussian attack on France, Napoleon ...

Napoleon: Total War- Grenadier Duel
Me playing Napoleon: Total War, with the help of mods. I own nothing! Everything goes to The Creative Assembly. How did I get the troops to not retreat and how did I play Hungary? That's where the mods come in. I made a faction mod that enabled play of Kingdom of Sardinia, Kingdom of Bavaria, and Kingdom of Hungary. Luckily, this was compatible with Marshal Beale's mod, Napoleon: Order of War. Then I changed the morale values of every unit included in the original Napoleon: Total War to 99. So, there you have it! One fun five minute playing session.

The Isle of Capri and Naples, Italy. Italy (i /ˈɪtəli/; Italian: Italia [iˈtaːlja]), officially the Italian Republic (Italian: Repubblica italiana), is a unitary parliamentary republic in south-central Europe. To the north it borders France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia along the Alps. To the south it consists of the entirety of the Italian Peninsula, Sicily, Sardinia—the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea—and many other smaller islands. The independent states of San Marino and the Vatican City are enclaves within Italy, whilst Campione d'Italia is an Italian exclave in Switzerland. The territory of Italy covers some 301338 km2 (116347 sq mi) and is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. With 60.6 million inhabitants, it is the fifth most populous country in Europe, and the 23rd most populous in the world. Rome, the capital of Italy, was for centuries the political centre of Western civilisation as the capital of the Roman Empire. After its decline, Italy endured numerous invasions by foreign peoples, from Germanic tribes such as the Lombards and Ostrogoths, to the Byzantines and later, the Normans, among others. Centuries later, Italy became the birthplace of the Renaissance,[7] an immensely fruitful intellectual movement that would prove to be integral in shaping the subsequent course of European thought. Through much of its post-Roman history, Italy was fragmented into numerous kingdoms and city-states (such as the Kingdom of Sardinia, the Kingdom ...
