The thirteenth year of the Jaypee IIFA Awards surpassed expectations with a spectacular show that saw Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara bag the top Awards of the night including Best Picture, Best Story, Best Director for Zoya Akthar and Actor In Supporting Role for the talented, Farhan Akhtar. Celebrating the magic of Indian Cinema, the Jaypee IIFA Awards was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium where actors, Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akthar played host to the three day Videocon DDB IIFA Weekend. The duo kept the audience entertained throughout with their good humoured jokes and commendable on-stage camaraderie. Vidya Balan won the Award for Best Actress for her much acclaimed role in The Dirty Picture while Ranbir Kapoor came out victorious for Best Male performance for his role in Rockstar. On having won the awards, Ranbir said, "I am grateful to have got the opportunity to work with masterminds like Imtiaz Ali, AR Rahman and my grand uncle Shammi Kapoor in this film." Emotions were also at a high when Ramesh Sippy took to the stage for his Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema lauded by a trio of greats including, Dr. Kamal Hassan, Javed Akthar and Rishi Kapoor, all three of whom have worked closely with the Director. IIFA Weekend saw Ranbir, Chitrangada, Bipasha, Prateik, Parineeti, Ayushman etc spend time having fun in and around Singapore & IIFA Rocks, a star-studded event complete with music, fashion, dance and cinema brought to the ramp a night of glamour, glitz and entertainment -- a coming together of the best in Indian fashion and music! The show saw performances by Vishal and Shekhar, Leslie Lewis, Usha Uthup, Hariharan and Mika. Show stoppers included Nargis Fakhri, Dia Mirza, Aditi Rao Hydari, Bipasha Basu, Zoa Morani. The evening was hosted by the charismatic duo of Ayushman Khurana and Chitrangada Singh. The original, "IIFA Gitterati by Masaba", was showcased! Created by the nouveau designer, it is a chic fusion wear line with strong Indian elements - the colour palette and imagery of the collection is inspired by the IIFA logo and brand world. Varun Bahl, showcased his collection inspired by the world of Grey Goose. 'The Eternal Lightness of Being' by Suneet Verma. was an exquisite collection of high-end jewelry studded with emeralds, exuding a regal charm and allure. The lines was showcased along with electrifying performances by Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra who performed on songs from their film Teri Meri Kahaani, Neha Dhupia and Gauhar Khan.

The 'Green Carpet' of Grey Goose IIFA Rocks! saw stunning beauties - Dia Mirza wore a short grey Rocky S number while Nargis Fakhri donned a peacock blue chiffon sari and an armoured style blouse, the daring Bipasha showed off her washboard abs in a Shivan and Narresh sari. Hosts for the night Chitrangada Singh wore Gucci while Ayushmann Khurana looked dapper in a suede blue blazer. The second night of the Videocon DDB IIFA Weekend saw Grey Goose presents IIFA Rocks present the best of fashion and music at the beautiful Esplanade, Singapore. The evening witnessed leading avant garde Indian designers Varun Bahl, Suneet Varma and Masaba showcase their collections as some of Bollywood's best beauties walked their ramp for them and a host of musicians came together to be part of the gala event. The Technical Award and Special Award winners of the Jaypee Group IIFA Award 2012 were also announced. The thirteenth year of the Jaypee IIFA Awards surpassed expectations with a spectacular show that saw Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara bag the top Awards of the night including Best Picture, Best Story, Best Director for Zoya Akthar and Actor In Supporting Role for the talented, Farhan Akhtar. Celebrating the magic of Indian Cinema, the Jaypee IIFA Awards was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium where actors, Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akthar played host to the three day Videocon DDB IIFA Weekend. The duo kept the audience entertained throughout with their good humoured jokes and commendable on-stage camaraderie. Vidya Balan won the Award for Best Actress for her much acclaimed role in The Dirty Picture while Ranbir Kapoor came out victorious for Best Male performance for his role in Rockstar. On having won the awards, Ranbir said, "I am grateful to have got the opportunity to work with masterminds like Imtiaz Ali, AR Rahman and my grand uncle Shammi Kapoor in this film." Emotions were also at a high when Ramesh Sippy took to the stage for his Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema lauded by a trio of greats including, Dr. Kamal Hassan, Javed Akthar and Rishi Kapoor, all three of whom have worked closely with the Director. Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema was given to the eternal diva, Rekha post a tribute performance to her famed songs by Priyanka Chopra. International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) takes a look at the process of creating these immortal tunes, lyrics and songs. The music created transcends our cinema beyond Indian shores reaching millions of film fans, everyday. IIFA too, lays emphasis on Indian music through the IIFA Music Workshop -- 'Music: Bringing Indian Cinema Alive' exploring the elements that go into the creation of a song from the composition and lyrics to the arrangement and singing. The workshop will feature a host of eminent personalities including Film Directors like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Zoya Akhtar, Music Composers Vishal & Shekhar and Shantanu Moitra, Lyricists Javed Akhtar and Prasoon Joshi. Industry veteran, Atul Churamani will be moderating this session with the film directors and musicians. They will be seen sharing anecdotes, trivia, and personal experiences from their own films for an interactive session with the audience. There will be an illustrious line-up of Indian singers who are expected to attend the event including Ash King, Hariharan, Harshdeep Kaur, Kamal Khan, Lesle Lewis, Mika, Mohit Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal and Usha Uthup among others.
