The American Federation of Musicians (AFM) is suing both NBC Universal and 20th Century Fox for breach of a contract agreement for using the theme song to The Simpsons for a rollercoaster ride at its Hollywood theme park.

Business Insider reports the AFM filed the complaint Oct. 2 in Los Angeles claiming the action breaches a former agreement originally made with Fox when the AFM initially recorded music for the sitcom. The Hollywood Reporter adds that Universal obtained the recording without giving AFM any notice.

"The producer agrees that all music sound track already recorded, or which will be recorded prior to the expiration of this Agreement, will not be used at any time for any purpose whatsoever except to accompany the picture for which the music sound track was originally prepared," an excerpt from the agreement reads.

Jack White has released a video for "I'm Shakin'" a cover of the Little Willie John classic that is on White's Blunderbuss. The video features two distinct Jack Whites facing off in a guitar battle -- one in all dark colors and the other dressed in light blue.

Interspersed with this are scenes of a kid in a baseball hat dancing in various settings, sometimes amidst the two battling Jacks.

Dori Oskowitz directed the new clip -- he also helmed Passion Pit's recent "Constant Conversations" video.

White is releasing "I'm Shakin'" as a 7-inch vinyl via Third Man records on Oct. 30 along with the non-album song "Blues on Two Trees."

Singer Stevie Nicks says she wouldn't have stood for what hired rapper/hook contributor Nicki Minaj did to Mariah Carey recently, by smack-talking the "Butterfly" singer on the set of American Idol. In fact, she would've literally gone on the attack.

According to The Daily, Nicks was being interviewed for her forthcoming documentary In Your Dreams when the Minaj-Carey topic arose.

"How dare this little girl!" Nicks told the publication. "If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there. I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it."

A member of the Russian punk group Pussy Riot was set free earlier this morning when her lawyer informed the judge that Yekaterina Samutsevich, 30, did not participate in the protest that the group staged against president Vladimir Putin.

Three members of the band, Samutsevich, Maria Alekhina, 24, and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 22, were each sentenced to two years in prison on Aug. 12 for "hooliganism." The group sang an anti-government protest song in a church in Moscow back in February of this year.

A Fine Frenzy sounds like a punk band gone rogue, but giggling Alison Sudol, who took the name from a verse in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," is anything but a delinquent. The LA-based songwriter has been releasing records under the moniker since 2007, but her dream was always to be a writer, not a singer. So in conjunction with her third record, Pines, Alison decided to release a book. Both projects share an emphasis on nature, hope, and joy.

"I wanted to be a writer when I was a kid, and it's like this weird thing where there was such a joy to it for me. It was so easy that I was like 'There's no way I can make career out of this, it's too fun.' So I went into singing," Sudol tells Spinner. "I'm shy, so singing is the most terrifying thing for me. But it moves things. So that's why I ended up going into that. But then getting to do this book was wonderful because it was like pairing something that I love doing so much with my passion, the thing that opens every door for me in life, which is music."
