Egypt 15: Hatshepsut
drdavidneiman.com Two political factions fight for control of Egypt. One faction is led by Hatshepsut who has gained political control of Egypt after the death of her husband Thutmose II. She is head of the regency and is to lead the country until the male heir, Thumose III - son of Thutmose II and his second wife Isis - is old enough to assume control. Hatshepsut pursues her effort to make Egypt an economic and trading powerhouse. Bu tensions grows as Hatshpsut finds a myriad of ways to avoid passing the thrown to her successor. Egypt 14: The 18th Dynasty
drdavidneiman.com After defeating the Hyksos in 1500 BCE under the reign of Thutmose II, the Egyptian elite faced a crisis. Several factions developed with differing opinions over how Egypt should conduct itself now that they are free of the foreign invaders. Should they return to the "old ways", launch invasions and expand their territory or concentrate on strengthening Egypt through trade. Dr Hawass in the Valley of the Kings: KV64 is going to be discovered! (Part 1 of 2)
(heritage-key.com for full transcript) There are still a number of kings and other royals who were probably buried in the Valley of the Kings, but whose tombs have not yet been found. The resting places of Ramesses VIII, Thutmose II, and the queens and princes of the 18th Dynasty are still unknown. Hawass believes that there are still many treasures left to be discovered in the valley. In the video Dr. Hawass (http reviews some of the areas of interest in the Central Valley area. He mentions the northern side of the Central Valley, between the tombs of Ramesses II and Merneptah, where a drainage system built by the ancient Egyptians to catch the tears of the gods was discovered. As I alluded to in a previous blog about KV64, the flood patterns of the Valley of the Kings are a major indicator of where the next tomb will be found, and you can expect to read more about that on Heritage Key very soon. PRE-EGYPT & MODERN FRAUDS.2
Thutmose III's mummy was discovered in the Deir el-Bahri above the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut in 1881. He was interred along with those of other eighteenth and nineteenth dynasty leaders Ahmose I, Amenhotep I, Thutmose I, Thutmose II, Ramesses I, Seti I, Ramesses II, and Ramesses IX, as well as the twenty-first dynasty pharaohs Pinedjem I, Pinedjem II, and Siamun. While it is popularly thought that his mummy originally was unwrapped by Gaston Maspero in 1886, it was in fact first unwrapped by Émile Brugsch who "evacuated" the mummies from the Deir el-Bahri Cache five years earlier in 1881. Soon after its arrival in the Boulak Museum (The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities), and while Maspero was away in France, the Director General of the Egyptian Antiquities Service ordered the mummy unwrapped and then re-wrapped. So when it was "officially" unwrapped by Maspero in 1886, he almost certainly knew it was in relatively poor condition. The mummy had been damaged extensively in antiquity by tomb robbers, and its wrappings subsequently cut into and torn by the Rassul family who had rediscovered the tomb and its contents only a few years before. Maspero's description of the body provides an idea as to the magnitude of the damage done to the body: His mummy was not securely hidden away, for towards the close of the 20th dynasty it was torn out of the coffin by robbers, who stripped it and rifled it of the jewels with which it was covered, injuring it in their haste to carry away ...

A book review by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shamsaddin Megalommatis Online publications include amongst others: www.afroarticles.com www.phrasebase.com Discussing with Prof. Muhammad Shamsaddin Megalommatis (Μουχάμαντ Σαμσαντίν Μεγαλομμάτης) about the preparation of further videos out of his articles about Alexandria, I was asked to shift interest again to the South, and focus on one of the most impressive persons of the World History. I was really delighted to hear Prof. Megalommatis speaking to me about the magnificence of a splendid monument that I had visited twice in Luxor, and more specifically in Thebes West: the mortuary temple of the first woman ''King'' of the World History. The reason Prof. Megalommatis suggested me to make a video out of his article -- book review of a renowned French Egyptologist's book is that the author passed away at the age of 98, just a few months ago. In 2002, at the age of 88, Christiane Desroches-Noblecourt published a book about Queen Hatshepsut in French: La Reine Mysterieuse Hatshepsout; Megalommatis published then this book review in English in an Egyptian monthly. Almost a quarter century earlier, in 1978 -- 9, Megalommatis was Desroches-Noblecourt's student at the Paris Ecole du ...
