Dedrick D'Mon Rolison (born August 9, 1971), better known by his stage name Mack 10, is an American rapper and actor. He has sold nearly 11 million records independently combining his solo and group works. Mack 10 made his first appearance on Ice Cube's 1994 "Bootlegs & B-Sides" compilation on the remixed track "What Can I Do?" and was a member of hip hop supergroup Westside Connection along with Ice Cube and WC. Mack 10 is also the founder of independent record label Hoo-Bangin' Records. He takes his nickname from the Ingram MAC-10 submachine gun. He is also a member of the Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods (IFGB), as told in YG's song "Bicken Back Being Bool" (Remix).
Mack 10 made his first appearance on Ice Cube's "Bootlegs & B-Sides" compilation on the track "What Can I Do? (Remix)"
His debut, gold selling album “Mack 10” was released in 1995 on the Priority label. He made his hip hop debut with the hit single, "Foe Life", off his self-titled cd. His next two releases “Based on a True Story” (1997) and “The Recipe” (1998) also reached gold certification and peaked at #14 and #15 on the Billboard 200, respectively.
Mack 10 is the debut album from the American gangsta rapper Mack 10. "Mack 10" is also seen by many fans and peers to be a West coast classic.
"Made Niggaz" is the last single for which Makaveli made an official video before he died. It features on the Supercop (soundtrack) and Gang Related (soundtrack) with additional vocals from Outlawz. It was released in 1997 to support the release of the film. It was also on the soundtrack of the 1996 film Supercop starring Jackie Chan.The single peaked number 75 in billboard 100 and number 1 in the rap singles.
The official version of the video contains footage from Gang Related as well as Makaveli and the Outlawz rapping in front of a 360° camera. Members of the rap group O.F.T.B. appear in the video as well.
2nd version is the explicit one with Makaveli and the Outlawz dressed as cops shooting at Biggie & Puffy, killing other parties meeting with Biggie while the former two make it out alive. Half of it was officially released on Death Row Uncut DVD. The video uses the same actors to portray Puff Daddy & Biggie as the same as "Hit 'Em Up" and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted". Puff Daddy is called "Buff" & Biggie is called "Pig" & "Piggie". During the music video Biggie begs Puff to pull over to buy food but Puff refuses. The music video was directed by Gobi Nejad.
