Gulbarg verdict

Edit The Hindu 28 May 2016
The conviction, even though delayed, of 24 persons in the Gulbarg massacre case is welcome (“24 found guilty in Gulbarg case” and “Finding judicial closure in Gulbarg”, June 3). Edit The Hindu 11 May 2016
The wider question in the debate around the floor test in the Uttarakhand Assembly is about who won in all this political strife (“Rawat confident after trust vote”, May 11). Edit The Hindu 22 Jan 2016
The editorial rightly observes that “Islamabad needs a broader, more comprehensive strategy to deal with the issue at the grassroots level” (“Grim reminder in Charsadda,” Jan. 22). Monsoon washout

Edit The Hindu 14 Aug 2015
The total washout of Parliament’s monsoon session, with no major legislation being passed, is an indication of the degradation in the discourse of Indian politics (“Session ends, but acrimony lingers,” Aug. 14). While commenting on the issue of cattle slaughter (“BJP for law against cattle slaughter in all States,” March 18), I have two contrasting views.
