Andrews studied animation at the Character Animation Program at CalArts. He is also considered to be Brad Bird's "right-hand man". Unlike other CalArts alumni, he is not a fan of Disney films, and claimed he was a bigger fan of Kimba the White Lion, Speed Racer, and Robotech.
He is the father of Maeve Andrews, who voiced Jack-Jack Parr in The Incredibles. Andrews replaced Brenda Chapman as director of Brave (2012). Both were credited as directors, and they won the 2013 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. As of January 2013, he is writing and directing another original film at Pixar.

Mark Andrews (born 21 February 1972 in Elliot, Eastern Cape (then Cape Province), South Africa) is a former rugby player.
He achieved his Junior Springbok colours in waterpolo while still at school. He switched to rugby as his main sport and achieved honours while at school and university. He played for Natal's winning Currie Cup team in 1995 and 1996.
Andrews made his international test debut for South Africa on 11 June 1994 against England in Cape Town. He went on to play 77 test and 13 mid-week games for South Africa. During his test career he scored 12 tries for a tally of 60 test points.
He was part of the 1995 Rugby World Cup winning team alongside another native of Elliot, prop Os du Randt.
Mark Andrews (born 23 January 1992) is a Welsh professional wrestler signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) performing under the name Mandrews, after spending several years appearing worldwide on the independent wrestling circuit.
Andrews started training at the age of 13, upon discovery of the NWA Wales training school in Newport. As well as training there under Edd Ferris, Andrews would travel to Kent three times a year to attend NWA UK Hammerlock's training camps, where he learned off the likes of John Ryan, Paul Tracey and Andre Baker. It is here that he met Zack Sabre, Jr., who would go on to become Andrews’s mentor.
It was for NWA Wales that Andrews made his wrestling debut, appearing in a battle royal in 2006, in a show which also featured future TNA wrestler Magnus.
Shortly afterwards, Andrews began competing under a mask, using the name “The Lightning Kid”. He has stated that this was to hide his young age from audiences. Andrews’ rise as The Lightning Kid was gradual, with most his appearances in 2006 and 2007 limited to promotions in South Wales. Perhaps most notable in this period was an appearance at the 2007 Holbrooks Festival in Coventry, for Phoenix Wrestling Association.
Mark Andrews is one of the most underrated tight ends in the NFL. The Baltimore Raven is an excellent pass catcher and has a chance to form a tremendous partnership with Lamar Jackson. Andrews proved to be an excellent player at Oklahoma University and had an excellent rookie season with the Ravens. Remember the name, Mark Andrews. Twitter / Instagram: @RespectthePoint
