Re: The problem of evil is a puzzle??????
Randall, I appreciate your thoughts on the trivialization of the problem of evil. You say theres no way around the Problem of Evil, but what do you think about Process Theology? God is not omnipotent in process theology, as opposed to classical theology (Charles Hartshorne called it NEO-CLASSICAL). God is the most powerful force in the universe in that God sets the parameters of physical law, and works in a ubiquitous way at the base of reality and guides creatures via what Whitehead calls The Divine Lure. But God is not omnipotent and does not exercise DIRECT, efficient causality over the CONCRETE actions of creatures. God and creatures co-create the world, creatures truly have free will---they are free to minimize or disregard the Divine Lure. God exercises persuasive power, not efficient power.

Interview with David Ray Griffin
'It is the theological task to try to expose the deceit involved in 9/11' Professor David Ray Griffin is one of the foremost contemporary exponents of process theology . He has written many books on the subject of 9/11 and in this interview he explains his reasoning behind why he and many other independent thinker's reject the official explanation (or the 'government's conspiracy theory' as he likes to describe it). He explains with ease the technical impossibility of steel frame buildings falling at freefall speed due to fire only and the smoking gun of US military grade explosives being found in the fallout dust. How independent testimony and witness was ignored by a commission headed up by a Bush/Cheney administrator to investigate the disaster and that it is an established conspiracy amongst free and independent professionals , scientists and journalists that the US Government were involved. Summarizing he empathizes with Muslims who were stigmatized by the orchestrated events of 9/11 and reasons also that plutocracy and militarism must give way to a democratic world order and arbitration through global judiciary. The interview is no doubt, a fantastic insight into this man's work on 9/11.

Original blog entry: "Lie Groups Are Oppressing Me" : feministwhore.wordpress.com Links: Math+Free Will: www.sciencenews.org 400 links about Process and Liberation: www.religion-online.org cacm.acm.org books.google.com This chart and video started as an addendum to a blog entry I had, which was far too convoluted for anyone to understand. I don't think the video is particularly less convoluted though. Click the tags for better information, there is a bunch on set theory and process theology right here on youtube. on the maths: when somebody pulls out those crap stats about drug use or sex work or whatever - even rape stats - you can ask 'em if they were careful with their homomorphic reductions or if they were emulating Melissa fuckin' Farley and stacking the data...
