Ron Fournier (b.1963) is an American national political journalist currently of the National Journal. In June, 2010 Fournier left the Associated Press (AP) where he served as Washington bureau chief.
Fournier is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He attended the University of Detroit.
Fournier began his journalism career in 1985 at The Sentinel-Record in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Two years later, he moved to the Arkansas Democrat in Little Rock, Arkansas. He stayed there for another two years before joining the Little Rock bureau of the AP in 1989. While there, he covered Bill Clinton during his final term as Governor. When Clinton was elected President, Fournier moved to the AP's Washington bureau.
Fournier left the AP in 2004 to take a Harvard Institute of Politics fellowship. During this period, he also co-wrote the book Applebee's America with Matthew Dowd, a Republican strategist, and Doug Sosnik, a Democratic strategist. In 2006, he took a position as editor-in-chief of a new Internet website called Hotsoup.com, which aimed to foster discussion on a number of topics including politics. The site failed to catch on, however, and Fournier returned to the AP in March 2007 as its Online Political Editor, after considering “a senior advisory role” with John McCain's presidential campaign.
Ryan Malone (born December 1, 1979) is an American professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Ryan Malone was drafted in the fourth round, 115th overall by the Penguins in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
Malone was born near Pittsburgh, where he attended Upper St. Clair High School in suburban Pittsburgh for two years. He played hockey during his junior year at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Faribault, Minnesota, a school later attended by Zach Parise and Sidney Crosby. During his senior year, Malone played with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL and attended Millard North High School.
Malone was drafted shortly after graduating high school, and went on to play at St. Cloud State University for four seasons. Malone played 3 games of the 2002–03 AHL season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins after his last season at St. Cloud State. He played 81 games of his rookie season with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2003–04 season. Malone finished third on the team in scoring behind Dick Tarnstrom and Aleksey Morozov. Malone did not play with the Penguins again until the 2005–06 season, spending time during the 2004–05 lockout in Finland, Italy, and Switzerland.
Carey Price (born August 16, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). Price was the Canadiens' first round selection (fifth overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Price spent his major-junior career with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
Before Price was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens, he established himself as a top prospect playing with the Tri-City Americans beginning in 2002–03. Price was particularly strong during his draft year in 2004–05, posting 8-shutouts, a 2.34 goals against average (GAA) and a .920 save percentage. In his last year in the WHL, he was awarded the Del Wilson Trophy as the WHL goaltender of the year and was named to the WHL First All-Star Team. He was also named CHL Goaltender of the Year.
Upon completing his award-winning season in the WHL, Price immediately began his professional career with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League (AHL), having signed with the Canadiens in 2007 to a three-year entry-level contract. He joined the Bulldogs for the last three games of the regular season and the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs, recording his first professional game and win on April 13, 2007 against the Grand Rapids Griffins. He was named the first star of the game upon stopping 27 of 28 shots. Price went on to lead the Bulldogs to a 15–6 playoff record and the 2007 Calder Cup championship, posting an impressive 2.06 GAA and .936 save percentage. In his first game of the Calder Cup finals, he stopped all 46 shots to post a shutout. He subsequently won the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy as the Calder Cup playoffs MVP, making him the youngest player ever to receive the award.
Plot
When the body of the executive of hockey Benoit Brisset is found on the billboard of the border of Quebec and Ontario, the jurisdiction of the crime is shared between the two police forces and detectives David Bouchard from Montreal and Martin Ward from Toronto are assigned to work together. With totally different styles, attitudes and languages, the reckless David and the ethical Martin join force to disclose the identity of the Tattoo Killer, a deranged serial-killer that is killing managers of hockey.
