Nathan Leslie McCullum (born 1 September 1980 in Dunedin) is a New Zealand international cricketer. He is also a member of the Otago Volts, competing in the State Championship, State Shield and State Twenty20 competitions. He has also represented New Zealand in Twenty20 Internationals and One Day Internationals.

McCullum is a right hand lower-order batsman and right arm off-break bowler. He is the son of former Otago representative Stu McCullum and the older brother of current Otago and New Zealand international Brendon McCullum.

He made his first class debut for Otago in the 1999–2000 season. His first List A match came in the 2000–01 season and his first Twenty20 domestic match was against Canterbury at Christchurch on 13 January 2006. Later that year, McCullum was selected as part of the 30-man preliminary squad for the Champions Trophy alongside fellow Otago team-mates Warren McSkimming and Bradley Scott but ultimately missed out on the final squad. He made his Twenty20 International debut for New Zealand against South Africa on 19 September 2007 at the Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa. His highest score of 10 not out came against Australia on 15 February 2009.

Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi (Urdu: صاحبزادہ محمد شاہد خان آفریدی) (born 1 March 1980 in Khyber Agency of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan), popularly known as Shahid Afridi (Pashto: شاهد ‏افریدی), is a Pakistani cricketer. Between 1996 and 2012, Afridi played 27 Tests, 334 One Day Internationals, and 46 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for the Pakistani national team. He made his ODI debut on 2 October 1996 against Kenya and his Test debut on 22 October 1998 against Australia.

He is known for his aggressive batting style, and holds the record for the fastest ODI century which he made in his first international innings, as well as scoring 32 runs in a single over, the second highest scoring over ever in an ODI. He also holds the distinction of having hit the most number of sixes in the history of ODI cricket. Afridi considers himself a better bowler than batsman, and has taken 48 Test wickets and over 300 in ODIs. Currently Afridi is the leading wicket taker in the Twenty20 format taking 53 wickets from 43 matches.

Shakib Al Hasan (Bengali: সাকিব আল হাসান) (born 24 March 1987) is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. He is an all-rounder, batting left-handed in the middle order and bowling slow left-arm orthodox. He represented Bangladesh at under-19 level, 18 Youth One Day Internationals between 2005 and 2006. Shakib made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Zimbabwe in August 2006, and his Test debut the following May against India. During a match against New Zealand in 2008, Shakib took the best bowling figures by a Bangladesh player in Tests, 7 wickets for 37 runs. Until then, Shakib had been considered more of a batsman than a bowler, although still an all-rounder. From January 2009 to April 2011 and again in March 2012, Shakib was ranked first amongst ODI all-rounders by the ICC. In December 2011, he became the world's top-ranked Test all-rounder.

Roelof Erasmus van der Merwe (born 31 December 1984) is a South African cricketer who plays domestically for Titans and has represented South Africa in Limited overs cricket. He is currently signed by the Delhi Daredevils for the Indian Premier League. He is a right-hand middle order batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler.

Born in Johannesburg, van der Merwe made his List A debut in October 2006 for Northerns against North West. He was dismissed for a duck and bowled his full allocation of nine overs conceding 29 runs. In December 2006 he made his first-class debut for Northerns against Limpopo he bowled 12 wicketless overs but scored 36 runs and took three catches.

Van der Merwe had a successful 2007-08 season, moving into franchise cricket with the Titans. He made his debut for Titans in the SuperSport Series in November 2007 against the Eagles. His first one-day appearance for them came in February 2008 against Zimbabwe he claimed four wickets conceding 24 runs (4/24). He finished the MTN Domestic Championship as Titans leading wicket-taker with 27 wickets at an average of 14.25. He also scored 269 runs at 29.88. In the Standard Bank Pro20 Series which followed van der Merwe was the third leading wicket-taker with 13 victims at 13.92, he also contributed 192 runs at 27.42. Titans won both 50 over and 20 over competitions and for van der Merwe's part in it he was awarded Player of the Year, MTN Domestic Championship Player of the Year, Standard Bank Pro20 Series Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year at the team's end of season award. On a national level he was selected Domestic Newcomer of the Year at the SA Cricket Awards.

Brendon Barrie McCullum (born 27 September 1981 in Dunedin) is a New Zealand international cricketer, who plays for the Otago Volts at provincial level. He is a wicket-keeper, as well as an aggressive batsman who opens in One-day Internationals and is known for his fast scoring rate. His brother Nathan McCullum is also a first-class and international cricketer at provincial level, and their father Stuart McCullum was a long-serving first-class player for Otago. Both Brendon and Nathan attended King's High School, Dunedin.

McCullum also played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League in the first three; but in 2010, he was signed in by Kochi Tuskers Kerala. He scored 158 not out in the inaugural match of the competition on 18 April 2008. The innings is currently the world highest score by a batsman in a Twenty20 match.

He also has the ability to play the Dilscoop, which involves the batsman squatting down and scooping deliveries back over the wicketkeeper's head. Playing this shot in a Twenty20 International match on 28 February 2010, against Australia, he managed to hit Shaun Tait for two sixes in an over back over Brad Haddin's head and can also execute reverse sweep well.
