Good Morning America: Dr. Dean Ornish on Reversing Prostate Cancer
Good Morning America: Dean Ornish, MD discusses discusses his reversing Prostate Cancer study with Diane Sawyer. We examined the effects of intensive lifestyle changes on men with early stage Prostate Cancer after 1 year. After 1 year, none of the men in the experimental group underwent conventional treatments compared to 6 in the control group. Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) decreased 4% in the experimental group compared to a 6% increase in the control group, and prostate cancer cell growth was inhibited almost eight times as much in the experimental group compared to the control group. These results indicate that intensive lifestyle changes may effect the progression of early low grade prostate cancer. Journal of Urology (PDF) www.pmri.org

How to Meditate with Dean Ornish
www.wilddivine.com We chose the title of this week's guided meditation How to Meditate with Dean Ornish because the essence of this meditation is beginning the practice of guided meditation by becoming aware of the breath and mindfulness. The serene images of nature also share a theme of setting out on a path, which many of us do when we meditate. Some of us more than others when our mind wanders, we just bring it back and allow our focus to be on the breath. For more Dr. Ornish, additional guided meditations and other videos on learning how to meditate be sure to visit our channel and subscribe or add us as a friend.
