Tenderness by General Public on 1983 IRS Records, from 1983 KDWB-FM broadcast with DJ intro.
This song does not get the extensive airplay on oldies rock stations like many other 80's rock songs, and this came from a cassette I recorded directly off KDWB-FM(Minneapolis-MN.) in 1983 when I was in high school. Mickey Billingham helped in creation of this song, the album it came from was titled "All The Rage", and it was featured in the movies Weird Science, and Clueless. Transferred to digital using stereo gear on my channel background photo.

Blackmagic Cinema Camera vs FS100 Lowlight Shoot-Out
Blackmagic Cinema Camera vs FS100 Lowlight Shootout
Sorry for the shaky footage at the FS100 part, but it started raining and I just grabbed the Fs100 and shot the rest hand held in a rush.
I used a Samyang 35mm f1.4 at f2.8 and a Heliopan IR/UV filter.
Lighting was the oil lamp on the table, a oil lamp about 8 ft away on the wall and a garden torch in the background.
Changing the ISO on raw, doesn't make any difference, it`s just metadata (that`s the reason I just used 800 ISO), but makes a difference while ProRes recording.
Of course I could have gone way higher with the ISO on the FS100, but why compare ISO 16000 to ISO 800?
Regarding the speed of the camera, the FS100 wins hands down because of way higher usable ISO. It's the queen of the night, period.
But the BMC gets a way nicer image out of 800 ISO, than the FS100.
The grading was done pretty rudimentary. If I had used masks and secondary grading, I could have get even more out of it.
But this is just to give you guys an idea, what to expect.

Canon 60D Endurance Test
Overheating during heavy, continuous video recording has been a widely discussed limitation of the Canon 7D and 5DMKII. This test was an attempt to see if that issue has been addressed in the new Canon 60D. The basic goal was to see how many consecutive videos the 60D could record before overheating.
Settings:
Video: 1920x1080p/ 30fps (29.97) H.264
Mode: Automatic w/ "Tungsten" White Balance
Media: 8GB SanDisk Extreme Class 6 SDHC Cards
Procedure: Each video was recorded up to the 4.28GB file size limitation of the Fat32 formatting on the SD cards (approximately ~12min/ea.) Once the camera stopped recording, the SD card was replaced so that the video data could be transferred and so that the card could be allowed to cool. The SD card temperatures hovered around 100 degrees F after each recording.
The time between each recording was around 40-60 seconds, and gradually became faster as the procedure was refined during the course of testing. The card swap procedure basically went like this:
-Change the card number sign.
-Eject current card.
-Start transfer of current card data to computer.
-Insert and format new card.
-Start next recording.
-Take ambient and camera body temperature readings.
The camera body and ambient temperature readings were made with a Ryobi infrared thermometer.
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?jspStoreDir=hdus&catalogId;=10053&productId;=100674438
The camera body temperature was taken by shooting the upper-right corner of the LCD bed, which after some trial and error turned out to be the hottest location on the camera.
The ambient temperature was taken by shooting the section of carpet directly beneath the tripod the camera was mounted on.
The IR thermometer was used for both camera body and ambient temp readings with the goal of standardizing the measurements across one device.
Some other notes from the test...
-The clock and lava lamp were included in the scene to provide continuous motion and to show continuity.
-Temperatures were taken at the beginning of each recording while keeping the infrared thermometer 1-2 inches from the test surface.
-During the test, the ambient temperature in the room was kept between 75-80 degrees.
-Each temperature reading was sampled 3X with highest measurement recorded.
-Sony Handycam temperature (used to record the 60D) peaked at around 110 Degrees.
-Each LP-E6 battery lasted approximately 11 or 12 videos, which equals about 140 minutes of recording.

May 12, 2004 - Ramseys on Larry King
A segment wherein caller Tricia Griffith asks John and Patsy Ramsey to account for why they claimed their JonBenet Ramsey Foundation was meant to do good works for the community, yet was closed and never did anything good for anyone. This, by the way, is a fact. The JonBenet Foundation was indeed closed (according to IRS records) several years before this interview took place, and (also according to IRS records) it never made any donations to organizations to protect children from predators as the Ramseys claimed it would. The majority of the money it spent was on office rent and to buy a computer to fill out the required IRS form 990-PF. For the record, Patsy's statement in this video clip that the Ramseys had made a thousand dollar donation to Camp McSauba was also false. At the time of the interview, they had made no such donation, and did not make one until a reporter from the Gaylord Herald Times in Michigan asked the camp about it a couple of weeks later on May 27.

Timbuk3 - Sample The Dog
"Sample the Dog" from Timbuk3's 2nd album. Eden Alley. released on IRS Records 04/18/1988 (US Catalog 7674-22124-1/-2/-4, LP, CD and Cassette). This track failed to make the cut for their single CD collection, Field Guide, issued in 1991 when the band left IRS Still sounds fantastic to these ears.
