Monday May 28th 2012....After getting a light at CN Snake 422 starts pulling but shortly after a knuckle breaks causing the air hose to separate forcing the train to lose its air and into emergency brake application. The knuckle breaks at 0:55 and instantly the train is thrown ahead which is due to the consist suddenly becoming light from very heavy. The separation was at car 33 and since the train went from pulling an extrememly long load to just 33 cars causes it to jerk forward like it did. Picture yourself pulling on a rope tied to a very heavy item and suddenly the rope breaks which would result in you getting thrown back. Trains are equipped with a Fail Safe braking system, this system operates with the train needing air to release the breaks in order for it move. If no air is supplied to the train the breaks cannot be released therefore can't be moved.
Shortly after I saw the conductor walking the train (you can see him waving at the camera in the previous video). He had asked me if I heard or seen anything unusual, I explained to him I only heard the loud rush of air escaping the train. He as well as myself suspected a broken knuckle due to the following reasons:
- The trains excessive length.
- Having the consist stopped on a grade. There's a slight grade located between Hamilton Jct and Bayview.
- Trying to pull while having a large part of the consist on a grade.
- High Heat (32 degrees)
These elements combined likely contributed to the broken knuckle along with overuse/stress.

A422 road
The A422 is an "A" road for east-west journeys in south central England, connecting the county towns of Bedford and Worcester by way of Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon. For most of its length, it is a narrow single carriageway.
Route (east to west)
The eastern end of the road is at Bromham on the outskirts of Bedford, where it branches off the A428. Its route then crosses into the Borough of Milton Keynes. It briefly merges with the A509 to bypass Newport Pagnell. Entering Milton Keynes itself, it crosses the northern part of the city as a dual carriageway known locally as the H3 Monks Way. It has followed these routes since they were developed in the 1970s as part of the grid road system in Milton Keynes.
Upon meeting the A5 the A422 follows its route for 3 miles (4.8 km) before crossing briefly into Northamptonshire and regaining its identity (and single carriageway status).It then bypasses Deanshanger, goes through the centre of Buckingham, around Brackley in Northamptonshire, into Oxfordshire, just before crossing the M40 at Junction 11 and into Banbury. From the A422/B4525 roundabout, on the western edge of Middleton Cheney, Banbury (east of Junction 11), the Road is dualled until it meets the A423 and resumes as a single carriageway. From there to Stratford upon Avon, it is a minor road crossing into Warwickshire at the Battle of Edgehill site, from there it declines steeply down the Sunrising Hill escarpment and then across the Fosse Way.

ʻAkaka Falls is located on Kolekole Stream. A large stone in the stream about 70 feet (21 m) upstream of the falls is called Pōhaku o Kāloa.
