This is early game footage from the cancelled Flash video game. When our publisher Brash folded we were about 6 months into full production with about a year still to go on the game so please excuse the roughness of how it looks at this stage. A lot of the core elements were just starting to surface and we were all really saddened that the game couldn't be saved. It was showing much potential. Skyfire offers iOS device users the capability to play back Flash based video through a Skyfire proxy server that performs transcoding of the Flash video to a format compatible with Apple iOS devices. However, the app is not optimized yet for iPad or the high resolution Retina display, so web browsing on the iPad is unsatisfactory at the moment. The Flash video capability does work, although video quality seems to vary depending on the traffic load on Skyfire's servers. Escenas tomadas desde Tenerife, a más de 2.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar y a lo largo de un año, para poder captar todos los posibles matices, nubes, estrellas, colores desde un paisaje único y desde uno de los mejores cielos del planeta.
Primero de una serie de vídeos Time Lapse nocturnos y crepusculares tomados en las Islas Canarias tratando de captar la belleza de cada isla.
Para captar el movimiento natural de la tierra, estrellas nubes, sol y Luna se usó la técnica TimeLapse, raíles Dolly verticales y horizontales, cabezales con movimientos horizontal y vertical. toma de datos HDR.
Algunas escenas del vídeo:
- "La Catedral" en el llano de Ucanca, toma nocturna con el Planeta Júpiter cruzando la escena.
- El Árbol de Piedra (Roque Cinchado) con un Tajinaste apuntando a la estrella polar.
- Tajinastes "nocturnos", El Tajinaste Rojo, endemismo Canario que florece en primavera.
- El "Gorro" en el Teide. Formación de una nube conocida como gorro en el pico del Teide.
- "Cascadas de nubes" que atraviesan las montañas como ríos de nubes multicolor.
- Mar de nubes rompiendo contra las montañas al igual que lo hiciera el mar.
- Gran charco de agua en el llano de Ucanca donde estrellas y nubes lenticulares se reflejan.
- Tajinastes nocturnos con la Vía Láctea saliendo por el horizonte tomada con un raíl dolly.
- Video del Sol poniéndose y un doble "rayo verde".
- Pléyades y la galaxia de Andrómeda entre rocas en las minas de San José.
- Escenas espectaculares de la puesta de sol en el Parque Nacional del Teide con nubes y movimiento dolly.
- ArcoIris desde el Parque Nacional del Teide.
- Halos multicolor alrededor de la Luna.
- Nubes estacionarias que permanecen horas en el mismo sitio ven como cambian sus colores por la puesta de Sol.
Daniel López es fotógrafo y astrofotógrafo que vive en Tenerife. Trabaja realizando fotografía y vídeo, especializado en nocturnas usando multitud de técnicas, desde cámara con trípode para captar cielo y tierra en la misma foto, telescopios amateur para realizar fotografías de los objetos astronómicos hasta telescopios profesionales para captar detalles y alta resolución. Scenes taken from Tenerife, more than 2,000 meters above sea level and over a year to capture all possible shades, clouds, stars, colors from a unique landscape and from one of the best skies on the planet.
First in a series of videos nocturnal and crepuscular Time Lapse taken in the Canary Islands trying to capture the beauty of each island.
To capture the natural movement of the earth, stars, clouds, sun and moon TimeLapse technique was used, Dolly vertical and horizontal rails, spindles with horizontal and vertical movements. HDR data collection.

Each day, we are surrounded by seemingly insignificant objects, taking them from one place to the other, or leaving them on a table for weeks, without paying any attention to them. We ignore or forget them, using things only when we need to, making sure they don’t interfere or inhabit our space. But what if they were not so stable and subservient? What if they could swivel, bounce or even fly. And what if they did so all at the same time?
We want to imagine a place where objects could live and move, harmoniously, and of their own accord. Without interfering with each other these objects would bounce, roll, turn and cross each other’s paths.
This experiment is about re-discovering our daily surroundings.
This is the making of the interactive video that was originally made for If You Could Collaborate exhibition. Each object is assigned to a letter on the keyboard, and can be activated or deactivated at any time. The online version will be soon available to play with at dansedance.com

Ok folks, this is it. Here is my first video project.
It is a timelapse video of the Northern Lights. All sequences are shot in or close to Tromsø in Northern Norway.
I have spent over 6months collecting footage for this, I have shot approx 50.000 stills to choose from in making this video. A goal for me has been to try to preserve the real-time speed of the northern lights, or come as close as possible, and present it the way I experienced it, instead of the northern lights just flashing over the sky in the blink of an eye. It may work on other time-lapse videos with fast moving clouds and sunsets etc, but with the northern lights in focus, it should be presented in it's true speed to reflect her beauty, imo. In the video I have put together a collection of slow moving auroras in the woods, over the mounatins, in the city, in the foreshore, reflected in the sea, with some of the most spectacular and strongest auroral outbreaks seen in many years. Included here is a coronal outbreak, in which I am particularly happy to present, since it is very difficult to get on stills, even worse on "film".
I got a fantastic soundtrack made for the video by local musical talent in Tromsø; Per Wollen. A Huge thanks goes to you Per obviously! The audio track "Aurora in the sky" can be found on iTunes.
Also, with two small children at home under 2 years, it goes without saying I could never have done this without the fantastic understanding and help from my girlfriend. This has been an insanely time-consuming project. Both hours after hours out in the cold, but also all the hours in post-processing during late nights has led to a severe lack of sleep. And although you always feel like there is something you could have improved, even slightly, before releasing, you come to a point when you just have to finish. And that time is now.

Footage has been prepared for viewing in sRGB color space since this is the space most people use. Hence wide gamut displays may display colors wrong, especially green ones which the aurora mostly appears in, since the most clipping in color space when downscaling to sRGB is done in the green color area.

Cool info - those are light streaks after he eats the cupcake which means we were taking those pictures in pitch black with a flash and a 10 sec exposure. I probably tripped ten times running around in the dark making those streaks...
