A Man and His Music is a 1965 double album by Frank Sinatra. It provides a brief retrospective of Sinatra's musical career. The album won the 1967 Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
Instead of using the original recordings, which were made for RCA, Columbia and Capitol Records, and therefore not eligible for use by his then-current label, Reprise, Sinatra used re-recorded versions for the majority of the album's songs, culling tracks from his prior Reprise albums. Three songs were specifically recorded for the project: "I'll Never Smile Again", "Come Fly With Me" and "Love and Marriage". There is also a narration from Sinatra that runs throughout the album.
Approximately 2,000 copies of this album were originally released in a special wooden slipcase containing 3D artwork on the cover in the form of a metal plaque. Each copy was numbered and contained a card signed by Sinatra himself. The packaging also included a booklet highlighting Sinatra's career. A majority of these special "Man and His Music" LP's were given away as door prizes by Sinatra at a party in Palm Springs. The party celebrated the singer's 50th birthday, as well as the airing of Sinatra's 1965 NBC television special of the same name (Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music).
Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music was a one-hour television special in color, first broadcast by NBC on November 24, 1965, to mark the occasion of Frank Sinatra's 50th birthday. It was directed by the multi-Emmy-winning Dwight Hemion. Frank Peppiatt and John Aylesworth were the head writers. Telecast at a time when television had just switched to full-time color programming (except for feature films shot in black-and-white), the show was an enormous success, so much so that it spawned two follow-ups: A Man and His Music – Part II (1966), featuring Nancy Sinatra, and A Man and His Music + Ella + Jobim (1967), starring Ella Fitzgerald and Antonio Carlos Jobim. An album by Sinatra, also titled A Man and His Music, was released at around the same time as the special.
By modern standards, especially, the format of the original show was profoundly simple. It consisted only of Frank Sinatra in a television studio singing many of his hit tunes (such as It Was a Very Good Year) in front of a live audience. There were no guests on this first program. The orchestra was conducted by long-time Sinatra arrangers Nelson Riddle and Gordon Jenkins, and Ed McMahon served as announcer, a role he returned to in the two subsequent specials.
Part Two, Part 2 or Part II may refer to:
"How High" is a song by American hip hop duo Method Man & Redman, released as a single on August 15, 1995. It was originally featured on the soundtrack to the 1995 hip hop documentary film, The Show, and has since appeared on several compilation albums such as The Hip Hop Box and Def Jam's Greatest Hits, among several others. The song, produced by Erick Sermon, is the first official collaboration from longtime friends and East Coast rappers Method Man of Wu-Tang Clan and Redman of Def Squad, marking their debut as a duo. The song performed exceptionally well commercially, reaching number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single has since been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Redman's vocals on the third verse was sampled on American electro house DJ Armand Van Helden's 1996 single, "The Funk Phenomena". The song was later sampled on Guilty Simpson's "Yikes!".
Part II is the second studio album by American country music artist Brad Paisley. Released in 2001 on Arista Nashville, it became Paisley's second platinum-certified album in the United States. It produced four singles: "Two People Fell in Love", "Wrapped Around", "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)" and "I Wish You'd Stay", which respectively reached number 4, number 2, number 1, and number 7 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. "Too Country" also entered the country charts from unsolicited airplay.
Written by Darrell Scott, "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" was also recorded by Patty Loveless on her 2001 album Mountain Soul and by Kathy Mattea on her 2008 album Coal. The song was featured in the FX TV series Justified.
This album was repackaged with Who Needs Pictures by Sony's Legacy division and released on September 23, 2008.
The title for Paisley's second album as well as the songs on it were inspired by the movie, Father of the Bride Part II, the follow-up to the movie he went to see on his first date with a certain girl several years before his first record deal. They had long since broken up but when the sequel to the movie came out, Paisley couldn't help thinking about her. And wondering if she was thinking about him. "I ended up going to see (the sequel) on the exact day, at the exact same showing that we saw the first one," he says. "I did it on purpose thinking she might be there, too. Well, of course, she wasn't. No one is that psychotic except me."
A Man and His Music – Part II was a 1966 television special starring Frank Sinatra, accompanied by the orchestras of Nelson Riddle and Gordon Jenkins, and also featuring Nancy Sinatra.
It was the sequel to the previous years special A Man and His Music. It was followed up by A Man and His Music + Ella + Jobim in 1967.

Nails scratching wooden surface
Eyes red from tears like blood
Torn hair in clenching fist
A guttural scream from the mouth you kissed
It seems so far away now
just as if it has never been
Seems much clearer somehow
an eye for a lie in every scene
I was so lucky on that day
still I almost let it go
When you went away
what a lucky turn it was for me
Things must work out better the second time around
cause this is beauty I have found
She's breathing in my ear now
what a sound
You are the dead leaves falling to the ground
You mistreated me, never let me be
The lies you told to me I was too blind
to see you
when you were tightening the noose
To see you
you only wanted me to loose
I was so lonely
lonely...
