Second round of Iran-P5+1 talks in Baghdad-News Analysis-05-21-2012
Iran may be working on a secret nuclear weapons program, some western countries claim. We are making peaceful use of nuclear energy as a committed member of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Iran insists. Since 20 years ago, Israel and the US have been talking about an imminent Iranian nuclear weapon. This, while the US National Intelligence Estimates since 2007 do not give credence to the allegations American leaders are making against Tehran. Iran-P5+1 talks continues in Moscow-News Analysis-05-24-2012
The much anticipated Baghdad talks between Iran and the P5+1 had one tangible result: another round of talks has already been set for next month in Moscow, but what really changes as these talks approach? Is the US becoming less confrontational? A round of fresh US senate sanctions suggests otherwise, how about realizing Iran's right to a peaceful nuclear energy program? In return the US still has "all options on the table". Follow our Facebook on: www.facebook.com Follow our Twitter on: twitter.com

Kurdistan's airports worried about Baghdad's airspace control
www.youtube.com/SupperWorldNews The Iraqi government's tight control of Kurdish airspace is a growing concern for Kurdistan's airports as political relations between Baghdad and Arbil continue to sour. Kurdish airport directors say Iraq's government could close airspace without warning, meaning planes could not land.

Iran's nuclear rights and Baghdad talks-Iran Today 06-01-2012
The anticipation finally comes to an end. On the 23rd of May 2012, under a Baghdad sky filled with dust, talks got under way between Iran and the P5+1 group members. Two months ago, on the 14th of April 2012, based on Iran's suggestion, the two sides met in Istanbul to conduct talks without any preconditions. Even the sand storm engulfing Baghdad failed to impede the negotiations. Many experts from both sides had high hopes that the talks would yield desired results: Especially as only two days before, IAEA Chief Yukia Amano had unexpectedly travelled to Iran to conduct talks with Iranian officials. During his whistle-stop visit, Amano held talks with the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council for more than two hours. The two sides seemingly left the talks contented with the outcome. But among all the hopes attached to the Baghdad talks, two days before they got underway, The US Senate threw a spanner in the works and imposed fresh sanctions against Iran. The sanctions made subject to Washington's embargo, any country or company that entered business contracts with Iran in oil or nuclear sectors. The ratification of the sanctions came as many believed that the Baghdad talks would lead to a halt in at least part of the previous sanctions. The nuclear one thousand and one nights' story did not conclude in Baghdad. After three rounds of intense negotiations over two days, the parties agreed to conduct a further round of negotiations on the 18th and 19th of ...

Tareq al-Hashemi, former Iraqi VP reactions after being sentenced to death in absentia
Fugitive Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on Monday rejected the death sentence handed to him by a Baghdad court on charges of running death squads. Hashemi earlier described the trial as a political vendetta against him. Al-Hashemi fled to Turkey after Iraq's Shiite-led government issued the terror charges against him in December, the day after US troops withdrew from the country. He would receive a retrial if he agrees to return to Baghdad, but al-Hashemi has refused, saying he will never get a fair hearing in a Baghdad court. He reacts on FRANCE 24. Murder Rates Keep Rising in Venezuela (Part 1/3)
Last year alone, Caracas had more violent deaths than Baghdad. Ryan Duffy traveled to Venezuela to investigate the country's crime epidemic. -- While President Hugo Chavez has raked in billions from Venezuela's oil boom, the crime rate in Caracas has skyrocketed. The crime epidemic has been so punishing that it could be the reason Hugo Chavez finally topples in the country's upcoming elections. BREAKING NEWS build up to WW3: US wants CHAOS in SYRIA they ALLY with al-Qaeda (TERROR) Al-Assad OUT
BREAKING NEWS build up to WW3: US wants CHAOS in SYRIA they ALLY with al-Qaeda (TERROR) Al-Assad OUT US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has said that President Assad should "get the hell out" of power. Statements such as these, however, are symptomatic of a confused and contradictory foreign policy on Syria, expert Lawrence Freeman told RT. Panetta, currently on tour of the Middle East, said in a CNN interview that the US is ramping up economic and diplomatic pressure "to have Assad step down and to transition to a democratic form of government." At the same time, the US Defense Secretary noted that it would be "important to maintain as much military and police" as possible after Assad leaves. Lawrence Freeman, editor of Executive Intelligence Review magazine, believes Panetta's statements indicate that Washington lacks a comprehensive policy in Syria, making it all the more the possible that the war could spill over and grasp the entire region. RT: Is it too early to suggest that Assad's days are numbered? Lawrence Freeman: Absolutely. What you have in the United States is, you really have a conflict between two policies. On the one hand, you have Susan Rice, Samantha Powers, President Obama in a very aggressive, regime change mode to get rid of the President of Syria. On the other hand, if you look at General Dempsey's comments, he continues to say that this is not the right moment for the military to intervene, that we need to have diplomacy; we need to find other ways ...
