Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead - Part 1
Part two here: www.youtube.com Two minor characters from Hamlet get a story told from their point of view. This movie is hilarious. Some people get it, some don't, but personally i'd say it's definitely worth your while. *especially* if you're a slash fan. maybe that's what's wrong with the people who don't get it... their loss 8P (gonna take a few days to get this whole movie uploaded as I'm doing it in the best quality possible and it takes much more time)

Theater Talk: Tom Stoppard, playwright "Rock 'n' Roll"
British writer Tom Stoppard discusses his work and new play "Rock 'n' Roll." Theater Talk is a series devoted to the world of the stage. It began on New York television in 1993 and is co-hosted by Michael Riedel (Broadway columnist for the New York Post) and series producer Susan Haskins. The program is one of the few independent productions on PBS and now airs weekly on Thirteen/WNET in New York and WGBH in Boston. Now, CUNY TV offers New York City viewers additional opportunities to catch each week's show. (Of course, Theater Talk is no stranger to CUNY TV, since the show is taped here each week before its first airing on Thirteen/WNET.) The series is produced by Theater Talk Productions, a not-for-profit corporation and is funded by contributions from private foundations and individuals, as well as The New York State Council on the Arts. "The Real Thing" by Tom Stoppard
January 13 to February 15, 2009 at the Belfry. Henry's a playwright. He's looking for the "the real thing" in art and love. Neither is easy to find -- and his friends and family are eager to critique both his plays and his romantic choices. With dialogue as funny and incisive as you'll ever find, the Oscar-winning writer of Shakespeare in Love creates an adult comedy full of the pain and the folly of love. It's simply the best, the sexiest and the funniest play about love.

Great Books - Arcadia by Tom Stoppard; discussed by Rebecca Nesvet
To celebrate World Book Day, Rebecca Nesvet, senior lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Gloucestershire, has chosen to discuss Tom Stoppard's 1993 play, Arcadia. "Judged the greatest modern British play by Independent columnist Jonathan Hari, Arcadia follows the adventures of fictional Regency prodigy Lady Thomasina Coverley and her increasingly bewildered private tutor Septimus Hodge through a maze of farce, wordplay, romance and tragedy. In the following century, Thomasina and Septimus are joined by a group of modern scholars of various disciplines in pursuit of the answer to the greatest question: when people are not wholly in charge of their destinies, random events happen, and the world might end in total chaos, why do we bother to learn, love, or live? Stoppards Arcadia is, more than any text I can think of, the universe in paper covers. As such, it inspired my first attempts at playwriting, and continues to challenge me as a writer and as a teacher of playwriting in the Field of Creative Writing at the University of Gloucestershire."
